1  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Ground Beef: 80% or 90% on: Today at 12:12:35 PM
I usually get "lean" or "medium" so i guess that's around 80%, I don't really pay attention much to that. I get it because I'm on low carb and fats are something I need, so it works out great. When I fry the beef a lot of the fat ends up draining out anyway, so even if you're not on low carb or keto you can still "clean" the fat out lol.
Save your money, bud, go for the cheap stuff  Cheesy
2  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Horrific health impacts of lowcarb diets. Now there is actual research. on: April 16, 2014, 11:55:21 AM
Well, I'm sticking to my bro diet consisting of brown rice/jasmin rice and salmon/chicken. Grin

How do people cope with low carb diets? I can barely do math without carbs, let alone run a couple of miles without it.

I love the low/no carb diet. I have no problems performing at work or physically, hunger isn't an issue either, even though I have a huge appetite. I do 30min fasted cardio 5 days/wk, weight train 5 or 6 days/wk, and surprisingly drink less coffee than my coworkers who don't give a shit about their diets.
I think some people can handle it and some just can't. I realized I can't fast in the morning or else I feel like shit all day, some people can fast for days! Just find what works for you and do it.

I've seen that video where the Merk scientist jokes about accidentally getting monkey cancer viruses in the vaccines.  I read some English doctor recently who wrote he thinks vaccines are probably the true cause of the cancer epidemic in Britain.
Or we can diagnose it better now... Or better yet, our diets are shit, people don't take care of their bodies, obesity is actually becoming serious enough for cancers to develop, etc etc...
Just like autism is "on the rise" now  Roll Eyes. 50 years ago those kids wouldn't be autistic, they'd be "odd" or have a "retardation".
8  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Steroid Myths #1... all u gotta do is take more and you'll be a freak. on: April 09, 2014, 02:03:43 PM
I have no qualms with ESF and I think he could redeem himself by posting a pic of him at his best, I mean if you're on this board every day you must want to have some respect from your peers otherwise who would tolerate being thought of lowly all the time, maybe Shizzo I suppose lol
I almost want to believe this guy is a monstrous chemical experiment, and looks as such. I hope if he ever posts another pic it won't be disappointing. I guess that whole thing about having a distinct tattoo and being recognized in real life isn't an excuse at this point, since we can clearly see that tattoo in the current pic.

You are going to have to post a photo of you looking considerably better than this if you want people to take you seriously.
You have NEVER been bigger than that, I have seen all your pictures remember

Is that seriously ESF? If so, then damn... I always imagined a 250lb monster on 4g+ gear.
10  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Who fasts here? on: April 09, 2014, 07:23:10 AM
I fast once or twice a week. Have been for years.

It doesn't hurt anything as far as my physique is concerned. I'm not positive about the overall benefits, but it bothers me in the least.

The first 16 hours are a breeze for me.

I may drink a carbonated energy drink with no carbs... sounds funny "carb and carbonated" but have nothing to do with eachother. Ha ha

Fasting helps you keep your priorities straight. It also helps you realize things about food.

When it is time to eat again, you really notice just exactly what food does to you dependent upon what you choose to eat. It's a good way to test how you get along with certain foods.

I enjoy fasting and I will also work out during a fast. No problem.

Oh, and don't forget. Less time spent in the can on those days too...

Ah but that's my ME time. Especially while at work  Grin Nothing like getting paid to poop!
11  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Who fasts here? on: April 09, 2014, 06:47:25 AM
I started Kiefer's backloading and it requires a morning fast until noon-ish. I gotta say, the first day was horrible. I was hazy, even balancing while walking was difficult. I'm on day 4 now and I feel much better. Its not a "real" fast like you guys do that last a week. No idea how you can go that long without food! I'd shrivel up into nothing and feel like complete shit.
In general I do feel much better throughout the day after the fast and I'm surprised how well I sleep now!
12  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Nutrition, Products & Supplements / Re: Just started CBL on: April 09, 2014, 05:03:48 AM
It does sound too good to be true.. But for the last 3 days I've been eating whatever I wanted after my workout for about 2.5hrs and I wake up hard and lean. I don't only eat carbs though. I love cottage cheese so I pound that down.
I do fast in the morning until 11 or noon, which I think plays a big role in staying lean or even leaning out. I also notice a much better pump in the gym, which makes sense.
13  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Nutrition, Products & Supplements / Just started CBL on: April 08, 2014, 08:28:48 AM
I tried it last year but ended up "backloading" all day  Roll Eyes and never skipped breakfast.

This time around I'm doing it by the book. I read the book on Sunday and decided I'll try it out as Kiefer laid it out.
I wake up at 6:30am, do cardio for about 30mins, then have a cup of coffee, take fish oils and vitamins.
Between 11am and noon I have my first meal consisting of tuna, olive oil and romaine lettuce.
About 2 hours later I have another meal identical to the first.
Preworkout I have beef, cheese, avocado and a little olive oil. This happens around 4pm, my workout is at 5:30.
Post workout (6:30 or 7pm) I start loading on carbs, I start with a banana, chicken + brown rice. Then it turns to sugary stuff (chocolate chip cookies, cereal, popcorn), cottage cheese (for protein) and protein shakes if I'm too full to eat.
Tonight I'm going for potatoes, skipping out on the cookies, they actually made me really sick last night.

I must say I've always been a low carb guy, but after 2 days of backloading I'm looking bigger and leaner. I'll see how it goes for the next couple weeks and decide if it works for fat loss/muscle gain.

Has anyone tried this with any success?

15  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Bodybuilding is more fresh when Jay Cutler retired. on: April 05, 2014, 03:54:23 PM
I actually like Jay. He's been nothing but nice to me when I met him, never turns a fan down, had a great physique and was super professional in almost all aspects of life. I do think as he's gotten older he's become less mature (wearing backwards caps and dressing like a teenager), but I think that's his midlife crisis, especially after Kerri left him.
When I started lifting I never aspired to be big or anything close to a bodybuilder, but as I researched weight lifting more and more I came across pro bbing and the IFBB. Jay was the reigning Mr. O back then and I felt like I could relate to him. He was a blocky white guy who had structural flaws, but worked hard enough that he came in amazing conditioning with size to match. I have a blocky waist and other structural flaws, so I could never relate to guys like Flex (Lewis OR Wheeler, for that matter), Cormier, Wolf, etc.. But I could relate to Dorian, Jay, hell, even Ruhl.
Jay was great for bbing, at least I think he was, he's someone I aspired to look like, even though that probably will never happen.

Would you rather most people be overweight or most people be a healthy weight?

If I'm being honest, I'd rather a lot of people around me be fat so I can look better and judge them haha. I feel like an asshole typing that, but its true.
18  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: The average American woman is 5'4, 164 pounds with a 37.5 inch waist on: March 26, 2014, 06:44:31 PM
I hate fatties who take up two seats on the bus or train...and they just CAN'T stand up, they have to sit down.

I need to get in better shape so I can more harshly judge others  Cheesy
My coworker started using a wheelchair recently because she got too fat to walk. She still walks to/from her car (parked close by in a handicapped spot, of course) but that's her exercise for the day.
I now avoid talking to her at all costs in case she asks me to push her around the office, usually kitchen or bathroom. Wtf, your arms don't work either? Maybe moving at least one body part throughout the day could benefit you? Apparently the thought never crossed her mind.

That's absurd... The stupid bitch must not realize how incredibly foolish she looks. What an embarrassment.
Agreed! Just look at her! Needs way more colour and you can see fat folds over her bottoms! Definitely needs like 6 more weeks of hardcore dieting.
...We're talking about the pale one in the pink bikini, right?
22  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Sally Anne Taylor leaving RX Muscle on: March 20, 2014, 05:15:00 PM
everybody who works with dave knows what they're getting into
Very true. Good thing he's a good prep coach and knows his shit when it comes to diet and drugs. Interesting to listen to when he talks about that on his radio show, but the rest of the show seems to be him and Chris bitching about flights and his knee which is annoying as hell.

24  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Teen Jay Cutler.... on: March 20, 2014, 08:00:57 AM
he started juicing when he started lifting weights ie age 14
he's done quite a few cycles already in that pic
There's no way he was cycling at 14. I know he joined a gym at 18 and then gained like 40lbs in 1 year. I'm sure he jumped on some serious gear right away, its not impossible to gain that much weight in 12 months, especially with newbie gains + very good response to gear. He had a good base to start with, working on the farm and his brother's construction company too.
No one but Jay and maybe Chris Aceto know when he really jumped on the juice, but I doubt he started before actually joining a gym.
