I mean it is not harder to turn pro, it's the same because at the end of the day only 1 guy out of a 1000 gets the pro card so it is the same but it seems like it's easier cause the physiques look better back then, I get it.

Ya but if the audience has doubled that means your preference is in the minority, same with music, you say it is shit but if they catered to your taste there would be less sales.

The funny thing is all I keep hearing is that bodybuilding is dead yet the audiences are double of what they used to be, the expos today have more booths then ever before in the history of bodybuilding. Every show, including nationals is breaking their records for entries, even local shows are bring in 150-200 entries. We may not like the modern look in comparison to the 90's but it is more alive now then ever before

For you guys and gals who forecast the demise of competitive body contests (muscle, physique, and all the womens events) I have heard that the NPC is one of the fastest growing amateur organizations in the world.

But serious, you're more than welcome here, but I'm getting tired of those bitter "modern bb is dead"-like complainers. No need to join GB in that case, so love the game or choose another one, no pun intended.

Hey Meso, I went to that as well today - first time I've been.  

A few observations:

Tight as fuck with the freebies - no giveaways like they do at the Olympia Expos - I came away with jack shit.

Crowds were manic - you had to queue for ages to get a slight glimpse of the pros.

Lots of twinks strutting around in vests

Said twinks clamouring to get their photos taken with all the male fitness models and ignoring the pro bodybuilders.

Ronnie looking surprisingly well considering he looked at deaths door not so long ago

Jay also looking impressive, large and in good condition

Zack Khan fucking monstrous - impressive size, shape and condition and he really should get up on stage

Terry Hollands nearly snapped my arm off when he shook my hand - strong fucker!

Flex looking small but seemed chilled out and approachable

Dana Lynn Bailey surprisingly hot in real life (would hit) - wanted to get a photo with her but the queue was endless.

Bit gutted I couldn't find Kai anywhere, nor Levrone, nor Shawn Ray.

Not a bad day but I'll go on the Friday next year instead of a weekend day when the crowds were ridiculous.

Poorman's FMW clone.  FMW has the stability of a fight family behind him, even if you don't like him.  Look what Boner has in his corner.    He's more of a Roy Jones Jr.  A solid big Welterweight a punch, who can offset his early Camacho hand speed and Berto slugging, will put an 1 his L column sooner than expected but it won't be the likes of a Rios.

Mayweather will retire undefeated and he will never fight Broner. From here on out it's all about the undefeated record. Broner could beat him but he will duck him. My prediction is that Broner is going to beat all in his path and get a top 3 ranking just as Mayweather announces his retirement.  

Not even close.  I don't think he beats Devon Alexander, Bradley, Matthysee, or even Khan and Guerrero at 140-147 right now let alone JMM and Pacquaio.  He's not even in Floyd's stratosphere.
