Dude, you are like the EKul of the sports board.
Anyway, I think they make the playoffs next year, and hopefully Flacco has something to prove. Looks like Denver is dropping the ball again with Dumervil, I think letting Reed walk was a good sign.
i don't know "ekul", i assume he points out things that you don't want to hear E

is that realistic considering they went 10 -6 with all of those players last season?
players being young doesn't guarantee they will get better, they could actually get worse
what about the leadership of ray lewis? i heard about this non stop for 12 years or so now his "leadership" doesn't matter any more

The Ravens paid a heavy price when they tried to keep their 2000 Superbowl team together for another run. They had some roller coaster seasons over the next few years after that. The Ravens are preparing to reload and change the face of the team, simple as that. Even still...I would be shocked if the Ravens played below .500 ball next season. Just too well coached and still a lot of young talent on the roster, not to mention Flacco has something to prove living up to that contract.
And how about James Harrison coming to Baltimore? I would love that. He still has gas in the tank even though past his prime. Baltimore needs linebackers and he'd be a great transitional player for the next 2 seasons or so and a good mentor for the younger players. I've always liked his style of play. He's a badass. And I love the Chris Canty signing.
the problem was they let trent dilfer go and elvis grbac decided to retire after one season with the ravens, then they drafted kyle boller harrison has gone soft since all the fines E

Sounds like the Ravens let these guys walk earl, how does Flaccos deal cause that? Q was traded(bad choice, but they did it classy by trading him to a contender who will pay his full salary) Kruger was a one trick pony who's stats swelled only after the return of Suggs, Ellerbe, while it does sting, was paid a shitload of money and was always in Harbs doghouse because of his attitude, and Pollard was the so called leader of the mutiny back in October. I'm not saying that a bit of rebuilding isn't going on, but to blame it all on Flaccos contract is not true.
and what about boldin and ed reed? no way they win the super bowl without those two E

I don't agree that his contract has 'cost' us any players. The GM and owner have a vision of how they want to keep the team competitive. The Ravens always build through the draft rather than free agency. They're going younger, plain and simple and thinking of the future.
they just won a super bowl, there is no need to blow up the team you think they'll be fine after losing ray lewis, ed reed, kruger, ellerbe, pollard, and boldin? why did boldin only get a 6th round pick and why trade him to a team that could easily prevent your team from winning it again? if boldin was on the 49ers last year the super bowl result could've been different perhaps it's a brother doing a brother a favor? What about his deal? He gets his 60 million guaranteed. The Ravens front office will restructure his contract after the 2014 season, bet on it. So will Terrell Suggs. Every team has a cap-ologist. The Ravens are very effective at managing their cap but their strength is their scouting department and eye for talent in the later rounds. There's a reason they're the only team in the NFL to make the playoffs the last 5 seasons.
well his deal cost you 5 players already i love how flacco said boldin should get paid by the ravens, somebody tell that "genius" he hogged all the money you don't care now because you are still feeling the super bowl high E

Bro you're coming across as bitter, flacco played great even if he didn't make the pro bowl.
I don't think he would trade 100 pro bowls for his one Super Bowl win
i guess you missed 4 out of their last 5 games in the regular season why would i be bitter about flacco getting paid? it clearly hurts the ravens who i don't like so why would i be bitter about him hurting their cap? i don't think he deserves his contract after one good playoff run, winning the super bowl takes a team effort his one super bowl win isn't getting him into the hall of fame, but 100 pro bowls would would you rather be jeff hostetler or dan marino? i imagine you are googling jeff hostetler within the next 10 seconds E

Who gives a fuck about the pro bowl dude? He's the NFL ALL-TIME leader in playoff road wins. He just won the Super Bowl and played lights out through the postseason. 11TD's, no picks. I'll take his 9-4 postseason record instead of pro bowls. You can slight Flacco all you want...he still finished the season as a champion and no one can ever take that away from him.
so flacco won the super bowl and not the ravens? lets see how you feel about his deal when the super bowl high wears off E

I'd rank Flacco 6th best, and his first year without Cam will tell the truth. Also, they didn't back in the playoffs, they had nothing to play for and rested their starters.
yeah sure the "6th best" qb in the league has never even been a pro bowl alternate, which is like 6 guys per conference E

The steelers getting set to lose their number 1 receiving talent...whos going to step up emmanuel sanders? lol wallace is lazy and a one trick pony, he cost us many games last year, he isn't worth half of what he wants flacco was so great last year he got his offensive coordinator fired E

All I know is that the Ravens got the job done and it was a team effort. Flacco got his money, he'll restructure in 2015, and the Ravens will continue to reload and re-stock every season. In Ozzie we trust. Two superbowls since the start of the 21st century says it all.(which is tied with the Steelers, BTW)
if if if if if if if..........if my aunt had balls...she'd be my uncle. This year was the Ravens year. Done and done.
steelers went to a 3rd, they got the edge plus 3 postseason wins against the ravens since the 21st century began where do you rank flacco among all quarterbacks? i have him about 10th E

LOL whats he going to say?
I have no faith at all in my line, our running game is shit and the receiving core and myself arent on the same page?
hahaha well you have to know where we are coming from, at least the team that took us out won the entire thing.
how did the team that took you out do?...oh wait
why do you have such a problem with me thinking flacco isn't an elite qb? and how is ben in a "bad way"? sounds like more wishful thinking uh the patriots took out your team, they didn't win the entire thing E

LOL rapelisburger is in a bad way right now buddy, I would take flacco over rapesy anyday right now. Hopefully the Texans will play you again and maybe we can break another eye bone or screw up another ankle what does ben or anybody have to do with flacco being seriously over paid based on his last 3 games? you think i believe he's overpaid just because he plays for the ravens? how is ben in a "bad way"? he just said this is the best he's ever felt this early in the offseason which is saying a lot considering his injuries at the end of the season hopefully your texans will actually beat a team i hate for once, they failed at that two years in a row, must suck to beat a team by about 4 touchdowns and they win the super bowl instead of your team E

He might not be worth it, they may have overpaid a bit, but they were backed into a corner. Plus, next year when Ryan and Rodgers do their thing, they'll make more. And, what has Marty Melt ever done? Flacco is the real deal, I don't think Aikman ever tossed more than 30 tds and look how he turned out. Boldin and Smith equal repeat.
is "marty melt" matt ryan? funny how quickly people changed their minds based on 1 game, i don't recall anybody saying flacco was better than him before, i think matt would've looked better against the 49ers if they had the ravens defense, not to mention the o line that gave flacco more protection than he ever had aikman was on a stacked team, he wasn't any where near as good as marino repeat? a team that lost 4 out of 5 and backed into the playoffs and without ray's "leadership" and possibly ed reed? ok... who said anything about trading a spot in the hall of fame?
I said his pro bowl apperances, Marino would have still been in the hall without the probowl apperances and with a superbowl win...
If you think marino wouldnt trade his pro bowl apperances for a super bowl win youre a nut.
he got the pro bowl appearances by putting up numbers, which got him into the hall if flacco retired today you think he's in the hall? football is a team sport, can we stop pretending that the qb wins the game by themselves? E
