Could you define tough guy? GSP beat Matt Hughes, and I would consider him a tough guy? GSP has learned to fight without taking too much punishment, like Anderson Silva. The fellows you mentioned, with the styles in which they fight, take a ton of punishment with their styles? Randy Coulture is a beast though and arguably one of the best to ever fight! Do not want to sound like I am taking anything away from any of the fighters you mentioned, they are all Hall of Famers for sure but GSP is one tough SOB as well. Benson has not proven himself yet, still a ton of time for him to prove his place among the elite.

just an observation but i think MMA today has more athletes in it than legit tough guys. guys who you can see are just tough guys would be guys like randy couture, liddel, dan henderson comes to mind, w silva etc.
i think todays crop of mma guys are just athletes who train to fight, and not guys who had any kind of sand at the beginning.
like GSP is not a tough guy. benson henderson is not a tough guy. uriah faber is not a tough guy. i could go on. great athletes and fighters but not legit tough guys
this. but you're going to get alot of flack for this post.

^^ Brutal bro-science here. You can't train a specific area of a muscle. In case of the chest, you have the pectoralis minor & major, so when it comes to function/contraction/stimulation, there is no inner or outer part.
then why bother doing more than 1 exercise per muscle?

Does it really matter what it's called?
would it matter if say southern blues was called jazz? sure, it pisses some people off.. just stating the record labels have basically hijacked the name and turned the genre into something completely different for whatever agenda. it almost has more in common with modern country than it does with traditional rap music.

Ufc isn't real fighting anymore, you try stumping a takedown with double under hooks when someone's butting you in the face. When head butting was allowed under hooks practically didn't exist and that's just one rule.
X2 it has more in common with college wrestling than real fighting

it's hard to label mainstream nowadays since it's a mix of a bunch of stuff. might as well group it into it's own "contemporary" genre.
no doubt! country is even fitting into that 'contemporary' genre now, very similar stuff thats all being played on the top 40 stations.

in all fairness, going by sales stats those "12 year old girls" ARE the rap community. if it was just black people then rappers would all be broke. the mainstream is how you make the big bucks.
sure, its just that his 'rap' is no longer 'rap' and shouldn't really have that label anymore since it hardly resembles the genre.

No, citizens would take care of themselves. What are you some pussy that forgot to survive in nature? Some citizens would die, some criminals would die. That is life. It happens even with a police presence.
just like the citizens protect themselves from war lords and guerrillas in the republic of congo right lol. lawlessness is a very bad thing for the people who arent a part of something. you dont 'take care of yourself' living in an area controlled by drug lords, they take care of you. i would be saying goodbye, and good luck to you bud in those circumstances and as much as i hate cops and government they do a good job at protecting their livestock.

Please understand, the worst of the bad guys "pay" the police. The police co-operate with them. Police don't arrest their "silent" employers.
oh I agree with you, alot of the time police cant and wont protect you if your involved with the wrong people. but without a police presence at all citizens would be far worse off and fair game.

Say what you will, but the police prevent total anarchy from happening. Just think of everyday as an LA Riots or Katrina kind of day. When the infrastructure collapsed, the people went apeshit crazy.
I will take some collateral damage from the police every now and then.
good point. without police i'd have to say 'good luck and goodbye' to these so called anarchists who think they'd stand a chance without having law enforcement protect them. there are some groups of very bad people out there that regular citizens really do need protection from..
