WBFF Pro? Come on - no one knows or cares. The joke is the WBFF is mostly a bunch of people who could not make it into the IFBB or do well. You need to earn your IFBB card. The WBFF car is given. Sad.

What you don't hear is how many people leave the WBFF to come back to the NPC or IFBB.

9 Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Andrea Mears gets away with assault on a minor on: July 14, 2014, 10:05:45 PM

I was assaulted by Andrea Mears at Hammonasset beach. If you have been wronged by her lies, this is evidence of her aggressive behavior and lies. I only want justice for any possible victims of her.

Because she was a first-time offender, Andrea was eligible for a special kind of probation that’ll basically allow all charges against her to be cleared if she stays clear of trouble for her two year probation. When asked for his thoughts, Austin saw it as a “slap on the wrist”, adding on that “If it had been a male that had assaulted a female, the punishment would have been much more severe”.

11 Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Phil Heath - leaves MuscleTech for Evogen??? Announcement on Friday! on: July 11, 2014, 10:45:17 AM

Way to go. Huge announcement riding on a cocktails of Phil Heath. Led us to believe this was happening. Instead, Phil Heath creates Gifted Nutrition, and Evogen's big announcement of their newest member of the Evogen family? A new item coming in September.

Notice how they changed the announcement. First it said the newest member of the Evogen family. Now, it says Evogen family of products.

Way to mislead the public.

13 Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Evan Centopani leaves Universal for Prime Nutrition on: July 07, 2014, 11:24:58 AM

PJ Braun and Aaron Singerman have landed a coup, signing their friend Evan Centopani to a five year deal with Prime Nutrition. Just one year ago, Prime Nutrition was a shell, having been formed after Aaron was kicked out of RX Muscle. Aaron has much to thank, especially to Dave, who kicked his ass into high gear.

Here is the press release

It is with great excitement and pleasure, that on this day, Prime Nutrition is taking another giant leap in the ultra-competitive supplement industry. We are pleased to announce the signing of one of the brightest stars in all of professional bodybuilding, Evan Centopani, to a 5 year guaranteed contract that offers a truly unique opportunity for an athlete of Centopani’s stature.

Evan will not only be the face of the Prime Nutrition brand, but will also serve as an executive, working in new product and business development. He will be a lead formulator in all new products that hit the market world-wide and have an integral role in closed door meetings about future strategic planning. The terms of the agreement are in place to set-up Centopani long after his competitive bodybuilding days are behind him.

As many of you know, Centopani had been part of an established company for the past seven years, making this move one that didn’t come easy. However, the arrangement presented to Evan was one that he simply could not turn down. As fans of his know, he walks to the beat of his own drum and is meticulous before making decisions. It should come to no surprise that he took full advantage of this new beginning.

Centopani and President of Prime Nutrition, PJ Braun, have been close friends for over a decade. From pals, to training partners, and now business colleagues. Very rarely in business can you mix such a unique dynamic together; CEO of Prime Nutrition, Aaron Singerman, has also had the utmost respect and adulation for Evan for several years. Although the ink on this agreement is barely dry, the mutual admiration and like-mindedness is undeniable.

Stay tuned for more from Evan Centopani and Prime Nutrition about this industry rumbling announcement.

As if Matt Meinrod has any credibility in anything he says. Another gossip queen hearing a rumor from someone who never had any story a tall. Wait! Breaking news. Jay Cutler is not competing in this year's Olympia!
15 Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Flex magazine - Going to be a bi-monthly magazine? on: July 01, 2014, 10:52:22 AM

From sources, it is not bi-monthly. It looks like the magazine is now 10 issues a year, instead of 12, during the slow months when there are no bodybuilding contests.

16 Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: RX Muscle Has Been Banned Entirely From Mr Olympia...not even as a spectator on: July 01, 2014, 10:37:36 AM

WTF is wrong with you? No one can tell someone not to watch it from their hotel room? Or they cannot tell someone not to go to a contest, or the expo. carries the event live to everyone. NBC Sports Television are videotaping it to be edited and shown later.

All that occurred, from what you copied from Matt Menroid, and if it really correct, is that RX Muscle will not have press passes. If they want, they can take pictures at the expo, or at any event like any spectator, just not with any professional equipment. You just won't see them walking around doing interviews or getting access like other media.

17 Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Phil Heath - no longer with Muscletech on: June 30, 2014, 11:19:02 PM

19 Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / 2014 Mr. Olympia contest will be featured on mainstream NBC Sports on: June 13, 2014, 10:49:00 PM
New York, TK – American Media, Inc. (AMI) and NBC Sports Group today announced a partnership to televise the 2014 Mr. Olympia contest on NBCSN. The partnership will feature two 90-minute telecasts of the 50th annual Mr. Olympia where three-time champion Phil Heath will defend his title at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

“We are pleased to partner with NBC Sports Group to bring the excitement of the 2014 Mr. Olympia, and all of the events of Olympia Weekend, to a national television audience,” said AMI Chairman, President, and CEO David J. Pecker. “The Olympia Weekend is an extraordinary event that underscores the passion and commitment that every competitor brings to the stage, and the exhilaration of the more than forty thousand spectators that will attend this year’s event.”

The partnership brings the Mr. Olympia back to TV for the first time since 1984, when Lee Haney won his first of eight titles. NBCSN will televise two 90-minute specials around the event, the first on October 18 at 1:30 p.m. ET and the second on October 25 at 5:30 pm ET.

“We look forward to bringing the bodybuilding world’s most prestigious event back to television for its 50th annual contest,” said Lou Ferrer, Director, Programming Acquisitions, NBC Sports Group.

Each telecast will highlight various aspects of the Mr. Olympia competition, featuring some of the sport’s biggest stars including Kai Greene, Dennis Wolf, Branch Warren, and Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay as they attempt to wrest the coveted title from defending champion Phil Heath. One of the most notable winners of the contest was a young Austrian bodybuilder named Arnold Schwarzenegger who was named Mr. Olympia in 1970 at 23 years-old. Schwarzenegger was the youngest competitor to claim the title, and went on to win seven titles in total (1970-1975, 1980).

"It is a great opportunity to have this year's Olympia Weekend broadcast on NBCSN, exposing the sport to an even broader audience who will see what bodybuilding and fitness are all about and getting an up-close view of the larger-than-life personalities," said Jim Manion IFBB Professional League President. "Not only will this help raise the sport to new heights by showcasing the hard work and passion of today's superstars like reigning and three-time Mr. Olympia Phil Heath, number one challenger Kai Greene, Dennis Wolf, and Shawn Rhoden, it may even inspire a future Mr. Olympia.”

In addition to crowning Mr. Olympia, the telecasts will also showcase how the Mr. Olympia competition has grown from its humble beginnings in 1965 into a four-day exposition featuring the Fitness, Figure, and Bikini Olympia contests, men’s and women’s physique contests, and several other activities and events. Last year, more than 40,000 people passed through the doors for The Mr. Olympia Fitness and Performance Weekend.

The 2014 Mr. Olympia Fitness and Performance weekend takes place September 18-21 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, NV. Tickets are available now at or by calling 888-234-2334.

21 Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: "Mr. America: The Tragic History of a Bodybuilding Icon - Jan 15th on: May 19, 2014, 11:10:34 PM

Drawing on unique archival documents and fascinating interviews, an acclaimed sports historian delivers the first comprehensive examination of Mr. America, the iconic bodybuilding contest that honored ancient ideals while defining masculinity during the competition’s heyday in the 1950s - See more at:

"For most of the twentieth century, the “Mr. America” image epitomized muscular manhood. From humble beginnings in 1939 at a small gym in Schenectady, New York, the Mr. America Contest became the world’s premier bodybuilding event over the next thirty years. Rooted in ancient Greek virtues of health, fitness, beauty, and athleticism, it showcased some of the finest specimens of American masculinity. Interviewing nearly one hundred major figures in the physical culture movement (including twenty-five Mr. Americas) and incorporating copious printed and manuscript sources, John D. Fair has created the definitive study of this iconic phenomenon.

Revealing the ways in which the contest provided a model of functional and fit manhood, Mr. America captures the event’s path to idealism and its slow descent into obscurity. As the 1960s marked a turbulent transition in American society—from the civil rights movement to the rise of feminism and increasing acceptance of homosexuality—Mr. America changed as well. Exploring the influence of other bodily displays, such as the Mr. Universe and Mr. Olympia contests and the Miss America Pageant, Fair focuses on commercialism, size obsession, and drugs that corrupted the competition’s original intent. Accessible and engaging, Mr. America is a compelling portrayal of the glory days of American muscle."

22 Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / RX Muscle no longer to cover local bb shows on: May 18, 2014, 08:19:14 AM

No more #1 in contest coverage. Oh well. and have it covered.

"I wanted to let you know that RX Muscle has decided to discontinue covering local competitions. We will only be covering the high level amateur and IFBB pro shows starting May 30th, 2014. Due to the excessive cost of contest coverage: mileage reimbursement, food stipend, photographer fees, tagger fees, etc., it has become cost prohibitive for our company. We appreciate your hard work and continued dedication to RX Muscle. It's unfortunate that we'll be unable to continue covering the majority of local shows, but unless promoters are willing to pay for the coverage, we're not wasting the time and resources. Thank you for your continued service. If you have any questions feel free to contact me."
