The exotic animal trade is big money stuff first and foremost, and he probably really did care for them at some point - how could you not be into these animals if you had access to them?

He owned a Harley Dealership in the 70s and 80s.....guns, powder, bootleg stuff, supposedly crashed a helicopter in the river, ran a speedboat into the docks at the local lake at 125mph, etc. Everything he did was wild and over the top and very much out in the open. He had a compound of sorts with infared security over the whole thing. That's where the animals were, bordering I-70 just west of town. One of those guys where 9 out of 10 people called him a dangerous nut and the one other person fervently defended him because they knew or dealt with him somehow over the years.

I grew up there. This guy was something....you could write a book about all the crazy stuff he did. The animals came a lot later in life. He was notorious in the area WAY before this.

A better plan than none, IMO. If debt and Federal Government is this big everybody is going to shell out some cash at every level. Certainly gets everyone thinking about VAT-based taxation. A nation of savers in the future?

These folks who go to school on and off for years and live on overage checks can't be serious? I have friends doing the same sort of complaining right now....but they aren't wanting to work in earnest. They are however looking for the next logical progression of their lifestyle that allows you to wake up at 11am to stare at a new cellphone and game system, haha. I just don't even relate to it to be honest, I dropped out and went to work - which led to starting a business...which led to getting what I worked for...which means I don't throw a tantrum about the fairness of life at 30. Geesh, this country IS screwed.

Have to admit Ford has come out okay- at least in comparison to the other big two. GM was first to restructure a few years back and Ford looked like they were behind, while Daimler was dumping Chrysler(wow, looking very smart now). Now you have small investors taking a bath and Fiat deciding Chrysler's fate. Basically if Fiat doesn't finalize the deal by the 15th then Chrysler could be liquidated. I don't know of a stronger bargaining chip than that, even with the US investors fighting it.

F-350 Dually diesel is a real work truck - but if you go single rear wheel then make sure to get an 8 ft bed. These guys with diesels and 5-6 ft beds make me laugh.
