What a fucking joke. This are the same folk that cry "racism" when people of other races can't relate to their mildly retarded antics, and choose to avoid them.

So, after fish oil gives me prostate cancer, it will help me treat it?

I wonder what kind of research funding I could get.

I use to work in the food industry and there is a LOT of adulteration and fraud going on.  The FDA is a joke.

50% of the food that is labeled as organic, is NOT truly organic.

Kosher foods are another huge scam.

What part of the food industry?  My dad was in the meat business for years.  Some of the stories...  Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed    Roll Eyes    Couldn't watch all of Food, Inc.  Sad & disgusting.  Trying to deal mostly with local farmers these days.

I finally broke down and got a big freezer.  So far all that's in it are flanks, tenderloins, blueberries and strawberries.   Lining up my hunting buds for venison this fall  Grin

I have been spending between $30-$50 (depending on how much beef I buy) every 10 days or so for years now. And that is usually 2x8oz cooked weight chicken meals a day and an 8oz beef meal per day.

It is just now starting to hit me that maybe I'm missing out on some secret little tricks.

After trying the Wal-Mart frozen 3lb bag breasts I can't help but feel like they are still somehow fucking with me, even at like 1.60 a lb...whether it's "broth" or whatever fucking tricks they are pulling, something just doesn't seem right about them...And it got me thinking.

Housewives and soccer mom types seem to have all these little coupon tricks and shit because they have time to sit at home all day while their husbands work and study these secrets, they learn how to do this shit over the generations.

I do not have access to any of these types of women so I turn to the older and much wiser members of Getbig to enlighten me on the secrets of finding the best possible deals on chicken breast and ground beef / steak.

ALDI  Cash or debit  - no credit cards.  Bring your own bags.  Not much (yet) in the way of organics but their basic fresh meat is decent.  Wednesdays start their sales week and meat special buys.  A couple weeks ago they had flanks and tenderloins for $5.99/lb.  Fresh chicken breasts are usually $2.40/lb ~ sometimes $1.99/lb.  Don't know what the frozen bags go for, but they do have a large frozen section.  Whole fresh chickens - .95/lb

Here's a secret - the cheapest chicken is fed shit it's not supposed to eat (corn and waste animal parts; other chicken and beef typically) and injected with hormones and antibiotics. You buy this, and you're guaranteed to eat shit.

Pay few bucks more and find grain fed chicken that runs free.

You're welcome.

More than a "few bucks more".  I just bought a fresh whole local free range chicken which was $5/lb so ~ $25~ bucks.  Nothing will go to waste though.  After roasting, any leftovers will go into salad and then the carcass for stock and dog treats.

Fresh USDA Choice T-Bone Steak
per lb.$7.99

Fresh 85% Lean Organic Grass-Fed Ground Beef

I've been surprised to great customer service from AT&T UVerse and also DirecTV.  LG sux.  American Airlines is bad whether it's phone, web or in person.  Even their own employees hate them.  Clark Howard always refers to BoA as customer no service.

I absolutely despise off-shore customer service and will always insist on a US number or hang up and call the company direct.

If the trainer doesn't cough up pics to back up his about 250lbs, about 8% bf claim. Please stick that little fucker in TO for a couple of weeks.

He's trolled the crap out of us for two months straight, condescending on training and diet and AAS protocols and now he's backing down and already lining up excuses for August 6th.

IMO trolls should be shown the naughty corner now and then so the G&O re-establishes some credibility with real members and keep post quality up.

Since when is bullshitting, trolling and not posting a picture grounds for TO? Roll Eyes  pfffftt

Muratic acid they have it at lowes it used for cleaning masonry messes

I'll probably try that as a last resort

lmfao! Grin
I had good luck with concrete cleaner and a wire brush, you're going to have to get on your knees and hands though.  Grin

I can put 'cha to work in exchange for rent.  Wink

I can't think of anything, but maybe you should consider staining it all a color? Some of these look pretty nice.

I'm  kinda diggin' that idea, however, wondering if it would penetrate the spots since everything so far is being repelled.  Do you think something like that would survive ugly winters?

That and Chaos' suggestion are both good.

You could also try oven cleaner spray

But jokes aside, Easy-Off will pretty much clean anything.

Simple Green or a good laundry detergent on the light end.  Apply, scrub, let sit, crub then power wash. Carb or oven cleaner is harsher, but it will usually do a half way decent job.

Thanks.  I'll try those next.

Dawn Liquid Soap - Dump a bunch of bottles on the spots, let is soak, scrub the spots a little to make sure the stain came out.  If it's out, just powerwash the mess away.

I use it for when we have fuel spills on concrete.  Works well.

Just pour it on straight?  The blue Dawn was what I tried first, but semi diluted and scrubbed in, then power washed.  It maybe helped ever so slightly.   Damn.  Simple Simon will be able to eat off the driveway by the time I'm through.    Grin

I have 3 elderly friends/neighbors I've adopted like that.  They all still live in their homes and maintain their large properties.  One is 90, one is 93 and one is 99.  The 93 & 99 year old still drive!  Shocked with no issues.  I love hearing all the stories and drinking wine with my WWII war bud.

So far I've tried foot grinding in kitty litter, scrubbing with Dawn, Oil Dri, all followed up with a power washer.  So far nothing it touching it.  Trying to be as least caustic as possible.

Sync Pulse, Roger, Johnny or ....
Due to one of my dogs getting into something unknown and the subsequent barf cleanup, I have dozens of grease type stains all over the driveway.  Could've been some type of cooking oil, bacon grease, suet... So far I've tried foot grinding in kitty litter, scrubbing with Dawn, Oil Dri, all followed up with a power washer.  So far nothing it touching it.  Trying to be as least caustic as possible.  It's a HUGE area of spots (?~300-400 sq ft). Next step might be this stuff from Quikcrete

and as a last step, maybe muriatic acid.  Any suggestions?

Yes - will move to General
16  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Nutrition, Products & Supplements / Fish Oil Boosts Brain Power on: July 17, 2014, 07:18:35 AM
Fish oil is touted as a magical potion that boosts fertility, heart health, and weight loss and promotes a clear complexion, while lessening the effects of depression, ulcers, diabetes and many more conditions. But there’s another benefit to these glossy little capsules: They may prevent Alzheimer’s disease.

A new study of 819 people published in the journal Alzheimer’s & Dementia found that taking fish oil supplements on a daily basis is associated with a significant decrease in cognitive decline (as measured by the Alzheimer’s Disease Assessment Scale and the Mini Mental State Exam) and brain atrophy — important findings in light of statistics that show that one person per minute is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

“We found that fish oil use was associated with better performance on standard tests of memory and thinking abilities over time, compared to those who didn’t take supplements,” lead study author Lori Daiello, a research scientist at the Alzheimer’s Disease and Memory Disorders Center at Rhode Island Hospital, tells Yahoo Health. “They also experienced less brain shrinkage in areas of the brain important for healthy cognitive aging — the cerebral cortex and hippocampus, the portion of the brain responsible for forming and retaining memories.”

For this study, researchers analyzed information from neuropsychological tests and MRI brain imaging performed at regular intervals for up to four years during the Alzheimer’s disease Neuroimaging Initiative, a longitudinal study of brain aging and Alzheimer’s Disease. The population consisted of a group of older adults with varying degrees of cognitive capability: normal cognitive function, mild cognitive impairment, and Alzheimer’s disease. The benefit of fish oil appeared strongest in the group with normal cognitive functioning. “Retrospective studies cannot establish cause and effect, so we can’t make a global recommendation that everyone should start taking fish oil supplements. But the findings highlight the need for additional research on the effects of longterm fish oil use on brain health in later life,” says Daiello.

The main ingredient in fish oil is DHA, omega-3 fatty acids found in cold-water fatty fish such as salmon, swordfish, trout, yellowfin tuna, mackerel, and more. (Non fish-lovers can find it in eggs, milk, and algae-derived supplements). According to Daiello, there is no definitive evidence that eating fish daily is better than taking fish-oil supplements. But some people dislike the fishy breath that lingers after taking the supplements. “In that case, you could always store the capsules in the freezer, which seems to diminish the scent,” suggests Daiello. (Though the study did not address the dosage of daily fish oil to take, the World Health Organization recommends a daily EPA and DHA intake of 0.3 to 0.5 grams and a daily ALA intake of 0.8 to 1.1 grams.)

And while the effects of fish oil have been well-documented, they also carry a “buyer beware” element. One study, conducted by a testing company called LabDoor, found that what’s advertised on the label of many supplements may not live up to their promise of what’s advertised on the labels. When the company analyzed 30 top-selling brands, they found that six products exaggerated the amount of omega-3 on their labels by 30 percent. And at least a dozen products contained DHA levels that were 14 percent less than advertised. “Mislabeling is a big problem because the FDA considers fish oil supplements food, not drugs, so they aren’t regulated,” says Daiello. “So it’s tough to verify the purity of what you buy.”

To select the best supplement, talk to your doctor, who may be able to recommend a pill that’s right for your needs. Or join a subscription-based website such as Consumer Lab, which regularly tests vitamins and supplements.

24  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Man Charged with Sexual Assault of 14-Year-Old at Planet Fitness on: July 15, 2014, 05:04:46 PM

Another rule to be added to the list.

Man Charged with Sexual Assault of 14-Year-Old at Planet Fitness

A 35-year-old man was charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl at a Planet Fitness in Lancaster Township, PA, reported.

Rainel Estrada Larios also is accused of texting the girl pornographic photographs, according to the newspaper. The girl told police the alleged incidents occurred in March and April in the hallway of the Planet Fitness. From

The girl confided to a friend that she had told Larios she was 14 years old and he responded that he was from Cuba and that in his country, age did not matter, the complaint states.

Police had responded to a disturbance at Planet Fitness on April 30. The girl's father confronted Larios at the gym before Larios drove away, according to the report. Planet Fitness staff helped identify Larios, who is in Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $400,000 bail, the newspaper reported.

Larios is charged with corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, three counts of indecent assault and attempted indecent assault, according to multiple media reports. Fox 43 in York, PA, is reporting the arrest was made July 1, and the preliminary hearing is Thursday.
