it wasn't a war with the USSR, dumbshit, it was a war with the US. their democratically elected, stable representative government ASKED the USSR to intervene, because the mujahideen who were just a tiny radical sect with little influence prior to the late 70's were "mysteriously" getting millions of dollars worth of c4, stinger missiles, and m16's and military/guerrilla warfare training from "somewhere". and yes, compared to the radical muslim shithole it is now, it was a paradise.

The thing is though, at last year's Olympia, the judges did award the title to the best overall "total package". Don't get me wrong, Heath was great and deserved to win, but he was merely the best of a bad bunch - he would never have beaten Ronnie or Dorian in their prime with that physique. The judges can only go with what they're presented with on any given day.
The only way bodybuilders will improve now is if they get significantly better drugs, or discover some sort of gene doping technology to propel them into another league.
what i'm trying to say is Heath is not the total package, he is the total package in the current line up of flawd gollems though judges should start rewarding complete pysiques on a lower level of competetion (local, regional, state) which will lead to better competition and physiques on a higher level (national, international) |

I think Levrone takes it here. Bigger, wider, and just as conditioned, maybe more so.
When Levrone was competing at his peak, that was the golden era for bodybuilding, when guys as good as him couldn't win the Olympia - the overall standard has dropped since then because I think we've now reached a plateau with bodybuilders physical development.
not really, we now just see the results of judges favouring incomplete physiques with 'freak' bodyparts or conditioning for years and years once they start awarding the total package (including calves, forearms, balance, proportion etc) the level of competition will skyrocket i'm tired of seeing these 'huge' guys with tiny calves and midgets with t-tex arms or 'genetic marvels' with 10 inch forearms, just gas the judges and the problem will fix itself |

It's called marketing. I give zero fucks about the few nobodies on here bashing me. A lot of ppl read getbig and thanks to this thread I have over 200 new facebook friend approvals, over 200 new fans, over 200 new potential Shredz customers  I hope you get something out of this forum besides a million posts if by 200 new facebook friends, 200 new fans and over 200 new postential cutomers you mean 600 cockmongers ready to ravage your ashole on a daily basis in order for you to support your drug addiction and, not to forget, legal costs than yes i concur |
