You always forget about Branch.
2  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Cutler fires Hany and is back with Aceto on: July 23, 2013, 10:04:21 PM

Hany was the guru trainer of both Heath and Cutler, but now, Cutler has made the move with 10 weeks left for the 2013 Mr. O, and jumped back on board with Aceto.   Will this move bring Cutler back to the limelight and show he is serious about his comback?

3  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Aaron Singerman is leaving Rxmuscle? on: June 26, 2013, 03:49:22 PM

No one said anything about Aaron cheating on his wife, that did not happen.  Plain and simple, he did not do the job at RX in what was intended for him to do. Without a press pass, he could not interview, go backstage, and do the job required for an editor-in-chief that he was paid for.  He was let go.  While Aaron did bring a lot of sponsors to the site, the site will be fine and the sponsors will continue to stay and support RX.  There will be a radio show which Dave will explain what went on, and hopefully this will be the end of this issue

4  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Cedric McMillan should of won the Arnold Brazil. Tainted win for Brandon. on: April 28, 2013, 10:09:43 AM

What bull.  If Cedric would of competed after the promoted told him he could, he would of been marked and tainted down.  Unfortunate.

Story of the contest is isn't that Brandon won, it is that they didn't want Cedric to beat Brandon.

5  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: 2013 Arnold Classic Brazil - Cedric McMillan disqualified or not??? on: April 26, 2013, 10:02:35 PM

If this was Phil Heath, or Kai Greene, or Jay Cutler, this wouldn't be happening.  But lowly Cedric, who just won the FIBO POWER. he isn't good enough to get a pass.  So he was 30 minutes late, his cell phone wasn't working in Rio, and know, he has to apologize to compete?

He already apologized quite a few times for being late and being off whack in his timing.  This isn't a bodybuilder who disrespects others.

Stop making this an issue and let the #1 bodybuilder right now compete.

6  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Arnold Brazil - Cedric McMillan out or in???? on: April 26, 2013, 09:15:32 PM
This is bull.   What do they have against Cedric?    So he missed the meeting?  Was there a reason for it?  Was he not feeling well?  Did he lose his way around Rio?  Was his flight delayed, or did he oversleep?  Was he disrespecting the judges or the IFBB?

So you disqualify an athlete after he travels thousands of miles because he missed a meeting.

So the first annual Arnold Classic Brazil competition will be remembered as the one that Cedric was disqualified at instead of working something out.  Is that what you want people to remember this as?

Now, what happens when an athlete misses a meeting back in the US?  Disqualify him or her?

This is a very dangerous game to play.

9  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Dave Palumbo: Goerge Farah is a liar about Kai Greene on: October 14, 2012, 09:44:08 PM

Who's really the brain behind getting Kai Greene in his best Mr Olympia shape to date? It's a very strange and unusual question to ask since most people would assume, unequivocally, the answer to be, diet coach George Farah. And it's probably a good bet that Farah assumes the same. After all, he's been singing his own praises for helping "The Predator" ever since the final placings were announced Saturday September 29th at the Orleans Arena where Greene landed in the runners-up spot. But the true answer to this question is just as intriguing as some of Kai's most memorable posing routines.

Inside sources have revealed that Kai Greene's true Olympia diet advisor was not Farah; it was holistic nutrition expert and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Ron Noreman. That's right, Ron the Accountant that helps innumerable IFBB Pro bodybuilders stay out of trouble with the IRS. It's also a fairly well-known fact that Noreman, a lifelong bodybuilder with innumerable local and regional titles to his credit, has been acting as Kai's business manager for the last several years. Likewise, Noreman's incessant thirst for nutrition and supplement knowledge has made him somewhat of an expert with regard to physique manipulation.

So when Greene expressed his concern over that fact that he didn't think his extremely carb-sensitive body would be able to get into the kind of shape necessary to win the Mr Olympia following Farah's high carb/low cardio recommendations, Noreman offered up his assistance. Greene, eager to overcome the "Olympia jinx" he's been victim to his last 2 outings, decided that low carbs, higher fat, was the way to go. In fact, Kai's body thrived on this regimen; and, combined with several hours of moderate intensity cardio every day, enabled him to achieve his best Olympia conditioning to date.
10  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Sheru Classic in India - Troubles brewing two weeks out? on: September 22, 2012, 10:25:21 AM

Kris Gethin aka Kaged Muscle posted this on Twitter this morning.  Are there troubles with the Sheru Classic two weeks out?

"This post is to announce that I have resigned from my position at Sheru Classic due to professional differences. Marika Johansson-Gethin Fan Page, Neil Hill and I will not be representing them anymore, and we certainly will not be at their event next month on behalf of as originally planned. The reasons are too delicate and personal. Beyond professional differences, I prefer not to go public with what has happened to us. I am more than happy not being a part of Sheru Classic though i will miss my fans dearly. I wish Sheru Classic all the best!"
11  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Jay Cutler to compete in the 2013 Arnold Classic on: August 27, 2012, 09:42:31 PM

With Jay Cutler unable to beat Phil Heath and not even training for the 2012 Olympia, rumors are springing up that Jay Cutler is considering a run for the 2013 Arnold Classic.  What better way to cap off your career with a win at the 25th anniversary of the event.

Can Jay do it? Can he get back into the freaky refrigerator form that will mobilize him to the top?

He will.

12  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Paul Chua removed as SBBF life president - SBBF back with the IFBB on: July 01, 2012, 10:11:35 AM

From the Singapore Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation

For almost 30 years, he was its president. After he stepped down in 2007, he was made honorary life president. Last Saturday, Paul Chua's 35-year association with the Singapore Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (SBBF) came to an abrupt end. That was after the SBBF's executive committee (exco) passed a resolution to remove Chua as honorary life president and adviser.

SBBF general secretary Shawn Sugendran told The New Paper that the resolution was passed by five of seven exco members.  The SBBF has been under a cloud of controversy since its president, Rano Izhar, was exposed as an undischarged bankrupt by The Straits Times last month. At that time, Chua was quoted saying that Rano (right), who had not informed officials of his insolvency status before his election in June 2011, would be "kicked out" if he "didn't resign gracefully". After the report, Rano offered to resign from his post. However, his exco asked him to stay on until after the SBBF National Championships on July 1.

Later, TNP reported that the SBBF constitution had no article or section prohibiting bankrupts from holding office. Said Sugendran: "It was never true that Rano would be officially removed. "As I've said before, Paul is not an official spokesman for SBBF. So I don't know in what capacity he was speaking. "As for the honorary life presidency, it's an appointed position, not an elected one. "The exco members reserve the right to remove anyone from that position if the reasons are valid."

Rano said the decision to remove Chua was a collective one, and in line with the restructuring of the sport. Said Rano: "We have no agenda against Paul. Our focus is to rejuvenate the sport of bodybuilding and take it forward.  "We feel that Paul is a hindrance towards that aim. "This (decision) has nothing to do with power. We have to remind ourselves that, in the future, another team will have to take over the SBBF, and we have to trust and let them do that.

"As for my position as president, I will leave if the industry and its athletes want me to, but not because Paul Chua wants me to." To replace Chua, Sugendran said that the SBBF plans to invite former president, Dr Chiam Tut Fu, to act as an official adviser. "Dr Chiam is someone who is of high value to us," Sugendran said. "In a short time, he has contributed a lot, especially with enhancing our relationships with government authorities such as the Singapore Sports Council. "But, as of now, nothing is confirmed yet."

The SBBF plans to reaffliate itself with the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) on July 1. It has also started discussions regarding a potential merger with the Singapore Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (SFBF) - a competing organisation. Said Sugendran: "We're doing all this for the betterment and progression of the sport. "We are very pleased that the IFBB, which is the largest federation for the sport, has accepted us back. "The SBBF was once a part of it when we began, but we broke away sometime in 2009." The SBBF has also decided to keep Rano as its president for the next four months.
13  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Rich Gaspari - They Say Never Meet Your Heros in Real Life on: April 18, 2012, 10:29:52 PM

Another fabricated story -

There was only one female bodybuilder competing at that event, her name was Giovnna Mason.   There was only 13 Women's Physique competitors competing at that event, and only one Shannon, who placed 11th.   No one from Gaspari Nutrition was at the event except for Krissy Chin, who was a sponsored athlete, and placed second in her class, and her husband Troy, West Coast Sales Manager for Gaspari. They don't decide who is going to be sponsored.

So Rich was in Culver City two weeks after that event. Really? With who? Because Rich doesn't drive - he gets picked up from LAX.  Considering he was in New Jersey that weekend. As for the story on the Oliver Garden, there is no Olive Garden in Culver City.

As for an amateur physique competitors who isnt event in the top ten, it wouldn't even cross his mind.  Win an NPC contest, do well at Nationals, maybe.  Even then, it isn't Rich is gives out contract, it is the marketing and event manager, Joe.

Question is why do you hate on Rich so much to make up a story like this.

17  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / PBW Radio leaving Flex, moving radio show to MD on: February 02, 2012, 11:21:25 AM

Announcement by Steve Blechman

Over the past several years, MD has taken huge strides toward becoming a leader in bodybuilding multimedia.  Today, I'm excited to announce that we have reached an agreement with my friend and creator Dan Solomon that brings his popular show to MD!  I've been a fan of the show since 2005 when Dan launched the first ever radio show devoted exclusively to the world of professional bodybuilding.  As most of you already know, the show earned a solid reputation for being the "SportsCenter" or the "CNN" of the bodybuilding industry.  They work closely with the NPC and the IFBB Pro League to deliver all the latest inside scoop - STRAIGHT FROM THE SOURCE.  They've interviewed the biggest names in the business, from Arnold, Joe & Ben Weider, all the way to every single winner of the Mr. Olympia contest.  This year, the show expands with more global content, and the popular "PBW" letters will now stand for "Pro Bodybuilding Worldwide".

As we begin a new season here at MD, I'm extremely proud to welcome Dan, along with his team, Chad Nicholls (the original guru to the stars) and industry insider Lee Thompson.  We have big plans for the show and we are proud to join as a supporter of one of the industry's flagship programs. - Check back soon for program announcements and join me in welcoming the newest addition to the growing family of top rated bodybuilding multimedia!

19  Getbig Womens Area / Figure, Bikini and Fitness Discussions / IFBB Pro Mona Muresan is the online editor for Muscle & Fitness on: October 27, 2011, 10:42:39 PM
Seriously, Mona is now the online editor of Muscle & Fitness Hers - and running a steakhouse.... and competing in the IFBB as a competitor?

Mona Muresan, 35, a Romanian beauty and owner of a popular Financial District steakhouse, is also catching fire on the female-bodybuilding circuit, winning seven state and national competitions since 2008. The married Edgewater, NJ, resident is set to show off her phenomenal form in a crystal-laden, $900 string bikini during her first international competition, the Pittsburgh Pro, on May 7.

The 5-foot-7, 135-pound stunner is running laps around her competitors in the "figure" category, where contestants are judged on their feminine beauty along with their ripped physiques.

"She's a genetic freak. Most women would kill to be in her shape," said Carlo Filippone, a champion bodybuilder from Fort Lee, NJ, who helped train Muresan. Muresan owns Nebraska's Steakhouse, a Stone Street spot known for its bodacious Eastern European bartenders and sexy holiday parties. Wall Street regulars include honchos from Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan and AIG.

The determined dame started as the steakhouse's coat-check girl after she immigrated with her family from Transylvania in 1992. She climbed her way up to bartender and scraped together the money to buy the place when the owner decided to call it quits in 2006.

Besides the $42 prime rib, part of the restaurant's attraction is Muresan's massive muscles. She can do 500-pound leg presses and 200- pound squats but still has a 24-inch waist. The former runner started bodybuilding in 2004 as a way to get back in shape.

While Muresan loves to look like a million bucks, she's no snob. She regularly dispenses diet advice to curious bar patrons and has helped many customers lose weight, she said. And though she gets challenged to arm-wrestle "all day long," Muresan usually declines. She doesn't want to embarrass her male patrons with her finger-crushing grip.

20  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: New 2012 IFBB rules for all pros and shows (including Olympia) on: September 21, 2011, 10:28:28 PM

Kiss goodbye to a number of competitors who have been on the Olympia stage. Especially regarding figure and bikini.  Half of the girls are done.  They will never place fist at these contests nor the top three at the Olympia or the Arnold.  The 2012 Olympia will be fine, as the rules don't apply until January 1st, and there are quite a few bikini and figure contests until then to place in the top three.

But next year, expect much less competitors on that stage.  The goal is to bring more competitors to the stage, but if you have a qualified competitor competing, then why even try to compete against him or her.  What if one or two qualified figure or bikini competitors decide to compete respectively for six contests in a row.  There will be zero Olympia qualified competitors during that span.  Does it happen?  It did in figure this year for the last 5 competitions.

Expect never  to see Sonia Gonzales on the Olympia stage again, nor many others who might of had a chance.   Dennis Wolf, Victor Martinez, Dexter Jackson might not be on the O stage either, unless they choose to do another contest after the Arnold Classic.  For what? For the prize money? Come on.

21  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Jay Cutler is going to retire after the India Sheru Classic next week on: September 18, 2011, 11:07:10 PM

At the Olympia seminar, Jay avoided the question if he was going to come back next year to compete in the Mr. O.   He won't.  He is just waiting until after the show in India to announce he is going out close to the top.

24  Getbig Womens Area / Figure, Bikini and Fitness Discussions / Why would Amanda Carrier do this? on: April 03, 2011, 10:33:56 AM
Can someone really do this? This site claims that Amanda has done this THREE times or more now?

We present this information to recommend that companies contemplating hiring Amanda Turchin Carrier for any photo shoot conduct their due diligence about her background and motivations.

Read more below...

Here are the facts:

* On NOVEMBER 14, 2008 Belly Bandit contracted with Expecting Models to provide
a post pregnant model.

* The Model they sent us was Amanda Turchin Carrier, she worked 4 hours.

* Belly Bandit paid the modeling agency.

* The Modeling agency paid Amanda Turchin Carrier in full as per her contract
with the agency. Her signed agreement with the agency states she is to be paid in 60 -90

*Amanda, after being paid in full by the modeling agency, decided to sue Belly Bandit for $24,000.

Despite having been paid, Amanda Turchin Carrier, proceeded to make a claim with the EDD (State of California Department of Labor) against one of the owners of Belly Bandit stating she had not been paid from Belly Bandit. Belly Bandit had paid the modeling agency. The Agency had paid Amanda Turchin Carrier IN FULL for her work per there signed agreement (this agreement is also attached). Amanda Turchin Carrier claimed that Belly Bandit was her actual employer and was now claiming the company owed her additional money (one days wages times 30 days plus legal fees).
