Because I like to make grown men cry  Cheesy

Why did you watch it... despite the graphic warning? ...Because you needed a good cry!  Grin

It's good for men to get in touch with their emotions. Enjoy the tears... they're good for ya!  Tongue

I'm an emotional sissy.

I don't hide it.

I began doing behind-the-back uprights on the Smith a little over two months ago after chatting with Wes. I use a very light weight with strict form. It's the only change I've made to my shoulder training, and it's given me the most noticeable improvement in my lateral delt development ever.

I recently shot Wes a PM telling him as much. My shoulders have always sucked, and this is quite literally the BEST they've ever looked!

Jeff Hardy future will follow the dynamite kid..
he will be in a wheel chair with no mobility and on pain killers  Undecided
I went to a TNA house show about a year ago and Jeff Hardy was doing insane stuff.
After the match he was iced heavy in the back area as he was taking pictures in the
Ring with fans.. he looked in severe pain while standing ...
He was really cool with fans .. he was taking pics for over 45 minutes..

Crazy and commendable.
Most guys "take it easy" at the smaller show, and if it's not even on TV...

The study also doesn’t say anything about the effects of fish oil on men who already have cancer. “This study is not about men with prostate cancer,” Brasky said, noting that some studies have suggested fish oil might be beneficial in men who already have cancer.

So, after fish oil gives me prostate cancer, it will help me treat it?

I wonder what kind of research funding I could get.

I wonder if this guy's problems are behind him, or if he's still a mess.
Looks like he's working in Howard Brody's "Ring Warriors" promotion, so that's a good sign I suppose...

I don't know...
I used to have a buddy that was in a similar boat. He had a promising contract with the Fed after a good start with TNA. Then, WWE released him and he got totally f*cked up on drugs and "borrowing" money from everyone around him. He's about 40 now and still trying to make it to the big time in pro-wrestling by working the minor-leagues.

Some of these guys need to realize when it's time to put on their big boy pants and get a real career and secure some kind of future. The guy I knew threw away a family, friends, a gorgeous and sweet fiancé, and will probably never pass a pre-employment background check ever again.

I recall another occasion Sig was talking to three members about his time on stage.  He said he would bend spikes and throw them out to the audience.  Well one time he said someone in the audience was straighting them out and throwing them back.  I made a smart remark at that point and said maybe Grimek was in the audience.  That drew a stare from Sig so I shut up and just listened.  Sig said from then on he would close the spikes as much as he could and then with one in each hand squeeze them so nobody could get his fingers between the closed spikes.  Then he would throw them to the audience.  Problem solved.  He also mentioned that when he met Hackenschmidt he told him he had the same problem and solved it the same way.Must have been a problem for all strongmen back then.

That's funny!
Sig and Grimek were friends, correct? But, John spent most of his time at Hoffman's?

I haven't taken them in years, but AST's multi is/was a two-a-day that was smooth coated and of a manageable size.

Grin in his time he started a new trend away from mass for mass sake alone, sort of brought back the gironda ideal of bodybuilding.

I know that one of Zane's biggest criticisms is that he was "small." Comparatively, he was a bit smaller than much of his competition, but he certainly was not puny, and the symmetry and flow he brought onstage was unreal!!

An incident involving Sig, myself and my mother.  Yes, fellows my mother!

One day Sig showed me a rubber mat that we would use to prevent slipping when doing squats etc.  The mat was well worn and crumbling.  Sig was down to his last couple of mats and could not find them in the stores in his area.  I said my mom uses them in the house to kneel on.  Sig said really!  Could your mom buy them for me I will gladly pay for them.  A few days later I arrived at the gym with about a dozen new mats.  Sig was pleasantly surprised and promptly paid for them.  He said to convey his thanks to my mom.  Mom said he was very welcome.  Leave it to moms to come thru in a pinch, even for the gym!

Tom

Ha, ha...
That's great, man. Mother really does always know best!

Glad to see you're still on the board, Tom!!

Joan Rivers calls President Obama “gay” and describes Michelle Obama with a homophobic slur in a new video.

VIDEO BELOW

Asked by a street reporter whether a gay president or a female president will take office first, Rivers replied, “We already have it with Obama.”

“You know Michelle is a tr*nny,” she went on. “A transgender. We all know.”

As Gossip Cop previously reported, Rivers officiated a gay wedding on Monday.

Last week, she was threatened with a lawsuit for jokes she made about Kristen Stewart.

Check out the video below, and tell us what you think of Rivers’ comments.

I love Joan Rivers! The only place I see her regularly now is that show her kid produces, Fashion Police. I'm honestly surprised she hasn't gotten more heat from different people over comments she's made.

I still wonder what things would have been like had she gotten The Tonight Show gig after Carson retired. I know she subbed for him a good bit and allegedly had a bit of a sore ass when Leno got the job.

Neutral grip dumbbell chest press where you push the dumbbells together the entire movement.

Gotcha.

I'm curious if there've been studies comparing the vitamin D from tanning bulbs to that in natural sunlight. Then, I'd like to know how the bulbs compare to oral vitamin D supplements.

Agreed.

Remember the whole Lance Storm 1:08 joke?

I do.

Haven't thought about it in years!
20  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Wrestling Board / Re: Regal vs Goldberg on: June 29, 2014, 07:39:40 AM
Stumbled across this.

Regal didn't want to be a 2 minute jobber to what he termed "Football reject Goldberg"

For some reason I cannot load the vid

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4IdelJfk2k

I thought the match was decent - at least for Goldberg. I see no reason a squash match has got to mirror all of the others. If anything, I think it's good to show someone they're building like Goldberg beating another talent at his own game ala this match. It adds a bit of realism and spares the value of more substantial talent like Regal. Why lower his real estate value in the game when you don't have to?

I saw nothing wrong with this match.
21  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Wrestling Board / Re: Goldberg & Rock on: June 29, 2014, 07:34:29 AM
I believe Rock would have have struggled some coming in earlier. The Rocky Maivia character floundered during the period that bridged the "New Generation" and "Attitude Era." The evolution of his character into the bad-ass Rock is what saved him, and that would not have been possible without the A.E. I honestly don't think he could have held out much longer than he did.
22  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Wrestling Board / Re: Regal vs Goldberg on: June 26, 2014, 05:13:27 PM
Speak up backstage, absolutely.  But when the bell rings...

Of course, it all depends on the booker, the promoter, and the wrestler involved.

I wonder if anyone today would defy a booker (writer). It seems all individual creativity and thinking are gone for good.
23  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Wrestling Board / Re: Regal vs Goldberg on: June 26, 2014, 05:05:35 PM
You job when you're told to job.

Or find another job.

True, but it is/was also a wrestler's right to speak up about these matters. If bookers got to the point where they thought you didn't care how you're used, who knows what kind of stupid shit they'd have you doing!
24  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Wrestling Board / Re: Any true badda$$es left on: June 24, 2014, 06:01:35 PM
Angle can probably handle himself. Although he might be done Regal can take one down quick.Dory Funk Jr., who still wrestles at his school, can handle himself. Tried Severn years ago but came up a little short.

Yeah, I can't believe I forgot about Angle!

I remember reading that Kurt & Brock had an impromptu amateur match backstage years ago in which Angle easily mopped the floor with him.

Guys like Wes, Groink, Simon, and Walter White don't enjoy their current shape from just "training" or "dieting." It is a LIFESTYLE for them. Training and dieting is ingrained in that lifestyle - it's not something they only do for 12 weeks at a time. That's the only way to carry that consistent size and conditioning into your 50's.

It was consistent going into their "advanced" age (excuse me, gentlemen), and it's consistent after. Guys who only train while on a cycle for summer will never have or understand this privilege.
