Glad that's over. It's time to drink!

I finally found a booze store that sells Nightrain.

I bought 3 bottles.

Wife not happy.

"Shut up", he explained.

Clearly, your rhetorical prowess is far beyond mine. I concede the field.

'Twas a grueling battle, I accept your surrender.
4  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: F35 at Farnborough airshow on: July 19, 2014, 10:22:20 AM
Planes that are invisible to radar do not exist. Most armies are equipped with battlefield small radars that can spot incoming enemy mortar round, that are bout 1 foot long. Yet F35 is invisible to radar, sure.....also: it has a small fuel tank and a very small internal weapons bay: put external tanks and armament under the wings and the radar signature quadruples.

That overpriced piece of shit is years behind schedule and billions over budget and still has dozens of fault in it. Better for air forces and tax payers to buy something off the shelf. Something that acutally works, and offers value for money and is RELIABLE!

You'd also be purchasing something that wouldn't be able to stay in the air on day one of a conflict with any opposing force that possessed modern SAM's.
5  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: F35 at Farnborough airshow on: July 19, 2014, 10:09:05 AM
The F35 is a POS. The idea of having one airframe for all mission parameters is a fucking pipe dream, and even if it wasn't, the current DoD contractors, with their bloated bureaucracy and 1970's processes are NOT the way to get this done.

The Navy should keep the F-18D until somebody can show another's superiority. The Chair Force should have a F-22 and rhe B-52 as workhorses and the B-2 (B-3?) as mission-specific stealth parameters.

The Marines are too stupid to fly (that's for you, Shockwave) and Army just needs helos.

Wrong on all counts.

Hope this helps.

The U.S. doesn't practice a "Free-Market System," not anymore at least.

Hope this helps.

Seeing as LPR isn't anywhere near record lows, I am very confused indeed.

Depends on what you consider "near."

But more accurately it would be lowest LFPR in close to 4 decades.
9  Getbig Main Boards / Politics and Political Issues Board / Re: 288,000 Jobs Created, Unemployment Drops to 6.1%, & The Dow approaches 17,000 on: July 08, 2014, 03:51:01 PM
The national debt was $10 trillion when he took office.  It's now over $17 trillion.  That disaster dwarfs any possible "good" he has done since taking office.  There is no way we can deem our country to be in "far better shape" when our debt has exploded and threatens to cripple us in the future.

Not just the explosion of govt debt at pretty much all levels but the releveraging of consumers as well. That's not even bringing into account all of the interventions the fed has done and continues to do.

The return on this "investment" has been nil.

I'm aware of what it is and am 'huhing' at your claim that it is at a record low.

Fantastic!

But you used "huh" and not "uh huh."

Hence the confusion.

And when the stock markets are pointed to as a sign that the overall health of the economy is greatly improved I have to chuckle.

6 years and counting of historical action by the Federal Reserve.

Businesses are sitting on historically high levels of cash, it isn't being spent. Why? ZIRP. They can get money for nothing, not spend it on expansion and production but spend it on stock buy backs + M&A.

12  Getbig Main Boards / Politics and Political Issues Board / Re: 288,000 Jobs Created, Unemployment Drops to 6.1%, & The Dow approaches 17,000 on: July 08, 2014, 07:25:54 AM
Huh?

The data is seasonally adjusted, meaning it controls for such regularities. Therefore, the jobs data reveal the underlying trend to the extent that there is one.

Labor Force Participation Rate.

And "seasonally adjusted" is whatever it wants to be, it's in the same dustbin as "Birth-Death Adjustment."

And when it comes to these "Jobs Numbers" it isn't the headline, it's the data contained within that is never reported on by so-called "financial analysts" on CNBC and such. There is the types of jobs being created as opposed to the types that were lost, part time vs full time, wages, hours worked, benefits, what sectors the jobs were in, how many people wanted full time work but had to settle for part time etc. And that is all against the backdrop of under reported inflation. The final nail in the coffin will be amnesty.

Is there a bit more "stability" now? Sure, but it's at the expense of the vast majority of the populations well being. As in, welcome to serfdom.

Just one mans thoughts.

Is it a "crisis" if its being done on purpose as part of a larger plan?

A pretty low bar, Vince.

"but I just wanted to have some other experiences - is that really wrong?"

It sum up her state of mind,  the kind of bitch she is and how she is fucked up.
With argument like that she can justify even the filthiest thing.

And lets say he said "No, I'm not comfortable with that," but decided to continue the relationship.....do you think she would have just been like, "Yeah, OK. I just thought I'd ask," and not go off to bang whatever guy was hitting on her at the local Starbucks?

She asked for permission to fuck other men simply so she could change the rules of the relationship and not have to deal with guilt.

Tricky slut, but a slut nonetheless.

That's quite the fucking leap there, that obamacare is the sole reason for more part time jobs. You are loony

I would say there is at least some effect there.

Either way, the numbers aren't pretty.

When the rest of the world decides that the US Dollar and it's "backing" is no longer worth the risk of buying our debt, an exact date no......

This. The cracks have already started, once the PetroDollar is fully assaulted then the real fireworks begin.

To think of all we've squandered in 100 years

LFP hits record low

60-70% of jobs created were part time. People couldn't find full time work.

Summer vacation surge, declines soon after.

Labor market still a train wreck.

Still more people unemployed now than in 2008

Only certain birth control methods were exempt from being paid for.

Plan B, IUD's and one or two others.

As far as I know the lil' chickadee's can still get the pill and such. Not like the pill is all that expensive anyways.

close...

robby has most likely stolen a lawnmower.. and pawned it.

and, robby has most likely stolen some drywall from a construction site (and pulled it on a little red wagon tied with rope to the seat-post of a bicycle... both probably stolen as well)... and tried to pawn it.

23  Getbig Main Boards / Politics and Political Issues Board / Re: Revision: Economy shrinks in 1st quarter, first time in 3 years on: June 12, 2014, 05:26:18 AM
It gets worse everytime.

But, it's ok according to morons like andrethelittleboy. He looks at 200k new burger joint jobs and believes we are a OK.

Doesn't even care about the labor participation rate. Nah, he just looks at the pulled out the air unemployment rate number that the government comes up with.

Exactly, numbers will be what they are. But if GDP is 3%, which isn't very good given today's context, what will it really matter if LPR is plumbing new lows, still pushing 200k jobs prints where vast majority of jobs being created are burger joint jobs or state level debt supported jobs and the majority sinks lower and lower into nothingness? Demographics proves where we are and where we are headed. And it isn't pretty.
24  Getbig Main Boards / Politics and Political Issues Board / Re: Revision: Economy shrinks in 1st quarter, first time in 3 years on: June 12, 2014, 05:11:47 AM
And there was actually a further "revision" to the negative side for Q1 2014

http://news.yahoo.com/u-healthcare-data-points-much-weaker-first-quarter-012521260--business.html

The government reported that the economy contracted at a 1.0 percent annual rate in the January-March period. But with healthcare spending data now in hand, economists say growth probably declined at a rate of at least 1.7 percent.
25  Getbig Main Boards / Politics and Political Issues Board / Re: Revision: Economy shrinks in 1st quarter, first time in 3 years on: June 12, 2014, 05:05:29 AM
I'm afraid you haven't addressed many of the points I've raised. I don't necessarily blame you: it's a casual bodybuilding board and not everybody wants to engage in in-depth arguments on complex economic matters.

Less forgivable, however, is your confusing the initial 0.1% first quarter 2014 growth estimate with the fourth quarter 2013 growth rate, which was 2.6%. We are in no sense in a recession, 'technical' or otherwise.

Reality will soon arbitrate between our divergent opinions: data collected over the next year and a half, while being decidedly non-demonstrative, is probably going to make one of us look foolish in retrospect (beginning perhaps as early as the July Q2 growth estimates). Good luck!

Ah yes, my mistake.

As for the economy, no real pickup or anything above a death rattle until the employment situation becomes anything but a disaster.

You can't lose a ton of good jobs and replace them with no/low skill/low wage jobs and have any sort of of sustained recovery. But then I guess that depends on your definition of a "Recovery." Does one lead us back to where we were or is it something that has the majority scraping along on wage poor jobs and govt. assistance?

And of course, one of us will be wrong or both of us will be kind of right.
