take a look at your chest and your priorites..if you want to be a big bencher than just focus on the flat bench first to get maximum pushing taken care of in your lift you're wanting more.  If you want your upper chest or lower chest to develop more then prioritize your training and use the incline or decline first to put the most effort into that area before you go onto something else.

what's a respectable 315 rep range anyway? just curious..a few boys in teh gym hit it for 8-10 no problem.  Last i tried i got it for 16 from my chest..but that's the only weight i can handle full range before my shoulder starts talking during a set. that was on a smith machine...i'm back up to 12 reps with it on the standard flat bench.

okay guys do you have random people walk up to you in the workplace and ask you for training advice or what your lifts are?


i had the strangest thing happen...i had a customer out of no where go "are you 3 plates yet?"

at first i thought he said places at first then he DID say plates...and i had to ask wtf he was talking about.  In a business setting you don't expect someone to say "are you three plates yet?!"  so i flat out said i'm sorry i have no clue what you're talking about...

he goes...i need help benching 300lbs and wanted to know if you did it and would help me out.



i just found it odd and wanted to know what other kinda random shit happens to you guys?  Huh

okay guys...give me some advice on this.  I know there have been a few topics but they're all different with different input on each.  I'm trying to maintain what i gained on cycle while burning down about 10-15lbs of fat in the course of a few months.  The idea i've laid out is to up my cardio to 5 days a week for 30 minutes instead of hte usual 3 and cut out the carbs from my diet save 45mintues before and a small amount post workout ..everything else is just straight carb free and lower in fat after that.  I'm maintaining my 2gal a day water intake to make sure that what i lose isn't the water weight and to help prevent cramps, etc. while doing this.  MY total cal intake while on was about 3800 til i hit 239 lbs and have yet to climb over 240 and sit there comfortably.  SO i think it's time to focus on cutting now instead of putting on more weight.  If i bumped my cals down to 3000 or even 2800 how quickly do you think the weight would drop? is 2-3lbs a week alot to ask?  Huh  I'm keeping my shakes as my smaller meals throughout the day...those alone equate to almost 2000 cals @ 230grams of protein...

that's another thing..i'm upping the protein intake to help prevent muscle loss and help with recovery while my carb instake is down.



so lay it on me? good idea or bad one to go it this way?

i know it's not perfect...that's why i posted it.  I said i would and tried to deliver something at least once.  it's why we're here right? i'm looking for feedback..from what's i nthe pick..what needs work? my chest is really wide but needs to thicken up. my traps are growing like weeds..but i've got a barrel torso...and have really high lats. 

and i can't tell if my bi's need more work or my tri's...

it's just an internet bitch fest...

i find it very hard to believe that just because derek has taken up mma and sparring that he could be much better than any other entry level fighter to begin with.  that hasta be what you do all day everyday to be any sort of intimidating or have done it for years...not just however many weeks.  and TA would have some respect in my book if he showed up for it...but still.  DA looks like a dumb fuck even though he's a big dude..

they'll just help you recover faster..no necessarily requires changing much of anything routine wise except more weight or this or that here and there as you progress that i've seen.  I never upped mine and just went with it as my strength increased when on.

yeah that's why i contemplated the dieting down while still on..i've always had a thick waist. and that's where my hips are..so i'm like one big barrel. My arms are all bi's it seems...my tricep thickness is on the larger rear head. 

Give me some constructive criticism..what do you think needs work on the upper body? traps are smaller because i just started working with them again. I know i havne't given ya'll a very good pic to work with..i'll work on that. 

I was measured at 15% bf there and it was taken by a PT at the gym...judging by that pic do you think it's on or off? and by how much?

i've done the same thing for so long now that it's time for something i think..and i like the hit  concept. Thanks for more info..i'm gonna study up on it for awhile and see what i can come up with. I think that's why it DOES work so well for alot of people...because everyone is used to the standard reps and sets workout that this kind of change can't NOT work.

So from what i've read..you just do less sets but go as much as you can as hard as you can each set and that's it? and it's just moving the weight as much as you can til you can't move it anymore?  Huh
