I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2012 Range Rover Evoque.  I've always owned Jeep Grand Cherokees in the past, but this will be my first true high-end crossover SUV.  Buying a new vehicle is always exciting.

Is the Evoque the little lady's version of the Range Rover? All the school run mums over here drive these.
2  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Buying a car need help ! on: June 17, 2013, 03:14:16 PM
The Honda costs around $32,000 and the Audi starts at around $69,000.

This therefore cannot be a serious question.

My uncle in the USA drove an Audi 5000 for 20 years until it had 200,000 miles on it.  In the UK old Audi's like the original A4 are everywhere and have an unbreakable reputation. Much more so than recent BMW's which have all sorts of reliability and manufacturer recall issues such as cracking Alloys and failed fuel injection systems after 3000 miles.

Big Jim Slade, former tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs is outfitted with various whips and chains and has a sexual appetite that will knock your socks off. Big Jim has satisfied women throughout the world and the capital of Nebraska is Lincoln!

No wonder Jimmy Thomson threatened to shove his hearing aid up his dad's arse when he had an altercation with them back in the 70's.

Never heard of the POP until this thread.
Here is a 3 minute film about it made in 1959. Looks like a great place but I would be scared to go in these wee cable car things.

Jeez, the Ghibli S model get 410bhp from a 3.0l V6 and zero to 60 in around 4.5 seconds with 4 wheel drive option.
M3 performance from a 5 series sized nicely styled 4 door.
Looking forward to them releasing the price at the Chinese motor show.

PIP, I'll be responding to your "were they natty" question shortly and I think I'll make a few decent enemies in the process.

Remind me if I fuck up and forget.

Great thread.   I hope you are not going to be the first person to expose the fact that guys were on Testosterone Propionate in the 1940's.  Cheesy
9  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Fatal police shoot out video( GRAPHIC ) on: June 04, 2013, 08:21:45 AM
I think the police officer could have made more of an effort to shoot to disarm rather than kill. A shot to the shoulder would have been all it took rather than shooting him in the head. The police officer must have known that a head shot would probably kill him yet he did it anyway Huh

Sad to see a troubled young man's life end this way due to over zealous police but I guess you can't blame the officer too much.
10  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / All American Hero on: June 03, 2013, 12:38:16 PM
This guy is on the news right now in the UK.

I must say he has the look of the type of guy who was a sneak at school.  Like the wee guy in American Graffiti who rides the scooter.

Is he a hero or villain to the majority of the population of the USA?

11  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Michael Douglas got throat cancer from eating too much pussy out on: June 03, 2013, 12:34:57 PM
Gotta agree.  One chick I was dating just finished horse riding.  She was wearing those tan colored tights and I can see a line of sweat streaking down in front to her pussy.  I went ballistic horny.  She wanted to shower first but I just pulled down the tights, bent her over and went to town.  The sweet aroma was devine.

Sorry Pal, you were probably eating some guy's fermenting jizzum from her afternoon session.   It is possible it was horse jizzum.
12  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: who was the most under-rated british rock band from the 60s/70s? on: June 01, 2013, 03:40:16 PM
Humble Pie were a great band. Blues and rock combined.

They kinda reminded me of a cross between Cream and Paul Kossoff's band Free.

I think Free may be even more under rated. I love their album Highway.  Pity Kossoff died at age 25, still in the Rolling Stone top 100 guitarists of all time list.
"Ride on a pony" from that album.

Great video Donny, nice to see the Argyll's rounding up these Gumptas.
I love the 1960's weapons in the film too. The L1A1 SLR rifle and the classic Sten machine gun.  I remember the guys in UNIT on Dr Who always used L1A1's when shooting the Sea Devils and Cyber Men. Shooting a few Muslim devils sounds good to me.

Something like Glasgow Ranger vs Celtic football match  Cheesy

Pretty much Cheesy
The Celtic supporters are known as the Rebels or Jacobites because they supported the rebellion of 1745 which was an attempt to return a Catholic King to Scotland and Great Britain. They were beaten at Culloden and Scotland remained a Protestant country as does England with the Queen being head of the Anglican Protestant Church of England which separated from the Roman Catholic church in 1534.
15  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: The English Defense League- Britain's defense against radical Islam on: May 25, 2013, 04:21:35 PM
But Scotland is voting for independence from UK  Huh Huh Huh

We are voting on it. The Catholics will want independence but the majority protestants will vote to stay part of the UK.

16  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: The English Defense League- Britain's defense against radical Islam on: May 25, 2013, 03:20:56 PM
Not to worry, the Scottish defence league are joining their English friends.

THIS

they basically single-handedly settled the american "wild west" back in the day

fyi, there's lots and lots of Scottish surnames in the great state of Texas

Absolutely, it was a Scot who started the Pinkerton agency in 1850 and other Scots Confederates who formed the original Ku Klux Klan in 1865.

In WW1 the Germans were terrified of the Scots, especially the Black Watch who fought in kilts, because they did not take prisoners and killed any wounded or surrendering Germans with bayonets. Historians believe the war lasted longer in 1918 because they Germans wanted to be sure there were no Scots around when they surrendered. They referred to the Black Watch as the Devils in Skirts Cheesy

Padilla also dressed as a lady boy ....I think Ed Giuliani was asked but refused to be part of the party.

Jimmy Thomson exposed the bit about Franco in the school uniform but I believe Danny Padilla was the first choice in South Africa but he refused. This is why he wasn't allowed to compete in the short class at the 75 Universe despite being shown sitting with Arnold at the show in Pumping Iron.    Ed Giuliani apparently was the biggest toy of the Weiders according to Jimmy.
20  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: what the F*ck happened to the UK?? on: May 25, 2013, 12:34:28 PM
Yup, even the Romans couldn't conquer Scotland. They built Hadrian's wall at the top of England to keep the Scots out.
Their Legion 9 marched up into Scotland in AD 117 and completely vanished.

Nice recap of the events ......
Makes you proud to be Scottish Smiley

One bleak grey morning in AD117, the men of the Ninth Legion tramped north once more.

Little did those they left behind, the girlfriends, auxiliaries and townspeople of York, suspect that this would be the last they ever saw of them.

Carrying sword and shield and finely-pointed javelin, along with full kit, weighing perhaps 40 or 50lb per man, the legion marched at the steady military pace of 20 miles in five hours.

Only the very fittest armed forces today could compete with that sort of regime. These were very tough soldiers, indeed.

Yet the great loneliness of mountain and moorland and the trackless wild must have weighed on them.

They would have glimpsed the occasional wisp of peat smoke, the huddle of turf huts among the gloomy moors, but no more.

Their enemy would have eluded them, and they would have had only their meagre rations of bread and bacon and thin soup for comfort, only the endless rain or the first flurries of winter snow for company.

And the mist. The mist would have been their worst enemy.

For in the mist, the enemy might have closed in on them like wolves as they marched through the lonely glens and begun to harry them, to pick them off one by one. The fear would have begun to grow.

Any stray legionaries the tribesmen captured would have been mutilated horribly and left disembowelled, slung over a wayside thornbush for their comrades to find.

And there would be worse horrors in store.

For there was the defeat of Mons Graupius for the Scots to avenge, and, a generation before that, there was the dying curse of a flamehaired queen called Boudicca...

Somewhere out on those godforsaken Scottish moors, death closed in upon the brave, much-honoured IX Legion.

Only the faintest rumours ever returned of what had befallen the men - rumours of some terrible battle one winter's day among the heather-clad hills, of an alien army led into some lethal mire.

Of the red-crested foreigners fighting to a heroic finale in freezing rain and hail, a last small, wounded band gathered about their silver Eagle totem, fighting to the last man, the motto of every legion on their lips: 'Eagle lost - honour lost; honour lost - all lost.'

All we know for certain is that the IX Hispanica disappeared abruptly from the records, an entire legion vanished.

A fresh legion, the VI Victrix, was brought over from the Lower Rhine to replace them and stationed at York in AD122.

But one visible landmark remains testimony to the Ninth's disappearance.

When the new Emperor Hadrian visited Britain soon after, on hearing of the loss of the IX, he commanded a huge wall to be built, a wall studded with fortresses and watch towers, 80 miles from the Solway to the Tyne.

We look at Hadrian's Wall today as a splendid monument of Roman power and confidence.

But really it was an admission of defeat - and of fear.

An entire legion had been eradicated as if at some sorcerer's command. Not a single survivor had stumbled back into camp to tell the tale.

There were mysteries and horrors out there in the mists and the mountains of Caledonia which not even the Romans could face again.

John Smeaton, one of the airport workers who tackled the terrorists.

Funny shit.   This video make him famous and I believe he married an American woman and now lives in the USA.

I remember that al

the terrorists didn't do their homework

they were driving into either hungover or getting pissed up weegies. it was only going to end one way,

Haha absolutely. It was the first day on the 2 week Glasgow holiday week when the worst scum of Glasgow were packed into the airport.
I almost felt sorry for the poor terrorists having their balls booted by 100 psycho Glasgow Scotsmen as they burned to death. Cheesy

It's only in pussified south England that the Muslems get away with stuff.
A few years back 2 Muslims attacked Glasgow Airport by driving a Jeep filled with firebombs thru the doors.
The good people of Glasgow attacked the scum immediately and caused them pain and death.

Headline in Glasgow's daily record newspaper the following morning.....

One thing which didn't help the image was the fact that the original Gold's gym featured in pumping iron was used as a talent pool for gay porn producers. Plenty of regulars at Gold's (including Bob Birdsong, Roger Callard and Rick Drasin ) featured in gay porn in the 70's because the whole purpose of Gold's being purchased around 1970 in the first place, was as a feeder for gays into the magazine and film world.  A lot of money was made by the Gold's owner who also owned the movie studio. Smart guy who made a fortune.

http://mymusclevideo.com/search/Loadstar/

I can't understand why Rick Drasin doesn't talk about this in his youtube movies. Meeting up and chatting with the old Gold's crew who did gay for pay movies back in the day would be interesting and certainly a lot more truthful than the usual sugar coated interviews which don't mention what they did for money.  I am assured that almost every guy shown at Gold's Venice in the Pumping Iron movie except for Arnold worked for Colt Productions at some time.
25  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Do you really believe in Bipolar as a legit illness? on: May 18, 2013, 03:04:18 PM
that ain't bipolar, dingus. that's just reacting to life. bipolar is a scary thing if you've ever dealt with someone who had it. seeing someone insta-flip from extreme to extreme is really bizarre.

We don't have bipolar in Scotland. On a Saturday night in the pub every kunt is your friend one minute and trying to shove a broken beer glass in your face the next.  It's normal behaviour here.
