Or indicating. Bad driving pisses me off and there is nothing but bad drivers here it seems.

The car looks like it did indicate it was switching lanes. The motorcyclist clearly didn't notice and thought he could squeeze through the car with the dashcam and the one switching lanes.

James Watson is an American molecular biologist, geneticist and zoologist, best known as a co-discoverer of the structure of DNA in 1953 with Francis Crick.

"Whenever you interview fat people, you feel bad, because you know you're not going to hire them," Watson said.

I saw a documentary on James Watson, and the guy has some loonie ideas. But you can't take away the fact that he's extremely smart and actually has a very good and dark sense of humor.
The fact that he pushed so hard for the human genome project and actually got it going puts him up there as one of the most influential men in history. Though in my eyes, Norman Borlaug is #1 on that list.

you all complain about how this guy won't live long

outside of his family and friends who cares if he lives long

not to be a dick but he isn't a athlete....he's a drug user

I don't think anyone actually cares, we just don't like seeing news articles claiming steroids are the worst thing in the world because fucktards like this die young misusing them.

And agreed, no bodybuilder in the world is an athlete unless bodybuilding is something they do on the side and play football or something for a living. Competitors have to understand that bodybuilding and physique is a glorified beauty pageant. Nothing more, nothing less. This includes natural bodybuilders.

Is that only an abscess?

It appears that the lat is torn?

You think he trains hard enough to tear anything?
Its definitely an abscess, he said he had a fever and couldn't eat for 9 days, sounds like a septic abscess.
The kid is a certified moron. Makes Jenova look sane  Undecided at least that guy isn't getting infections and fucking up his arms with synthol and steroid cocktails.

6  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: have you ever been best man on: August 21, 2014, 06:14:28 AM
You think that's a frightening prosepct?  Wait until you've been married about 20 years and find that the woman you married has also become a complete stranger to you.

Damn... that's depressing.
Also, I'm not afraid that most of my wedding attenders will be strangers (to me), just saying how if you have a small family and a tight-knit group of friends its hard to fill up an auditorium with people you know.

Oh and this is all obviously hypothetical, I'm not even engaged to my current gf, just saying that IF we were to get married that would be the case.
7  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: have you ever been best man on: August 20, 2014, 01:53:36 PM
at our wedding, my bride had over 100 guests there and I had just 2.

I'm in the exact same boat. Other than my parents and brother, I know about 10 people I'd invite and I doubt they'd all show up haha. My gf on the other hand has a huge family who all live across North America, mostly Canada.
So once the day comes I'll personally know about 15 people and the other 100 will be complete strangers to me.

By the way, if anyone has any advice regarding cold meds that actually work please let me know. I rarely get colds, but when I do they hit me like a train.
9  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Anyone else sick with cold? on: August 20, 2014, 08:29:32 AM
I almost went to office today, but as soon as I stood up outta bed my head started spinning and although I felt a bit better I said "no....one more day to help clear this out."

Yep, as soon as I pop antihistamines at work it's lights out for me.  Anything that can cause drowsiness puts me down.

Been taking nyquil and benedryl at night and drinking a healthy dose of black tea with lemon during the day. Keeps the symptoms at bay, but still feel like hammered shit all the time.
10  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Anyone else sick with cold? on: August 20, 2014, 08:21:26 AM
Thank you.

This is what I was curious about.

I started getting sick on Saturday and by Sunday night was full blown cold.  I'm getting better today finally....been working from home since Monday....last two days have been brutal.

Visited my sisters over a week ago and found out yesterday both got over colds days right before I got mine.

Wondered if something was going around.

I have no idea why I didn't work from home today... But here I am at the office trying to stay awake with coffee and lemon tea.
I went on vacation last week and I probably caught it while driving back (two 8hr drives in two days!). Interestingly enough I'm the only one who got a cold out of everyone who was with me on the ride back.

Yep. Got a cold in the middle of August...  Angry
Been about 3 days as well, started feeling symptoms on Monday now I'm in full blown cold mode. Whats even worse is I'm all out of sick days at work.
12  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Bostin Lloyd..The Guru of Guru's on: August 18, 2014, 07:18:05 AM
Wait, I remember watching an rxmuscle video where Eugene Mishin was talking about getting an infection in his lat that moved up to his throat. Maybe Bostin wants to re-live that hell and show the Russian he's just as tough  Grin
Oh man, this kid is going to have a slow an painful death once he finally fucks himself up for good. My bet is kidney failure.
13  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Bostin Lloyd..The Guru of Guru's on: August 18, 2014, 07:15:17 AM
How do you manage a lat infection? What in the hell?

Dirty gear, re-using needles, being a dumbass in general. All these things contribute to a nice firm tit growing out of his left side.
If its dirty gear can you really blame the kid though? I mean the arm thing wasn't an infection from what I understand, it was a bad injection into a nerve bed (again, being a dumbass contributes to this).
I'd say the stupidest thing he's done is stay home and not see a Dr as soon as he found out it was full blown abscess.

back in the day of tesla , edison, stienmetz farraday is proof that the education system is totally fucked up and fucked around today not only that but the mentality of people

our leaps in technology were done in those days tesla only had raw steel copper, wood and wire to work with,  they had real hads on knowledge not idiotic quantamn theory quantam insanity nonsense floating around there textbooks as a distraction

And as for new technologies, you understand that if we figure out how quantum physics allows us to have 2 particles become entangled, we can create a communication device that would allow us to communicate at a rate faster than that of the speed of light. Another theoretical discovery is anti-matter. It is theoretical today, but in the next 100 years we may harness it to create anti-matter engines which will allow us to explore other star systems or even galaxies!
Knowledge is not stagnant. Only people who don't know the current events of physics, astronomy, chemistry, mathematics and biology THINK that we are stagnant. At some point, electromagnetic fields were also a theory, but people like Tesla and Edison harnessed that power to make it a reality. This is exactly what is happening now except on a grander scale. If we still had to work with raw materials as Tesla did, we would be stuck in the pre-industrial era.

Yes, because the Kepler space telescope, the Hubble space telescope, the (soon to be launched) James Webb telescope, the moon landing, mars rover explorers, the LHC, etc.. etc... are not hands-on and are completely stagnant to our knowledge of the universe around us  Roll Eyes
The people working on these projects are the result of education, not necessarily American education, but education nonetheless.

Perhaps you should get your hands on a textbook, or at least use Google to find out the current HANDS ON research out there.

Two deranged militant vegans called 'Freeley the banana girl' and 'Durianrider' are spreading massive untruths about the power of the heme iron and Adonis principles. Hundreds of thousands of subscribers are fed with this nonsense of how to attain the supreme physique through poisonous amounts of potassium drenched banana diets.

"Meat eaters get too much fat in their diet and fat obviously makes you fat. Fruit on the other hand makes you lean since it only contains carbohydrates and can't be stored as fat"

One of many horrific qoutes from these two protein haters. They are a severe threat to the world of man thongs and motel wrestling.  Angry

Will provide youtube links once I get home on a computer.

Obviously bb related since they both claim to be lifting yet still suffer from severe YLLS sundrome and the dude looks like a malnourished Treblinka survivor. Claim to be working out 40h a week yet vanishes as soon as he puts on a t-shirt light is reflected off him, oh brother.

Fixed. No t-shirt required for him to vanish.

23  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Mike Matarazzo Fighting For His Life on: August 05, 2014, 11:25:00 AM
In an interview with Ron Harris posted on MD forums on 23/01/2014 he states that nobody in his family ever had a history of heart problems.  Link to said interview;

http://forums.musculardevelopment.com/showthread.php/78535-Mike-Matarazzo/page2

For the more intellectually challenged amongst us, please see the 4th question and answer, 4th sentence in answer.

'Nobody in my family ever had heart problems'

Awful lot of bodybuilders with a precondition of 'heart problems'  Lips sealed . Nasser, Art Atwood, Mike Matarazzo, Sonny Schmidt,  Momo Benaziza, Munzer, Mentzer brothers, the famous pros with kidney issues, Flex, Don Long, Tom Prince the Aussie fella, fuck knows his name. Countless others like Dennis Newman,  Danny Padilla, Ollie Burke, Dan Duchaine. A lot of these men didn't even see 40. Most of them literally not even 50. Very very healthy 'sport'.  Lips sealed

Off course it ain't got nothing to do with taking mind-bending amounts of steroids. Tennis/Golf/Badminton/Squash players die of 'precondition' heart attacks all the time  Roll Eyes

Actually, some people have no idea about family history. For example, I have no idea if heart problems run in my family because both my grandfathers died before they hit 60. One died at 50 from obesity (flesh eating disease of some sort that docs couldn't get to because he had too much fat on him.) and the other was struck by lightning and died at 55. My dad has never had BP or heart problems, even with 30 years of smoking under his belt, but I can never be sure that it does or doesn't run in my family.

I DO, however, understand your point about mind-bending amounts of shit they take, and totally agree. Even if you're SLIGHTLY predisposed to some kidney or heart condition, huge amounts of steroids will make it 10000X worse. So realistically, your grandfather could have lived to 90 with a very mild heart condition, but because you also have that slight condition you could die at 50 just because the drugs would have made it THAT much worse.
24  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Mike Matarazzo Fighting For His Life on: August 05, 2014, 09:59:50 AM
Heath is still fairly young.  As he ages the ill-health effects will catch up to him too.  He still has a few years left before his body says fuck you.

The average competitive life span of a juiced to the gills pro bodybuilder is about 10 years.  The very top guys are the ones who are constantly pushing the envelope.  The reason they got to the top is because of... 1) The amount of drugs they're taking, and 2) Their body's ability to tolerate it.  However, the human body can only take so much abuse.   These guys always think "It can never happen to me, I can handle the drug regime"... that's the androgens talking.

What's "a few years?" In 2002 Ronnie came into the O at 300lbs and it was obvious he was on unfathomable amounts of gear, gh, slin, etc... His body took that abuse all the way to 2006 when he finally started to regress into a lump of shit. And I bet if he downsized even more than he has now he'd be way healthier and pull a couple more years of life.
If Phil is smart, he'll quit at around 6 or 7 Sandows and downsize to his college weight. It won't be pretty, but at least his body will receive a much needed rest. I know it won't happen, he'll try to beat Ronnie's record, and I get that, that's what being competitive is all about. But its his decision and he has to live with the consequences. Just like it was Mike's decision to sit in the hotel room and shoot all sorts of shit into his body before prejudging. He knew the risk, or at last should of had some clue of the risk, but decided that's what he needed to do to be competitive.

Another good example of someone who should have died years ago is Markus Ruhl. I can't believe he's still kicking around, but the body is an amazing thing, and he hit the jackpot when it came to tolerance of abuse of that magnitude.
25  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Mike Matarazzo Fighting For His Life on: August 05, 2014, 09:46:13 AM
I get the competitive side and the "must win at all cost" attitude-what I don't get is why not apply it to something that will potentially be more lucrative, rather than playing Russian Roulette with ones health? That's why one can't help but to get the impression that these guys are all stupid, with no vision whatsoever-
Take Heath and his "lifestyle" for example-How much money can he really be making? In the real world, it's shit. He should't be spending like it will never end-
Why not take that energy and build a business, something that can potentially create a legacy for himself and family?
Instead, he pumps himself full of drugs, spends like he is headed to the gas chamber, and has zero thoughts about what the future may bring.

I don't think any of us know what he's actually investing into. I mean, I get the whole spending thing, I've seen the car he drives. But like Jay, he may be investing in real estate or something along those lines. I can't imagine Heath is dumb enough to think that the stream of money will never end. He is, after all, college educated and seems like a level headed guy (cocky, but level headed).
I hope for his sake he learned a thing or two from Jay's successes and failures, he has a great opportunity to retire like a king.
