Navy SEALs? Really? Really dude? If it came down to what you're talking about, it would be a full scale civil war. And I hate to say it, but there aren't nearly enough SEALs to go around in that situation.

Without the second amendment, we cannot defend the rest if them.

We don't trash the 1st Amendment when someone burns a flag or makes art w a Crucifix in a bottle of piss.

We don't trash the 4th Amendment when guilty murderer goes free due to police officers violating search and seizure laws.

We don't trash the 5th Amendment when a person we know is guilty of a horrendous crime refuses to testify under oath.

We don't trash the 6th Amendment when a case is dismissed against an obviously guilty defendant because the Govt. failed to proceed with the case in a speedy manner or failed to produce the accuser against the accused.

We don't trash the 7th Amendment when a jury makes a horrible decision ala O.J. Simpson.

You can't, but with the existing saturation of guns in our society, it makes little sense to enact any type of ban whose restrictions only effect truly law-abiding folks.
