wait until your wound heals completely before you do anything too strenuous. Mine took 8 weeks to fully heal up and it was 12 weeks before I felt anything like normal. Mine had perforated as well and I did get a wound infection too. Try and start with a bit of core strenthening work because they cut through your abdominals. If it hurts, don't do it!

Wikipedia.org says:
"Before Black Flag broke up in early 1986, Rollins had already toured as a solo spoken word artist.[18] He released two solo records in 1987, Hot Animal Machine, a collaboration with guitarist Chris Haskett, and Drive by Shooting, recorded as "Henrietta Collins and the Wifebeating Childhaters";[19] Rollins also released his second spoken word album, Big Ugly Mouth in the same year. Along with Haskett, Rollins soon added Andrew Weiss and Sim Cain, both former members of Ginn's side-project Gone, and called the new group the Rollins Band. The band toured relentlessly,[20] and their 1987 debut album, Life Time, was quickly followed by the outtakes and live collection Do It. The band continued to tour throughout 1988; 1989 marked the release of another Rollins Band album, Hard Volume.[21] Another live album, Turned On, and another spoken word release, Live at McCabe's, followed in 1990."
Sounds like solo stuff and starting the Rollins band...

I preferred the late 80s as that is when I got into BB properly - Gaspari, Haney, Labrada, Strydom, Fox. Early 90s were cool too until the guts took over - Yates, Munzer, Benaziza etc. The drug tested Olympia was a laugh too....

Good sign that you could walk - means it is probably not broken. Worth seeing a good physio though as you will need a good bit of rehab by the sounds to get back into things. It might be worth going to the doc as well just to exclude an avulsion fracture as you heard a loud pop. Rehab it well and don't do silly stuff as ankles can be ongoing - I did mine nearly 3 years ago and still have trouble with it - tore one ligament and sprained the other 3 and eventually had some surgery to clean out some bone chips from it. Rice is a good place to start though

I used to see it on the Ortho wards at the hospital where I work at times. It can occur after tib/fib fractures or radius/ulna fractures if there is lots of bleeding. They are careful to do regular neuro obs and minimise movement until someone is operated on. It seems to result from too much fluid in an enclosed space, like the compartments of the lower leg, that causes swelling, pain and nerve compression. The docs here treat it with anti-inflammatories, elevation and bedrest. Sometimes people with have a fasciotomy to release the pressure if it is really bad (i.e. deteriorating neurological function).
