Getbig Main Boards / General Topics / The Olympic Torch fiasco

What a sad state of affairs the torch procession has been so far. It's being nothing short of a massive PR disaster for the Chinese Government, the IOC and any country that supprted China hosting the games in the first place. Protest have already started in San Francisco before the torch has even arrived there lol. Seeing the torch making it's way through London and Paris surrounded by the police and Chinese thugs security whilst protestors try and grab it makes a mockery of the Olympic ideal, and embarresses all concerned. Oh, and the French police on roller blades

Getbig Main Boards / General Topics / Father & daughter have child together

A SOUTH Australian father and daughter have revealed they are a couple, and have had a child together. John and Jenny Deaves reunited 30 years after Mr Deaves separated from Jenny's mother. Jenny was 31 and just two weeks after meeting, father and daughter had sex. "John and I are in this relationship as consenting adults," Mrs Deaves told the Nine Network's 60 Minutes tonight. "We are just asking for a little bit of respect and understanding." Their nine-month-old daughter Celeste, shown on TV, appears fit and healthy. Mrs Deaves said soon after reuniting with her father she began to see him as a man first and her father second. "I was looking at him, sort of going, oh, he's not too bad," she said. "Like you might look at a man across the bar at a nightclub." Mrs Deaves brought two children, Samantha and Alex, into the relationship after splitting from her former partner. Mr Deaves admitted that he "initially" thought having sex with his daughter was wrong. "Emotions take over, as people no doubt realise, there are times during your life where emotions do rule the heart, it rules the head," he said. "I knew it was illegal, of course I knew it was illegal but you know, so what." Mrs Deaves said the physical relationship with her father was like "a sexual relationship with any other man". For Mr Deaves the sexual relationship was "absolutely fantastic". A South Australian police media spokesman said "the couple is being monitored". http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,23494958-29277,00.html

For not having read the book, we didn't do too badly interpreting its theme.. So what finally, was the significance of Woody's character? Someone said he represented goodness and all things light, which was why he dressed in white, accepted his death (which came early) with calm courage, didn't carry a gun. I thought with a character name like Carson Wells, he also represented the old fashioned image of lawman, with morals and optimism, and a clear vision of the evil he was fighting. Or did I not understand again? You're quite magnificent

actually been able to vote in an election that might mean something.
In the past, my votes were were wasted because Labour have a landslide. But now we have an election in London that might sway things.
Although I adore Ken, I reckon he's been there far too long. (And I'm old enough to remember the GLC and everything Ken's done for London.
Also my family and their parents and grandparents were all working class Liverpuddlian Labour voters, until my Dad became an engineer and we all went kinda middle class and moved to Essex and then Canada and he started voting Conservative. All those taxes !
I did vote for Pierre Trudeau more than once when I lived in Canada ages ago, I even kissed him on each cheek and then shook his hand once, that worked! edit: I've just worked out that I must've just reached voting age that year. Was it 1986?
I've seen and met Ken umpteen times in the last 10 years. Never bothered to kiss him. There's something I don't like about him I haven't figured out yet.
He's so green, he says, he's mouldy.
Anyone here care to tell me how to vote? This is an election which will make a diff.
Boris cycles and he's a high-class blond and ...
Who's the BNP candidate? The BNP are a bunch of clowns to be honest, but if they can stop the wogs from taking over maybe you should vote for them.

BELLEVUE, Ohio -- Police said an Ohio man has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a picnic table. Police arrested Arthur Price Jr. after an anonymous tipster dropped off three DVDs that reportedly showed Price in the act. According to NBC Toledo, Ohio, affiliate WNWO-TV, the videos show Price tilting the metal round picnic table on its side and then laying up against it to have sexual intercourse with the table. Afterward, he can then be seen cleaning the table and the deck. During questioning, he reportedly admitted to having sex with the table. Police said he also admitted to bringing the table inside his home for sex. Price faces four counts of public indecency. He was freed after posting $20,000 bond, authorities said. http://www.nbc10.com/news/15734256/detail.html
