3  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: One of Ronnie Coleman's biggest fans on Getbig says Dorian Yates is better on: April 21, 2014, 08:36:21 PM
dorian had better calves

their backs are both insane

but ronnie destroys dorian on arms and chest let's be real here

Ronnie had better biceps, but Yates could be argued to have had better forearms and triceps.
4  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: The most dominant Mr. Olympia of all time - hands down!! on: April 20, 2014, 03:02:59 PM
no, as you can clearly see here, Ronnie owned Gunter in every single pose.

even the fucking ab and thigh lol

Gunter winning was a great way to sell tickets and generate interest in that year's olympia and it worked like a charm.

however, as anyone can clearly see, Gunter was not better than ronnie that night. no tris no taper worse back arms etc.

he had some quad cuts and thats it. and a marketable face. nothing more.

anyone remember Gunter's mug plastered all over the mag sales that year? with ronnie in a tiny thumb print in the corner? I do.

Still butt hurt over a result from 2002.  Ha ha.  Gunter took home the belt and was the clear champ, nothing changes that.

You talking crazy talk. Wheeler--the 93 Arnold, 93 O, 97 Arnold, 98 Arnold, and even the 98 O Wheeler would have beaten a prime  Haney.
Haney had great parts---chest, torso...but when you look at him, he had some glaring weaknesses...he didn't have the flow. Flex was tad weak in the chest. But, his flow was on point.

I do think that out of all of the Mr. Os aside from Sergio, if brought up to Ronnie's era, he would give Ronnie some good competition.
I actually think that if Sergio was brought to this or Ronnie's era, he would dominate.

I will say this, you put Haney in today's competition with legs, and a slightly bigger arms. He would win agains these guys.

Wheeler from '93 was 220 soaking wet (if that) and would get beat  by '91 Haney.  Flex couldn't win the Olympia, even if he were the only person in it.
10  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: The most dominant Mr. Olympia of all time - hands down!! on: April 18, 2014, 10:36:50 AM
He didn't have much competition. He didn't have a Levrone, Flex Wheeler, Chris Cormier, Nasser, Gunter, Ruhl, or even Shawn Ray at the tail end of his career.

All of those guys would easily have crushed Haney's competition, and I believe Cormier, Levrone, Flex would have beaten Haney.

The fact still remains that Haney was extremely dominant over his competition, regardless of how his competition is viewed against that of others.  And I doubt either Levrone or Wheeler could have beaten a prime Haney.  Haney was much better than most people give him credit as being.  If the 1993 Arnold version of Flex Wheeler was arguably his best, I would suggest that a prime Haney would destroy him.

13  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Ultimate Warrior eye rolling thread on: April 14, 2014, 06:32:30 PM

He owned a number of business and a training center.  But he wrestled at a time when there was little money available for wrestlers.....sort of like the bodybuilding industry

Warrior was a top earner in the late 80's and early 90's.  There were those that didn't earn a lot, but he was not one of them.

Gayer than wearing a sports jersey with another man's name on it.

Hes had great matches with flair...cactus jack...and vader.

I just mean that overall he's no Bret Hart in the ring and he's not Ric Flair on the mic.  A solid performer with a great gimmick though.
16  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Dillett 1996 Arnold Classic on: April 13, 2014, 02:16:15 PM
From a career perspective, Dillett's back was rubbish.  It was very much lacking in both width and detail when compared to that of virtually any other top pro.  Frankly, for all of the abuse Nasser took for his back, I would suggest that on most occassions, Nasser had a back superior to Dillett's.
17  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Dillett 1996 Arnold Classic on: April 13, 2014, 08:44:26 AM
In overall refinement yes, and Cutler would win the show with better posing also... But Dillett would dwarf him and with his unmatched structure and muscle bellies would make Cutler appear like a short fridge with mediocre limbs... Still Cutler would win, i agree, but shitting on Paul, no way... Agree to disagree...

Dillett looked unbeatable just standing there, but as soon as he posed, he exposed his imbalances.  His delts overpowered his chest, not to mention the complete lack of a back.  Dillett had so much potential, it is mind boggling.  Too bad he was perhaps the laziest man on earth.
18  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Dillett 1996 Arnold Classic on: April 13, 2014, 07:58:45 AM
That physique would likely have won the O in the last few years. It would have crushed Dexter in 08 and probably beaten Jay at his best. Putting the lack of posing skills to the side for a minute, the quads, hams, and calves combined are better than any other pro competing today. It's just the back development that lets him down, and seeing as so many of the mandatories involve it, it's understandable why he didn't score as highly as he could have done.

Dillett was a beast, but no way does he beat Jay at his best.  2009 Cutler shits all over Dillett.
