I find it funny that people who have no real idea of the situation have such opinions on it. Most have never seen the border, never seen the utter lack of supervision and under staffing on it. Most have never dealth with the results of the large scale illegal immigrants. Most dont know there are plenty of work programs for immigrants that allow them to come to the US and work for months at a time.

If these people had actual experience they would probably have a much different view of the issue.

Last time I was down there we went to Juarez.  What a fucking shithole.  Never again.

Redskins name to be discussed at United Nations
01.24

The Washington Redskins team name has been a subject of controversy for some time now, and there have been increased efforts to get the name changed over the past year. As it stands now, Washington owner Daniel Snyder isn't going to budge when it comes to changing the name, and the NFL isn't forcing him to do anything he doesn't want to do. While there seems to be no movement on the name change, that hasn't stopped groups from trying to get the conversation started again. One of those groups are the Oneida Indian Nation, who will be meeting with the United Nations to discuss the name.

Taking their cause to a corrupt, ineffective, worthless organization...they better have some bribe money.

Project Veritas Undercover Video: Wendy Davis Supporters Caught Mocking Texas AG Greg Abbott's Disability

NEW YORK, NY – Today Project Veritas released a new undercover video exposing Wendy Davis campaign supporters and Battleground Texas staff mocking Attorney General Greg Abbott’s disability. Also caught on tape is a Texas election official advocating voter fraud.

Staff are seen on camera making statements such as “Since he's in a wheelchair and most the slogans are "Stand with Wendy" and "Stand with Texas Women", isn't that amazing to think of? He's in a wheelchair and we want to stand with Wendy?”

When a Deputy Voter Registrar is asked about forging signatures on absentee ballots she covered her ears and then went on to admit, “People do that all the time.” A Battleground Texas volunteer then added, “I don’t think it’s legal but I didn’t hear you say that.”

This is the first video in a series to follow. Project Veritas is non-partisan and does not advocate for political candidates or parties. The purpose of Project Veritas’ investigations is to expose waste, fraud, dishonesty and self-dealing.

This has been well explained to you many times. The fact that you keep bringing it up tells me one of two things

Either you have a severe comprehension problem, or you desperately want to keep this dead non-issue going.
...perhaps paralleling the subject matter of this very thread.

As I stated many times, for me the number was irrelevant. I couldn't care less what it was. The only reason I remembered it was because it was the bare minimum cut-off to get into Mensa. Had it been 1 point lower, I would have been ineligible. That was how I was able to remember it as being 160 because quite frankly I do not care what it is.

On one of the many needless times it was brought into discussion, it was incorrectly stated (by you, if memory serves me correctly) that 140 had instead been the minimum entry requirement. Not realizing at the time what a bellicose, immature, devious and transparently manipulative passive/ aggressive little prick you are, I simply accepted your statement at face value, and assumed I had been mistaken, that it was only 140, ...especially when you also stated 160 was also Einstein's IQ. Upon further checking, I realized, I had NOT been mistaken after all, and it was indeed 160.

But you already know all this don't you, since its been explained to you at least 5 x's already?  Roll Eyes

I hope GetBig does not experience a huge influx of new members anytime soon,
...I fear you will feel compelled to resuscitate this dead non-issue all over again.

Hope we're good till mid 2015 at least, ...when I'm sure you will no doubt bring it up yet again, ...if not sooner.  Roll Eyes

Don't worry Jag, I know how you feel.

My IQ normally scores about 626 (when I'm bored).

But my exceptionally poor memory means I usually report it at 480 or so (I think...hard to remember).

Anyway, it happens at our level of exceptional intelligence.

Hang in there sport.

83  Getbig Main Boards / Politics and Political Issues Board / Re: Christie camp held Sandy relief money hostage, mayor alleges on: January 22, 2014, 03:39:32 PM
This is the difference between conserves and libs, generally.   No repubs are defending Christie because this bs is simply unacceptable.  But w libs when its the pos commie rat that they voted for doing stuff like this - its perfectly ok w them.

Spot on.

85  Getbig Main Boards / Politics and Political Issues Board / Re: Deadlock in Congress tied to Senate, says liberal think tank on: January 18, 2014, 08:20:39 AM
http://news.yahoo.com/think-tank--senate-committees-deadlier-than-house-filibusters-194223760.html

The 113th Congress was one of the most ineffective in American history, passing fewer public laws than any other since at least 1947. And according to the Brookings Institution's Center for Effective Public Management, a Washington-based think tank, the gridlock on Capitol Hill was worse in the Democrat-controlled Senate than the Republican-led House.

The House was able to pass nearly twice the rate of bills introduced as was the Senate, where the committee process wreaked havoc on potential legislation, according to Brookings' analysis.

Yet the republicans are the obstructionist....

Am I the only who thinks this is probably a good thing?

We have enough fucking laws as it is.

86  Getbig Main Boards / Politics and Political Issues Board / Re: Player in NJ bridge scandal will talk for immunity on: January 18, 2014, 08:16:02 AM
Because Hilary can pass that shit right up the ladder to Obama.  During Benghazi, Obama was the man picking out a tie to go suck up to Jay-Z.  His orders would have superceded Hilary's that night.  He was watching that shit live on TV, giving the stand-down order.  Hilary was an underling.  So while she's a bag of shit that doesn't deserve office for many many reasons, I don't see this as something that could sink her.

In the Christie case, I think it'll be the cover-up that is way worse than the actual closing.  Although a woman died stuck in traffic created for political reason because her amberlamps was stuck, that doesn't help things.

and RRKore is correct, it could open up floodgates of people trading in the dirt they have on Christie or each other, in order to get a sweetheart deal.

The Q here... Does anyone know... the texts they are supoenaing... "Gov. Chris Christie's office ordered to surrender text messages and phone records to state panel" - - - DO they only focus on things directly related, OR do they find other damning things and look at those too?   Are these texts all public record, if the phones are paid for by the state of NJ?

I think more telling will be if he tries to hide behind Executive Privilege much like Obama.

BTW...Benghazi is way worse and they've already insulated Obama so she can't push it up anywhere.

88  Getbig Main Boards / Politics and Political Issues Board / Re: Christy Kreme is trouble w Bridge Traffic scandal on: January 13, 2014, 06:33:25 PM
No that's not what i am saying.

3333 said, OB and Christie both POS.  I agree they probably are, at least OB for sure.  The repubs have splintered in that we have ultra conservatives distancing themselves from moderate repubs.  While that may be the valid thing to do to preserve the integrity of conservative ideals it doesn't it doesn't play out well in elections.  I see that when repubs lose more and more elections because they back borderline unelectable peeps and then pounce on peeps like Christie its spells out more dem victories which brings us to what we have now......  REpubs who didn't vote for the ACA and it not mattering at all because there was enough repubs elected to make a difference.    So you have these angry peeps like 3333, who do nothing to stem the liberal tide, if maybe actually, helping it, by attacking electable repub candidates, while acting like others need to get a clue...LANDSLIDE!

Not likely.  If you put the standard GB banter aside, you would be very hard pressed to back your claim that Repubs are losing more and more elections.

Right now, there are more Republican governors than Democrat and Republicans have solid control of the House.  In the Senate, there are about 45 or so (I would have to check).

Also, not sure if you follow PolicyMic, but they noted that the 6th year of a 2 term President always sees the President's party losing Senate seats, every year save one.

http://www.policymic.com/articles/71679/midterm-elections-2014-polls-show-republicans-could-take-over-the-senate

It will be interesting to see what happens.

Keep in mind, Bill Clinton left office with an exceptionally high approval rating and the Democrats still couldn't pull off a slam-dunk election.  I understand the whole 'stolen election' issue, but none of that would have mattered if Gore was so far in front of Bush as to render it irrelevant.

I think you can make a solid case about splintering within the Republican Party, I'm just not convinced that that leads to lost elections.  It would be nice if both Dems and Repubs could lose elections and we could get some fresh 3rd party blood in there!
89  Getbig Main Boards / Politics and Political Issues Board / Re: Police State - Official Thread on: January 13, 2014, 03:47:35 PM

90  Getbig Main Boards / Politics and Political Issues Board / Re: Christy Kreme is trouble w Bridge Traffic scandal on: January 13, 2014, 03:43:38 PM
Doesn't matter.

This is a big reason why OB and Obamacare wasn't stopped.  The Repubs splintered.

I've been wondering myself.  Is it splintered or more integrity?

When Obama doesn't know shit going on in his Admin, all the Dems and media rally around to protect him, demanding evidence that it be proven Obama was in the know.

Now, with no evidence that Christie was in the know (at least not yet), they're all up in arms.

Should Repubs be taking a strategy lesson?

Or doing the right thing and telling Christie he should stand down knowing that it will benefit the Dems?

Christie is guilty as shit here.  Guilty of complete ignorance.

No, no, no.  Squid pro ro, Mr. Powers.

You libs (like typical, unthinking, douchebags) set the bar with Obama.

Unless you can produce an email, text, taped conversation or some other PROOF that Christie knew, he's free and clear.

Probably shouldn't have even fired his underlings if we're true to holding the same standards.
93  Getbig Main Boards / Politics and Political Issues Board / Re: F-You Congrgess, F-You Dems, F-You GOP, F-You Obama on: January 09, 2014, 06:33:10 PM
I agree.  I'm not a fan of the GOP Congress, but they're not responsible for Obamacare.  Democrats own this one.

Meh...I think Repubs are every bit at fault.  They had more than enough time to address the issues that were pissing people off.  They repeatedly failed to get anything done about it even when they could.  There were some half-hearted attempts, but nothing that I would consider substantial.

And now, we're stuck with this mess.

94  Getbig Main Boards / Politics and Political Issues Board / Re: Mike Huckabee links brain dead California girl to Nazi death camps, forced abort on: January 09, 2014, 06:30:32 PM
He's a pundit. I see no real differentiation with the examples you cite. As offensive (and obnoxious, and arrogant and a huge prig) as I find Rush to be, I don't think he should be required to apologize for the bullshit he spews anymore than a dog that shits in the corner should have to apologize.

Agreed.

And to your point about the Schiavo case, do you think the way they went about it was wrong.  I'm not big on the whole starve to death thing.  I would like to have seen them be able to give her something so that she could go peaceful and quick.

95  Getbig Main Boards / Politics and Political Issues Board / Re: Police State - Official Thread on: January 09, 2014, 06:22:35 PM
To say 99% of complaints don't merit outside investigation sounds ludicrous no?

I was reading through the full report, but this was mentioned.

"Police enjoy a level of workplace confidentiality not granted to private-sector professionals in the state, where complaints and disciplinary rulings against attorneys, plumbers, accountants and hairstylists, all identified by name, are posted on state websites"

No real surprise with cops expecting special treatment.

At least one political official is starting to wake up.

"ďItís long since past the day where you can say with a straight face that itís OK to have officers investigate their own. It just isnít a good system,Ē Barnes said."

What is hilarious is some libtards calling for his resignation.

RINO Christie should resign only after obamatheclown fires Sebelius.

Yeah, the left has been arguing for years that nothing that happens under the Obama Administration is Obama's fault.  Now they want to scream like crying babies.

But since I've called them out, I've got no problem calling out Christie.  It's a disgusting abuse of power.  It happened under his watch.  He ought to resign.

do you want to go back to complaining about why "singers" don't have to apologize when they make stupid statements or should I just start posting all of their apologies

here are a few more of my statements that you missed and are likely to go right over that flat head of yours
