Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Training Q&A / Re: Day off-complete rest, cardio session, or somewhere in between?!?!

Yes, because thats what you do when you like me train martial arts, you might run in the morning then have class at night, or if you compete you might hit both cardio and weight lifting and class and compete on the weekends. This isnt uncommon.
Only bodybuilders feel they need to rest all the time because they hit shoulders with a couple of sets...
Might wanna check out how real athletes train in numerous sports and you'll find that the 3-4 days a week bodybuilding program aint shit.
Share your split, workouts, routines, everything. I'm curious, not trying to be a dick.

Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: 10 reps....

That's exactly it. People who's muscles are predominantly slow twitch will respond better to higher reps with a lighter weight and vice versa for those who are made up of more fast twitch fibers. Every muscle has a mixture of the 2 (skeletal muscle) and it's up to the lifter to know which he/she has predominantly in order to target their goals more effectively. This isn't to say that a slow twitch muscle group shouldn't be trained with a heavy load for growth. It just simply means that it by nature is easier for the muscle to accomplish the lift if it's in it's element
How do i figure out what type i am???

with the most basic of lifts. I've been working out in a typical 2 muscle or 1 muscle a day fashion for well over a year now, but i need something new. I'm thinking dead lifts, squats, pullups/chinups, flat and incline bench, military press. Do you think these are some good ideas for lifts? any others you'd add or take out? what about a good program? any input is greatly appreciated, you guys know more then me!

Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Positive Bodybuilding Discussion & Talk / stretch marks

I've only been lifting for about a year and half, but today I noticed what appears to be the beggining of a strecth mark on my bicep. Just a few quick questions for anyone that knows something about this.... A.) How do I know for sure? B.) Are there any products or creams I can use to get rid of it? C.) Last forever?
Thanks in advance, I know that I train hard to look good and don't want these type of things ruining it.
