BREAKING: Defense Secretary Hagel Confirms Obama Considering Arming Syrian Rebels Anyone who has been following the Syrian civil war knows that the terrorists fighting Assad are made up entirely of Islamists with varying levels of extremism, with Jabhat Al-Nusra, aka Al Qaeda in Iraq, being the strongest of them. From fighting AQI to arming them. Brilliant, Obama. Brilliant. We should just sit back and watch. Hezbollah vs Al Qaeda with both sides taking heavy losses. It's glorious. Like he hasn't been already.

The FBI did investigate, and found nothing significant at the time....in addition, Obama was out of Plutonium for the Delorean so he was not able to travel 2 years into the future.
The number of people the FBI investigates yearly is in the hundreds of thousands...in addition, the bombs were made with common household items. Even with that being said, they were captured within 72 hours.
No country has the ability to stop everything bad from happening.
Or anything bad, evidently.

12 hours ago (11:32 PM) President Obama handled this week with grace, compssion, and a cool head. This is a man who is filled with emmense emotion that any father would express. A man who has learned to think before he speaks. A leader who is not afraid to ask questions. Emperor Marcus Aurelius wrote of the Virtues of Man...Wisdom. Temperance, Fortitude, and Justice. Despite his imperfectness, President Obama has exemplified those virtues as best I have seen in any President in recent years.

They are just words. Heaven forbid if little Jimmy gets out in the real world and hears a cuss word? He may have a meltdown, drop down on his knees, and start praying to Jesus to erase those words. There's such a thing as having some class and acting appropriately considering the audience. Or, do you foresee little Jimmy as gaining some sort of worldly insight by hearing f-bombs?

“This is a punch to the gut. This is NOT a good number. And I think now you’re going to interestingly start seeing a LOT of discussion about maybe the sequester’s a bigger deal than people thought it was.” — Austan Goolsbee, Former Chairman of President Barack Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers, in an interview on CNBC.
This guy's a complete idiot, or simply a shill, if he's equating the sequester with the economy's problems. The sequester is a joke, resulting in zero cuts, only reducing the growth of spending by a fraction.

Getbig Main Boards / Politics and Political Issues Board / Re: North Korea apparently has the ability to hit us with a nuke now...
|

NK has set off nukes. THis isn't debatable. We've seen them.
NK has fired rockets at the USA - they failed before reaching us, but technology typicallly improves over time. If they keep firing, eventually, one may reach us. Or they choose another delivery system. Tie a nuke to a donkey and send it over the order. Put that shit on a rowboat. whatever.
NK has made recent statements about going to war with us, destorying us, fccking our mothers, etc.
Now, I know Bush/cheney were full of shite about iraq having WMD... however, NK has them. They have illegal nukes that they have set off as proof. WAY different case. I dont remember iraq firing rockets at hawaii lol...
It's easy for the ignorant to flippantly spew out war rhetoric. Last I checked, there's only one country that has used nuclear bombs on another nation. You referenced the invasion based on the now famous phantom WMD in Iraq. How about Libya? Did they attack or threaten to attack America? What if based on such aggressions on the part of the U.S, other countries around the world felt as though they needed to attack first, as a pre-emptive strike to protect themselves? Would that be ok? By your logic it should be, so what's the problem? Yet, North Korea is the scary monster to be afraid of? The death and suffering by innocent civilians left in the wake of such invasions, which is common of all military conflicts, is of little consequence I guess, so long as they're foreigners. It's standard practice to dehumanize them and not view them as people as we are. Economic warfare has been deployed against North Korea via sanctions. No different than the sanctions being placed on Iran, in conjunction with the constant fear mongering and rhetoric about them allegedly developing nukes. Pakistan, India, Britain, France, Israel and many others have nukes. Where is the indignation when they have them? This is a critical period in human history, with history on the verge of repeating itself. We are in the midst of global currency wars. Sound familiar? People need to stop watching Jersey Shore and wake up to what is really taking place in the world, and not buy in to the propaganda that is put forth by mainstream media for the sheep to lap up. Do you not consider or understand the events taking place, or the alliances being formed in the background, with the potential for a conflict to escalate into a full blown world war? An itchy trigger finger is not prudent at this juncture.

Today, april 2013, they might not.
Give it a month, two months, a year... they might. Or they might give up the idea of a rocket and deliver a nuke to west coast in a suitcase.
Any country that TRIES to fire rockets at hawaii... that SUCCESSFULLY sets of nukes... that APPROVES NUKING US...
There's nothing to talk about. if they don't attack today, they will eventually. We bombed iraq because they were building WMD... Well, NK HAS them... has fired rockets, has declared war on us. I dunno what else there is to discuss.

By your logic it should be, so what's the problem? Luckily for you, mainstream, so called media, tend not to publicize the death and suffering by innocent civilians left in the wake of such invasions, which is common of all military conflicts. Perhaps that would be of little consequence anyway, as it is standard practice to dehumanize them and not view them as people as we are. there's a good chance the same armchair cowboys screaming about revolution will be a lot more likely to be the ones on the street, than those who aren't buying 10,000 bullets and telling everyone they know about it.
And there will never be a 'collapse'... it'll be a gradual decline in standard of living... lobster boiling alive and enjoying the bubble bath...
I don't foresee it being too gradual. There are and will be signs of what is to come, but when things start to fail, they will do so swiftly.

of course not... but if you tell a policeman "i'm gona go home and get a rifle and then I'm gonna show you who's boss!", you can't act surprised when this cop pulls out his own rifle and calls 10 police buddies to back him up.
When enough idiots scream "we need revolution, we need to riot, let's take it to the streets", then govt officials are justified to spend the $ we don't have on fun toys like this.
It has more to do with prepping for the massive civil unrest that will result when the economy implodes, rather than being a response to a few people spouting off about starting some sort of revolution.

again..worse recession since the great depression......combined with Bush tax cuts and Bush prescription drug coverage, plus two wars again both started by Bush....and I don't say that to bash Bush at all....I was a very big supporter of him.......but it is what it is.....
but again no one here will admit that and you'll continue to bash me because you'd rather do that than give credit where credit is due which is fine
I'm at a loss to account for anything that Obama has done that is deserving of credit.
