I can't believe I used to take the Mega Mass 4000 when I was 18, 19 yrs old.  That stuff was loaded with 200 grams sugar and I wondered why I had a stomach ache!

Finals start at 6:30pm Pac Time, not sure when the Men's Bodybuilding will be thrown in.  You're right, the Pre-Judging was very drawn out having to watch the Women's bodybuilding before the men even came out.     The fitness girls weren't bad though  Grin

Switch to heavy barbell rows and your back will grow way more than doing the deadlifts with the weight you have in the gym.  Go slow and concentrate on the feel and the weight will "feel" like much more...

Def olympic bar.  I keep my wrists about 12 inches apart and make sure to keep the wrist flexed in a straight position the entire motion so there is less stress on the wrists...

Nothing beats close grip bench presses for overall tricep development.

I've always only rested a max of 1 to 1 1/2 mins between sets.  Any more than that and I feel like I lost my pump and my workout suffers...

I have Inzer wrist wraps.  They have great support and are comfortable for heavy bench presses and heavy bicep curls...

I'm new to GetBig.com and have always been doing more of a "bodybuilding" type routine (more reps, concentrate on the feel of the muscles).   I want to get more into powerlifting and currently do 365x5 in the deadlift and have a goal of 500lbs by the end of the year.  Let me know if anyone thinks this is unrealistic.

The deadlift is a truer test of strength, no doubt about it! You use more muscles and there is no way of cheating (unless doing multi reps and bounce the weight off the floor between reps)...

Hey Vince!  I'm new to GetBig and would love some advice on powerlifting.  I've always trained like a bodybuilder and would like to increase my deadlift numbers.  What is a good routine for someone who currently does 365x5 in the deadlift and would like to increase it a smuch as I can in the next 6 months.  Thanks!
