Do you realize that Ferrari pays GM for a version of their magnetic ride technology that is not even as current as the one they use in the C7 Corvette?   Roll Eyes

Most higher end Euro brands are going after a different sports car market than Corvette or Viper, and for that reason there's no regular American production car that costs well into the hundreds of thousands like there are with the Euro brand.

But if you want to compare, pick Euro cars that are in the same price range as a Corvette - or even say within double of the Corvette's price range lol, and then compare.

Practically all the top lap times here are with the lower priced American counterparts.  http://fastestlaps.com/tracks/laguna_seca.html

Starting to see them out and about in my area now that the snow has melted.

First two pics are a comparo with another C7 that's black, then I just took another two with a yellow C6 convertible...shows the differences nicely.

I understand.

So many Christians take someone else's belief (or lack thereof) personally.

Your choice in your spirituality has nothing to do with me, nor is it in my control.

We are all humans and we all have the ability to choose.

I would not treat you any different than anyone else. My son in law is an Atheist. Am I happy about it? No. Do I try to change him? No.

It is not my job or my place to judge.

We all have questions. There is so much that we just don't know. Can I prove that I am right in my beliefs? No.

All we can do is hope and try to be cool to one another. It's actually easier to be nice. It's less stressful. But what do we usually choose to do? We hate. We judge. We talk shit. I guess it's part of being a human in a fallen world that is full of evil and full of hatred.

I don't know. I don't have the answers.

Spot on, despite that our concepts of God are different (I'm Muslim) I strongly believe we can't judge each other and should not have animosity towards anyone for having different beliefs.

I think many athiests don't believe in God because of the concept that's taught (in Christianity for example, and no offence intended) that God is apparently a being, like a big guy in the sky, with feelings, emotions and other such limitations that humans have.  That does sound hard to believe for most people - that there's any "being" which they cannot physically see.

So I try to tell them that God is not a "being" (which Islam teaches as well), that is physical or can be seen.  I think of it in terms of God being a "force" rather than a "being." I don't think many would deny that there is some force which created or allowed the various laws of science and the countless conditions on this planet that allow life.  Like an "invisible hand" that governs us and is responsible for us being here.

I've heard from a very credible source that any of the following three are ideal:

Feel very bad for him, he always came across as very likable in his videos.

Why do you feel bad for him?  He seems happy.  He's smiling.  No one is forcing him to take photos flexing, etc.  He's doing what he enjoys - how many others can say that.

Oh and he also was the best in the world for years at doing what he loved.

I work at the GM plant that is going to build the Colarado/Canyon, it should be out in the fall. We ran three pilot jobs last night, have probably built around 50 so far.

Any info on pricing?

I'm officially an owner of a 2014 wrangler sport. Bad gas mileage but the insurance was cheaper. Owell I'm single and can do whatever I want. I'll worry about mpg's in the future.

Congrats!  It's always a great feeling not to compromise on the car you want, otherwise people tend to regret their decision every time they see the vehicle that they really wanted but turned away from instead

gotta admit Walt's black SRT totally made me appreciate that car, if only they offered it in AWD I'd consider it as my next winter ride.

It would simply BLOW YOUR MIND at not only the different translations, but also the many omissions, inclusions, and obsfucations exist within the bible. It has changed much since the Hebrews originally recorded their story.

Exactly the reason why God sent His message once again afterwards, this time in the form of the Qur'an, which, in contrast has not had any debate over omissions or inclusions or differences in interpretation over its fundamental teachings, as the original message was memorized, documented and maintained in its exact form over the years.

Just came across the equinox. fwd 4cyl gets 32 mpg. Decent sized suv.

I could be wrong but I thought that pic looks more like the Chevy Traxx.

yeah Equinox would be a decent choice - not as masculine still but I wouldn't feel in an Equinox like I was driving a feminine vehicle either
15  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Ford Releases Teaser of 2015 Mustang GT350? on: March 23, 2014, 06:08:52 PM
I could care less about an "insulting tone" and more about what the figurehead of a faith is all about and how they lived their life. You really should not go there for as demonstrated in that thread, I pointed it out about several such men.  Respect is not given just "because", but rather when it is deserved.  I do not think any of the abysmally immoral men I pointed out deserves  respect.  Jesus of Nazareth? Yes.  Those other common, base men? No freaking way.  Just because you founded a faith, a religion if you will does not make you worthy of respect.  What you did in life, especially towards your fellow man (and woman) is what counts.  Religious dogma is nothing.  Enough.

Now then...

You are probably correct about the monetary aspect, sir , and I find no animosity in your words but rather your honest opinion.  I am far from wealthy and I doubt I could afford the fuel to run a V8 anything.  They are great machines, worthy of admiration and pure unadulterated car lust and envy!   Speaking of envy.

I see you are a fan of Corvettes?  I am unfortunately somewhat handicapped (or as the pussy liberals might have us say, "handicapable"?  Grin) and can not get out of a 'Vette on my own and if envy is truly a sin, then I am sinning when I envy you your choice in fine Amurican Muscle Cars.

Ah well in that case I'll be sinning too over the next few years until I can one day afford the C7 Z06 God-willing :-)

17  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Ford Releases Teaser of 2015 Mustang GT350? on: March 23, 2014, 05:38:32 PM
That's a valid opinion and I can understand why.  The V6 from '11 on has nearly (305 vs 315) the horsepower of the previous generation's V8.  Like I said, I am happy with my choice but I can see why yours is different than mine.

Camaros and Mustangs in the 80's were V8 with only 225 hp, whereas nowdays many 4 cylinders put out more than that.  Not really sure what the 305 vs 315 argument is about?
18  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Ford Releases Teaser of 2015 Mustang GT350? on: March 23, 2014, 05:37:06 PM
It's not hasty when I speak what I hold true and I am certain you think the same when you do.  Grin  Who is correct?  I will not rightly know until I am dead and stand before whoever created me.

Yes I speak what I hold true as well - but I never use an insulting tone or name-calling towards any figure that's revered by any religious group - instead I try to show some respect and tact when discussing a topic that's sensitive to many.  That's honestly one of the things I've found different about many devout Christians versus those of other faiths - they don't seem to think there's anything un-Christian about using an insulting tone towards whoever does not believe what they do, calling names or profane words to others' prophets, or telling them "you're going to hell!" etc.  Just doesn't give a great image overall of the faith when you guys do that.  There are some exceptions like GB'er Man of Steel.

As to my choice in motors, well  my family cannot drive a MANuel transmission and the only V8s available the day I bought were all stick shift.  I am  happy with my choice as I prefer the mpg I get out of my car vs what I have seen from friends with V8 Mustangs, Challengers and Camaros.

That and its a known fact that V8s are for real men and I am in fact a skinny little wimp of a pussbag.   Grin

Not only that but its a well known fact that anyone who prefers a V6 version of a sports car due to its better mpg than a V8 must have difficulty affording the car in the first place lol.

J/K - and jokes aside who knows how much longer V8's will even last with the pressures of improving mpg.

19  Getbig Main Boards / General Topics / Re: Parker/car guys on: March 23, 2014, 05:26:57 PM
Ya I was just looking at a gas calculator and its about a $1000 savings a year from a 20mpg car to a 30mpg car if you drive 15,000 a year.

I only drive about 100 miles a week for my normal commuting. But I fish in tournaments around the country and do a lot of trips. Sucks right now just to go to the mountains costs me $100.

I know its only $100 a month maybe, but I hate spending money on consumables like gas.

But is the sexiest thing on wheels I can buy

True, $100/month isn't a small amount either.

Not sure I totally agree on the "But is the sexiest thing on wheels I can buy" though, since I drive an H3  Grin  I do like the Wrangler though, good chance I will get one when its time to replace my H3 since it's currently the closest vehicle to it that's still produced nowdays.

I am the happy owner of an '11 V6.

Regarding your hasty tone towards me in the other thread on religion, would you also say choosing a V6 (when V8 versions are available) is the superior, Christian way?   Grin
21  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Ford Releases Teaser of 2015 Mustang GT350? on: March 23, 2014, 05:06:48 PM
Yes and true

But I prefer NA cars! Feels better and that badass 7 liter!  Shocked

True, but that 7 liter GM engine had its fair share of reliability issues!  GB'er (and fellow Muslim Smiley Cool) ksa_triceps had to rebuild his a few times in his z06.

I wonder if they decided to use it in the z28 just to make use of spare leftover 427s from the end of the c6z06
22  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Ford Releases Teaser of 2015 Mustang GT350? on: March 23, 2014, 04:58:52 PM
Isn't the camaro z28 supposed to be around 70/75k?? No thanks!

Mostly just because its a limited production model.

The ZL1 is a much better value, faster straight line than the Z28, much cheaper than it too, and probably still very close in track times
23  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Ford Releases Teaser of 2015 Mustang GT350? on: March 23, 2014, 04:55:56 PM
Probably will, and will be a better handler thanks to the IRS.
That is is the deal breaker. Don't know about the weight as well.

Hopefully its offered with an auto option this time!
24  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Ford Releases Teaser of 2015 Mustang GT350? on: March 23, 2014, 04:29:14 PM
I wonder if this will be any faster than the outgoing GT500....

Ford kinda went all out in trying to outpower the Camaro ZL1 by nearly a hundred HP...giving it less room to now improve the new hi-po version.
25  Getbig Main Boards / General Topics / Re: Parker/car guys on: March 23, 2014, 04:23:19 PM
That's what I'm afraid of. Look like the colorado isnt coming out till next year. Hopefully someone will tell me the crosstrek is manly Undecided

haha, realistically though with a Crosstrek you will probably only save $100 a month versus something like a Tacoma - and that's assuming you drive a lot of miles which I'm guessing from you saying that you currently spend $500-$600 a month.
