It is not impossible to condition yourself for those few extra reps

I would say "hello" or "how are you" to pretty much everyone when I come in work in the morning. I don't say "good morning" but always respond.

Anyone I make eye contact with I at least smmile and acknowledge them when when walking through my building.

Simple things like no tattoos, jewellery, not swearing and having bouncers wear dress shirts and ties go a long way to help with this.

I would remain calm and explain I was not going to do that and within a few seconds there would be 2-3 other guys behind you to just walk you outside.

We would not hurt you.

I think in about the last 3 months I have had to physically lay my hands on about 8 people to get them out of the bar.

7 of them was nothing more than a pat on the shoulder and explaining maybe even guiding them gently with my arm. 1 guy was brought forcefully, but fairly.

I have however asked maybe 50+ to leave without so much as a raised word between us. Just by being civil and explaining.

Being a bouncer is just using your mouth and being smarter and calmer than the guy you have an issue with.

Being 20 something with a degree in business means shit - a lot of work is about common sense and people skills and that will be more use to you in teh early years of your career than theory you learnt in College.

I think raw lifting is infinitely more impressive than equipped lifting.

Much better than seeing someone lift a weight it is impossible to relate to because of equipment.
