176  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Problems with BMW cars and expensive service? on: March 18, 2012, 05:54:53 AM
Good info bro! Thx!

Wanna buy a 2006 one...but so much bullshit going on at the dealerships...  Undecided

That's exactly what i did.  I bought a 2006 LExus GS.  Got it for less than half the price when new.  Also was a very low mileage car.  I bought extended warranty but in general, i never go to the dealer to do work.  BMs are known for being very expensive for parts/service.  The 7 series in particular has the worst reputation for reliability and electrical problems.  I'd rather look at the E class than 5 series - though the new 5 series looks like Beemers got back to form.

Without the brawl that would've been the single most uninteresting presser in a long while.
178  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Anyone remember these MuscleTech products? on: February 14, 2012, 10:07:53 PM
The first time I took it, I put 7 lbs in a week and 12 lbs in 21/2 weeks. That was the first time I loaded with it. Suffice it to say, I haven't replicated those result with it (or any other creatine product) since then.

Right you are!  I gained 9lbs in 9 days the first time i tried it when it hit the market in like '94 or something.  I still take it periodically and get a good pump once its   my system but never like that first time.
179  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: has anybody here successfully cured himself of lordosis? on: February 03, 2012, 05:23:21 AM
when you look at the weak and the right muscles

it seems pretty apparent this is caused by squats and deadlifts over the years, while neglecting ab work, ham work, and flexibility work

the curse of neglecting the "details"

I have the exact same condition and from neglecting what you're pointing out.  I'm back doing situps after each workout.  I see a message therapist once a while and was told i had Lordosis?  I'm working on rounding out my back.  When i roll on my spine it hurts like hell but it feels good - like i've neglected doing it.  And i have.

I've been doing those gay hip thrust movements but they alleviate the condition somewhat.

Glad you brought this subject up.

181  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Anybody Ever Faint or Pass Out While Lifting? on: January 29, 2012, 04:53:03 PM
How old are you Rhomboids?
As a kid up to the age of about 17 I used to faint at the drop of a hat. I grew fast and am pretty tall and big framed. If I stood for 10-15 minutes in one place, like at school assemblies etc 90% of the time I would simply pass out. Grew out of it basically but I think maybe growing fast etc you can have these issues. Remember on school thing where I was standing at the back and on the uppermost bleachers - started to see black spots and thought at the time this is going to be messy. Fell forward, tumbled down to the bottom - took out about 15 kids and a teacher.

Interesting.  I was 120lbs as a sophomore in highschool.  When i came out i was 160.  At 19 i got up to 195 and it's been up and down from there.  Now fluctuating from 180 on a bad week to 190 if i don't miss a meal for a month.  I'm 35 now and do feel like if i had very high blood pressure.  I've never been diagnosed as such though.

I've been doing heavy duty since 1995.  Swear by it but makes me wonder if i'd benefited from periods of non balls to the walls training.
182  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Anybody Ever Faint or Pass Out While Lifting? on: January 29, 2012, 04:37:41 PM
I never had this problem until one day when i was squatting.  I think it was 4 plates but i was coming off a little layoff.  I did my set, stopped, laid on the floor like usual, but the dizziness never left me.  I had blacked out once before so i knew the feeling.  I went up to the reception desk and told the girl i felt faint and she took care of me.

Nowadays an intense set of BB curls makes me fucking dizzy.
183  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Joe Rogan is on TRT and HGH on: January 25, 2012, 05:34:13 AM
It was the podcast with the wierd sounding Hamilton dude.  Can't remember the exact minute he said it.  Sometimes he comes off as too much of a stoner, but i love the topics he discusses.  Michael ruppert and Graham HanCOCK were great on it.
184  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: *ORIGINAL FOOTAGE* Suspect with Crowbar Shot Outside Carls Jr Monterey Park on: January 24, 2012, 06:00:59 PM
If he felt the need to shoot the guy, which I think was totally fucking wrong, why not just shoot him once in the leg?

They must go through some kind of rigorous training where they are taught that any guy on teh street is less than human.  How do you murder a guy while at your job then go home and play with your kids?
185  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Joe Rogan is on TRT and HGH on: January 24, 2012, 05:58:11 PM
He freely admitted it on the last podcast.  Says your body needs it at a certain point.  I think he's 43.  I gotta get my levels measured.  he also claims that he's doing trt to even out his T levels.

The ironic thing is that after having spent all of my tranining doing it naturally and having built everything that way, if im' on TRT for six months, any jerkoff would credit that for my gains and disregard 20yrs of natural training.

Well, he gets choice picks of prime Dominican ass...of course for a price.
He'll get married to one, knock her up, and another issue will ensue...stayed tuned.
Seems like his MO, doesn't it?  Does he speak spanish though?  The last few years were pretty rough on his face.

and Mr. Miyagi, can you fucking get the spelling right?  It's DominicaN Republic you shithead.

188  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: UFC 141 - the Overeem era is here!!! on: January 11, 2012, 03:33:24 PM
Wait, there is a contradiction there. You first state that a kickboxer would destroy a boxer, and then claim that when it comes to striking, boxing is first, then kickboxing and then MMA is at the bottom. Are you sure you don't suffer from Down's Syndrome Huh

Boy i see what were dealing with here.  Let me go slow for you.  Boxing. has. better. striking. than. kickboxing. but. mma. is. not. boxing. it. however. allows. for. kickboxing. techniques.  Does it allow for boxing techniques?  Sure you silly little fag.  But then you'd have a boxer vs kickboxer match which is my point= kickboxer allowed to kick will beat a boxer.

Quote
And yeah, boxers have lost in K-1 fighting with K-1 rules. Have you seen the glove size in K-1? Almost as big boxing gloves. In MMA, the gloves are much smaller and you can knock out someone with one well placed punch.

I'm a big fight fan.  Though i don't care for boxing anymore. I'm aware of the glove sizes.  If either one of them connects they would knock each other out.  Overeem has more tools seeing as he can both kick and punch, whereas JDS, and i love JDS, has not shown much other than his striking skills.

The rest of your points are so stupid that i regret these very words i'm typing right now.  Later dude.
189  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: UFC 141 - the Overeem era is here!!! on: January 10, 2012, 06:10:30 PM
What people don't understand is what a technical boxer JDS is. He is the only guy not only in the HW division but in all of MMA to have professional level boxing. He could go toe to toe against a professional heavyweight boxer in a pure boxing match. He might lose, but he wouldn't be embarassed like pretty much every MMA fighter would. He also has excellent foot movement and clinching skills, which means that Overeem will have a hard time using his kness against him.

People who think that Overeem will walk all over JDS are delusional and here is why: this is boxer vs kickboxer, and a great boxer beats a great kickboxer 9 out of 10 times. Why? Because humans cannot use their legs and knees as effectively to strike as the fists. We don't use our legs to touch and handle things for a reason. We have much better dexterity with our arms than with our legs. The only people who can use their legs for fighting with any effectiveness at all are extremely athletic guys like Anderson Silva and Jon Jones, and Overeem simply doesen't do with his legs the crazy things Anderson and Jones do.

My prediction: JDS will evade Overeem's clinch with his excellent foot movement, and use that same excellent movement to pick Overeem apart in the stand-up, jumping out from his kicks and finding openings in Overeem's guard and connect. Overeem will either get KOd or TKOd.

SUCKMYMUSCLE

You must be new to mma or have a mild case of down syndrome.  A professional kickboxer will destroy a boxer every time.  In terms of striking, Boxing is first, then Kickboxing, and mma is at the bottom.  Alistair isn't the best technical striker, but better than any other other heavyweight, though we have to wait for the JDS fight to see who comes on top.

I don't know if you've watched any K-1, but there have been pro boxers in K-1 and they haven't faired very well.  When they start getting kicked everything changes.  The cute little footwork goes to shit after a couple of proper K-1, Bonjasky-style mule kicks to the thighs.  Nevermind a head kick.  I've seen JDS make a lot of mistakes leaving himself open in standup exchanges.  Overeem, needless to say, is stronger and probably hits as hard as Carwin, if not harder seeing as he is more techical.

Regardless of what happens, this is going to be a hell of a fight.  Junior probably has a better chin than Overeem since he's never been k'od, but Overeem has the power advantage.  If in doubt, while JDS couldn't knock out Big Country, Overeem put down Ben Edwards (look it up to know what this is a valid comparison) three times from three punches in one round.

191  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Today, I had a problem with a bulldog and a bullterrier. on: December 11, 2011, 03:34:53 PM
Well excuse me if I dont give a fuck! Breeders and farmers have been breeding for different traits and temperament for aeon's.  Pit fighting dogs are PITBULLS, not Chihuahua, not lab, not border collie, not kelpie.  PITBULLS are used, as they are the most aggressive fighting dog known to man, every dogman knows this, and defenders of the breed only defend the dog because they like the feeling of strength they impose on the owner, It would be less obvious to have the words printed on your T-Shirt. "I have deep rooted inferiority complex - Oh and I also have a small cock"

Thank you for saying this.  There's an asshole in my neighborhood that walks two Pitbulls unleashed.  Like that twink Kyomu, i was scared when i saw them and crossed the street.  I don't understand why these fucking people, especially people that live in buildings, insist on having these types of dogs.  You can't fucking fight years of evolution.  When those dogs decide to go off, there's nothing you can do.  I imagine myself front kicking them and then putting them on a chokehold - maybe poke their eyes out.

I'd never let my kids near someone that has fucking pitbulls.
192  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: 1991 Mr. Olympia - PICS!!! on: November 30, 2011, 04:36:55 PM
Feel sad for Sonny Schmidt.  Guy placed lower at each suceeding Olympia. Eventually had to move back to Aussie land or Samoa when Weider cut his contract.  The guy was a full time bodybuilder, training like 8hrs a day or some crazy shit like that.  Then finally he wins the masters Olympia only to have Vince Taylor mess him up the year after.
193  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: 20 year old kid breaks up with girlfriend, tries 770lb deadlift on: November 30, 2011, 04:01:25 PM
That's fucking impressive as shit.  He must have mutant-like tendons or some shit.  it is demoralizing watching that and then having to do back tomorrow, and even before starting the workout my entire back will be hurting like a mo'fucker.  Then after 10 mins of stretching and warming up, i can start deads and then i fucking lose grip with straps and only 385lbs or so.  I'm digressing every year.  When i was that kid's age i could barehand 405, now i can't hold on to 365 without a strap.

At least he'll never equal my shape at that age.  He has really bad structure.  Very impressive strength either way.  He made that 400lbs+ look like a paper weight.
194  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: UFC-Fighter Rick Story explains the manhandling on Abel on: November 27, 2011, 06:18:15 PM
Exactly.  Makes no sense that Pierce would make up this story.  The person we need to hear from is Abel.  That thing is way too long - first sign of bullshit.
195  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Good post from another forum newbies should read before cycling on: November 26, 2011, 02:14:09 PM
What about that's been natural his whole life, got past 30 and now his body is just not responding the way it used to?  Furthermore, you don't the luxury of eating six small meals a day and resting as you should.  I feel like my Testosterone levels took a major dive after 30.  I can't maintain the feeling of fullness after working out like i did ten years ago.

Where do guys like me go from here?
196  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Roland Cziurlok & Toney Freeman 4 weeks out from 2011 IFBB Pro World Masters on: November 16, 2011, 09:23:08 AM
Roland looks like Klaus Kinski.  If only he had not listen to Flex's writers and try to bulk up.  That ruined his physique - just like Clairmonte.
197  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Did Phosphagen HP have steroids in it when it first came out? on: November 13, 2011, 12:14:14 PM
I used phosphagen as soon as it came out.  The first month, i used to get such intense cramps on my calves, from walking on the street, that i literally had to stop walking and take a break.  I also put on 9lbs of bodyweight in the first 10days.  I still take Creatine but from any brand.  I feel it after a few days but never like it was in those days.

If they had steroids in them then consider me a big time juicer.
198  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Cain Vs JDS on: November 03, 2011, 05:03:51 PM
Not smart for Cain to stand and bang with Santos.. Santos hits harder than Kongo, and he dropped Cain a few times.. Cains best bet is to punch and wrestle.. A few shots, just to get him open for a take down, then ground and pound... If he tries to make it a boxing match, although he has better hands than Santos,Santos is too fast, and if he gets Cain in trouble,he will NOT give Cain a second to get his head together.. I'm a huge Cain fan,and want to see him win.. But if he thinks he has the power to hurt Santos,he's wrong, and will pay for that poor judgement..

Yeah basically.  Cain doesn't havea  'great' chin.  Kongo put him down three times in that fight.  What saved him was his wrestling.  Anyone in the HW division can knock anyone out, so power is not the main thing.  JDS has a higher striking game than Cain.  Cain has the wrestling and nothing else.  If he can keep JDS down he'll win, if he can't, he'll get KTFO.
199  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: I Hate Jon Jones. on: October 20, 2011, 06:20:46 PM
I hate Jones for the same reasons stated.  The shit talking he did against Rashad was what initially turned me off to him.  And that's the fight i wanna see - him vs Rashad.

Machida has become one of my favorite guys.  The way he dismantled Couture and broke his tooth.  He def won the fight against Jackson as well.  Jones has wrestling and that's it.  Because of that, he can feel confident on his feet doing all that bullshit he does because no one is gonna be able to take him down.

Striking is a game that takes many years to get good at, especially if you didn't come up with it.  He almost uses all those flashy moves to hide his lack of striking skills.  Against Jackson all he threw were 1-2 punches.

I hope Machida fucks him up though i'd really like to see Rashad take a shot at him.

I like Hemingway so i was looking forward to this short story.  I enjoyed it a lot but i'm not sure i see why this is considered to be his best work.  Being completely objective, i can say that maybe it's simply not to my liking.  I enjoyed A Clean, Well Lighted Place much more than this.

I really like the relationship between the old mand and the boy, but can anyone read this and not come away with the same feeling?  I was expecting to come away from this story with some great personal insight, but it wasn't case - at least not yet.

Any of you Getbiggers read this?  What's your opinion?
