1  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: AAS Muscle memory on: August 24, 2014, 01:33:28 PM
No need for theories. This has been answered by science. The East Germans recorded it first. After steroid discontinuation the athletes performance was still better than before steroids. Now we know the nuclei stay after steroid discontinuation.

Read this:

When muscles were worked three months after the steroid treatment stopped, the muscle mass of animals that previously took testosterone bounced back right away, bulking up 31 percent in the first six days. Mice that never took steroids only added about 6 percent to their muscle mass during that time.

We still don't know how many years the nuclei last, but it may make sense to do a cycle every decade...

He`s not.  He specifically researched how Steroids permanently alter the rate of DNA transcription focusing on the Endocrine system.

I only disagree with the word "permanently". Please post any relevant research supporting this.

As far as I know only radiation can cause this.

Watched it two days ago... definitely worth watching, even though it's 3 hours... not sure why Sev is finding it too much... It's a Scorsese movie not Disney... and a black comedy...

Anyway it's based on this guy's autobiography... so not it's based on a true story to some extent... whatever that means (maybe 1% true lol)...

In my early thirties I used to hang out with a similar crowd for almost a year. After that it took a long time to start enjoying life again without being so "amp'd up'.

Daniel Day Lewis and Meryl Streep are the best male and female actors today. Lewis needs to take his time between roles, while Streep somehow manages to churn them out. I can understand Lewis' results because of his total dedication to his roles, but have no idea how Streep does what she does.

Bad acting is easy and prevalent. I am a bad actor myself. I keep learning and get better at guiding others, yet I'm unable to improve myself. I'm always self-conscious. Good acting is both hard and rare. Being completely truthful and in the moment is what every actor chases.

In my opinion you can't fake confidence. Become someone who you are proud of and everything else will fall in place on it's own. No extra effort "to be confident" is needed.
11  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / The Olympic Dealer [interview with Ńngel Heredia] on: June 01, 2012, 02:11:21 AM
Not sure if this was posted before. Interesting to hear it from the "horse's mouth."

A couple of excerpts:

SPIEGEL: With Marion Jones ...

Heredia: ... it was about the recovery phases. In 2000 she competed in one event after another, and she needed to relax. I gave her epo, growth hormone, adrenaline injections, insulin. Insulin helps after training, together with protein drinks: insulin transports protein and minerals more quickly through the cell membrane.

Heredia: There are tablets for the kidneys that block the metabolites of steroids, so when athletes give a urine sample, they donít excrete the metabolites and thus test negative. Or there is an enzyme that slowly consumes proteins - epo has protein structures, and the enzyme thus ensures that the B sample of the doping test has a completely different value than the A sample. Then there are chemicals that you take a couple of hours before the race that prevent acidification in the muscles. Together with epo they are an absolute miracle. Iíve created 20 different drugs that are still undetectable for the doping testers.

Building Muscle Without Heavy Weights

ScienceDaily (Apr. 26, 2012) ó Weight training at a lower intensity but with more repetitions may be as effective for building muscle as lifting heavy weights says a new opinion piece in Applied Physiology, Nutrition, and Metabolism.

"The perspective provided in this review highlights that other resistance protocols, beyond the often discussed high-intensity training, can be effective in stimulating a muscle building response that may translate into bigger muscles after resistance training," says lead author Nicholas Burd. "These findings have important implications from a public health standpoint because skeletal muscle mass is a large contributor to daily energy expenditure and it assists in weight management. Additionally, skeletal muscle mass, because of its overall size, is the primary site of blood sugar disposal and thus will likely play a role in reducing the risk for development of type II diabetes."

The authors from McMaster University conducted a series of experiments that manipulated various resistance exercise variables (e.g., intensity, volume, and muscle time under tension). They found that high-intensity muscle contractions derived from lifting heavy loads were not the only drivers of exercise-induced muscle development. In resistance-trained young men a lower workout intensity and a higher volume of repetitions of resistance exercise, performed until failure, was equally effective in stimulating muscle proteins as a heavy workout intensity at lower repetition rates. An additional benefit of the low-intensity workout is that the higher repetitions required to achieve fatigue will also be beneficial for sustaining the muscle building response for days.

that was this android's attempt at philosophizing about talking shit about fossil crap  Grin

People always justify their own decisions.

Some have kids, some don't. From those that do some will have 1 and some 5. It doesn't matter. Nobody wins, nobody loses. Go with the flow and don't try to fight the stream of life. It's pointless.

Don't try to predict what you will do, how you will think, how you will feel. It's unpredictable and no matter what, you will find a way to justify your decisions.

16  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Steroids Info & Hardcore / Re: anybody ever try ultra-lo cals while "on"? on: April 03, 2012, 05:00:19 AM
I cannot grow in a caloric deficit, even on drugs that are supposedly capable of this.
I have a raging fast metabolism and fight for every pound I gain.
I once did a cycle of primo @ 500mg per week, test @ 250, and D-bol @ 50mg per day.
I starved myself, basically skipped breakfast and lunch, kind of like the warrior diet.
I would have aminos in the daytime, and try to hold on as long as I could without eating.
By the time I was really starving, it  was 5-6pm, and I would eat a very nutrient dense
and filling meal. Even though I hadn't eaten all day, I couldn't fit that much food in my stomach.
So even if I had some cookies and ice cream after that last big meal, my total cals were nothing.
I'm guessing maybe 1500-2000 cals (extremely low for me). I honestly need about 4500 cals to gain any weight at all.

I had never been so lean and vascular. I was doing a little cardio here and there, maybe 30-45 minutes 2-3x per week.
If I competed, I think I could have been show ready with 2 more weeks of eating like that.
For me, that diet is much easier than the contest diets I see guys talking about.
It is easy for me to not eat most of the day, I easily get focused on tasks and if I stay busy, I won't eat.
I get starving the second I slow down and relax. I will pig out like I mentioned above, and I am full for the rest of the night
until bed. It works for me because I don't have to sacrifice any food. If I want pizza, I make that the pigout meal.
Stims in the morning really help too.

This is exactly what works for me. It's effortless, I miss nothing, I have amazing clarity of mind during the day and I lose more visceral fat than any other way.

I played tennis. That being said I have a hard time watching women's tennis. I could beat most of them so the level of play is low and they move like fucking cruise ships. Men's is the real deal

You are completely delusional if you think you could win a game against the latest breed of top 10 women. They are taller, faster, stronger and with more endurance than you, not to mention infinitely more skill. Your whole country barely has 1 guy in the top 100 (ranked 90th)...  Roll Eyes

I love animals and hate to see them in captivity, but the fact is a little girl, who probably went there for the first time, fully understands the concept of "glass" and an adult lion who lives there cannot grasp it.
