No way that's possible, there's a blade ban in UK.

Yeah, don't you have to be 21 to buy a steak knife there or something?

I actually bought a nice English kitchen knife here in the States and there was a label still on it to that effect. Huh

Agreed!!!! lol there's no $MONEY$ in powerlifting.

True...but then again you don't have to pose in your underwear for "fans" either so I'd say pride of the accomplishment goes for something, haha.

So Obama and Reid are blameless again.   Why didnt it happen under W?

FYI - how is a small business w an online prescense supposed to comply w this crap?

The answer to that is online payment systems such as paypal and other merchant accounts will have to make it automatic. That's the only way the $$ would actually be dispersed to the appropriate state/county. How complex would it be to pay thousands of different billers all over the country based on selling something in that area? Very. That's why you can also count on merchant fees for those sales going way up also. It all gets passed on to the purchaser. If tax is 7% and merchant fees go up 3% to the seller, AT LEAST a 10% price increase for the consumer. Easy math there...

Nobody in a small business that ships say 50 orders a day is going to hire somebody based on the extra work...but they might be doing all they can already....they would just ignore it or put a flat rate on there somehow.

There are going to be a lot of small businesses going from corporate status to DBAs in 2014.

I think we all knew it was going to happen at some point but why do it now? Because they can?

Why not do it in 2-3 years when the overall economy is better because of the low unemployment and all the great incentives are in place to do business?  Roll Eyes

I wonder what the percentage is as far as buying power a dollar has lost in the hands of the average American in the last few years.

Pricing pressures are rampant at the wholesale level so we haven't seen anything yet.
9  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: motorcycle help on: April 23, 2013, 09:02:06 AM
I mean I got like 1500 dollars, I could probably get my parents to help me out a little bit if its a little more I hear what you guys are saying, if I can get something taht will last better not be cheap and get a piece of shit thats gonna break down.

Im a pretty coordinated guy, I have experience mountain biking if that means anything lol.....but  In a nuthsell Im looking for something that. i wont look like a douche on.... but still look like a badass and can fool women with.

How big of a guy are you? The 250 class bikes are smaller frames and less "badass" looking, haha.
10  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: motorcycle help on: April 23, 2013, 08:56:36 AM
He could buy a used 250 Ninja or CBR250R and stay close to his price range.

That way when he crashes he will only be going 40 mph.....and may survive.   Roll Eyes

Well, I started on an '82 GS1100E so I used my will to live to learn how to tame the thing, haha.

And yeah he could buy an older bike like a KZ450 or GS550 or Seca but besides being old they are heavy, handle poorly and have bad brakes compared to a Ninja or CBR 250...and fixing a bike while you learn to ride sucks.

There's always the Suzuki 650 Savage and there are a couple recent 250 cruisers like the Virago and GZ250.

Ever rode an old Kaw GPZ 750 Turbo? That's a sneaky one when the turbo is spooled up.

The Bandit would be a bike that wouldn't lose value and would be harder to outgrow though. Not like it's a V-max....if you can't ride a 600 Bandit you shouldn't be on a sport bike at all....IMO.

12  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Senate Bill could make items online cost more... on: April 23, 2013, 08:37:54 AM
We are on track to both have income tax and a sales tax system that rivals VAT in other countries.
13  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Senate Bill could make items online cost more... on: April 23, 2013, 08:34:16 AM
Yeah, this is a nightmare for small online business.
14  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: motorcycle help on: April 23, 2013, 08:33:27 AM
If you are buying any $2000 sport bike I would pay close attention to year, condition, tires, miles and who the current owner is frankly.

If the Ninja 500 is less than 10 years old and in good shape might be fine. Another good cheap bike in that cc range is a Suzuki Bandit 600.

"His mother, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, told the AP that her son greatly enjoyed his time with her relatives, but never traveled to her native village in a mountainous region of Dagestan, which is a hotbed of an ultraconservative strain of Islam known as Wahabbism. Wahabbism was introduced to the Caucasus in the 1990s by preachers and teachers from Saudi Arabia."

How much of a burden can we carry to keep track of people after we let them here unchecked? We're just going to give away all 4th Amend freedom to all-encompassing govt.

The actions of only a few in Boston have turned the city into something more similar to the Middle East. See how this works?

Obviously this last guy isn't just some angry college kid if he is linked to the bombing. Seems like a lot of training needed to evade all this and be that heavily armed while mobile.
25  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Explosion at the Boston Marathon Finish Line on: April 18, 2013, 10:21:44 PM
Awesome stuff. As stated above what is chance these aren't the guys?
