without food? were you not eating anything? why would a person not eat anything for 2 weeks?

I know for a fact that natural bodybuilders don't lose 12 pounds of muscle in 12 days, then again that's naturals.

With all due respect to Serge, we don't know how true his story is. There is another story that places Serge as a legitimate last-minute entrant, as the original third place man was injured shortly before the Olympia and they had to pick someone to fill the third spot.

Serge's story does seem to be true, with Joe Weider's apparent tactics and the fact that Serge, having competed in the '72 and '73 Olympia's, would likely be the first choice for a third man out of anyone else besides Zane, but we don't know for sure.

I still don't get how a person can lose 12 pounds of muscle in 12 days.

This is what made Joe Weider scared to let Serge Nubret enter the 1980 Mr. Olympia. Serge simply would have been the clear winner. So, 12 days before the Olympia Joe saw this and was scared shitless. He told Serge he couldn't enter because he was in movies partially nude.  So, Serge quit preparing because he wouldn't be able to compete... THEN, when it was time for the show, Joe informed Serge that he could, in fact, compete (!). Serge, being a man of character, still competed despite not preparing for the last 12 days.

INCREDIBLE SERGE, YOU WOULD HAVE WON AND THIS IS THE BEST, MOST AESTHETIC PHYSIQUE ACHIEVED IN THE HISTORY OF BODYBUILDING!

i think it is cool of serge to come here and spend some time with us,hes one of the pioneers who trained with the pumping iron crew,i think its great hearing some of his wisdom shared and cool stories from the pumping iron days.please lets not get serge to the point where he doesnt want to chat with us anymore,im sure most of you agree with me and if not i respect your opinions also.i look forward to reading what serge has to say and askin him some questions,hes a very cool contributer to these boards imo

that pic of arnold standing next to serge looks photoshopped imo,arnold looks like he never trained his pecs in those pics.we all know even arnold back then had a huge ass chest,im not taking anything away from serge as he has a  awesome body and also is a great person to boot.im sorry if im wrong but it just doesnt look like arnolds chest
