Congratulations Steve! It's great to see that supplement companies are paying up to the guys who actually work to bring them money. Hopefully, their products are worth it for the guys who actually use them.

True, it is a "hustle". I had one personal trainer who I hired for one-on-one training but when it came time for the session, he introduced two other people he was training - didn't ask if it was okay - was just very matter-of-fact about it. That was the last time I hired him.

Every one's got an opinion. Even 12 year olds.

Of all the sports out there (and, yes, I count Bodybuilding as a sport), bodybuilding is the most subjective ...and fickle. Even when you come in better than anyone else, it still depends on what judges considers "better" be it symmetry, shear size, or just better looking (asthetic). It is a tough sport to be sure. Personally, I think anyone that competes and takes home a trophy is a winner...and more to the point, those that compete and don't take home trophies are not losers, at least not in my book. Good luck Steve in passing on your knowledge of the sport to others. Best wishes in that regard!

Hmmm. He looks like he had credentials to me. I've seen personal trainers who don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. Steve is walking proof that he knows what he is talking about. His training has brought him results. Let's see, results vs a certificate. Hmmm.

My heaviest, at 5'5" was 190, then I went to the bathroom.

Recently competed at 157.4 pounds and now back to 165 so I'm feeling pretty good.

I agree. He couldn't do any worse than Perry. I doubt that Ronnie would send innocent people to their deaths. Crazy.

It amazes me the number of people who celebrate the defeat of another - especially since they themselves will never ever come close to his physique. But I guess that's part of human nature. If you can't defeat them, talk bad about them.

By getting sponsorship deals from supplement companies....and that's about it really. The pittance of prize money is nothing. And the smart bodybuilders do everything they can to spin off stuff to make money like start their own supplement companies, clothing lines, videos, etc. But the big money makers are the supplement companies who give very little back to the men who actually compete.
