As an attorney...I can reasonably say that is an unusual name for an attorney. I wonder if he changed his name to that. Further, I would not take that case as morivational "statements" in the gym are not always proper but they have a reason. If I sued every coach that ever said "move your lazy ass" I would be rich. The text message could sink LA fitness' ship, but we will see.

I just bought a 60" LG plasma 3d tv. It is incredible and was only $1200. The picture on the plasma destroys led tvs. There is no "smear" watching football. It is 600htz so the refresh rate is fabulous. The 3d movies are awesome. It was well worth the money. I have 4 pairs of glasses. My kids stand in front of the tv and try to grab the images.

Some peoples lack of knowledge is amazing.  Saying 440 horsepower and 520 ft/lbs of torque at the rear wheels is a fail is absolutely retarded. You should assume 33% power loss through the drivetrain.  So, 585 horsepower and 690 ft/lbs at the flywheel is just plain sick!

That's kind of harsh....
I agree with what the NFL is doing, I just think it should apply to everyone not just key players.
All this would do for me is key in on Brady and Manning to send a point...

Defense don't play at half speed but they can get the job done without trying to hurt someone...that hit on Fitzpatrick was clearly helmet to helmet and Harrison just isn't getting it..

It's a tough sport...I played in high school and overseas as a RB and after every game the next day I would be in pain and aching...

Helmet to Helmet?Huh  What game were you watching.  He didn't hit Fitzpatrick anywhere near his helmet.  He hit him square in the chest!

It is getting ridiculous that anytime a QB gets hit hard a flag is thrown.  The hit Harrison put on Fitzpatrick was a text book hit.  Also, he hit him as the ball was being released.  The hit he put on Jason Campbell was also perfect.  Right when he released the ball.  Just think what would have happened during the eras of Dick Butkus, Jack Lambert, Lawrence Taylor and Bruce Smith/Reggie White.  Those guys would have been fined to the point where they would be paying the NFL to play on Sundays.  It is out of control.

Well...after a two year lay off it is time to hit the weights again. led to such a long break.  I was 6'2" and I am down to 195.  Any advice other than just grin and bear the pain?  I will post pics every month to track progress.  I guess that is the best way to stay motivated.

It is really hard to determine what your goals are based on all of the posts in this thread.  If you are a "hardgainer", which it appears you are, you need to up your calories tremendously.  1200 a day is good for a child...not someone trying to compete in power lifting.  I am a hardgainer and have been one my entire life.  I started lifting at 18 years old at 6'2" and 145lbs.  I played basketball and was alsways told muscle was not good for the game.  Speaking from my experience of 15 years of lifting, more is not better when you are a hardgainer.  The best routine for me, for adding size and strength, centered around three workouts a week.  Chest and tris are trained together...chest first.  The second workout is back and bis...back first.  Final workout is legs and shoulders.  The added rest of four days per week really lets the muscles heal.  240 had good advice when he advocated dips.  They will build and strech your chest.  Plus, they are an excellent transition into working tris.  My split is as follows

With this type of have your compound movements all accounted for.  That is extremely important for a hardgainer.  I try to eat at least 4 food meals a day.  That is different then supplements.  Remember...supplements are used to supplement your diet.  They should not make up your entire diet.  Also...I believe milk should be a big part of any hardgainer's diet.

I went from a high of 220 lbs down to 185 right now.  I have not trained regularly for about 15 months.  Marriage, new house, new son, busy at work all led to training taking a back seat.  I look like a different person from the neck down.  The base is still there, and muscle memory will hopefully aid in some quick weight gain when I get back in the gym.  I am a lifetime natty at 6'2" tall.  Look at a pro.  We have never seen pics of Tom Prince at his natural peak.  Therefore, we have nothing to compare with his current pics.  Clearly, he is not training at all.  He went to the absolute max when he was on the sauce.  So the deflation from the max drug induced body to a non-training natty is no surprise.

That is a good question.
I believe there are two different types of alcoholics.  Daily drinkers and binge drinkers.  Some alcoholics drink all day long, every day, of every week.  Then there are the classic binge drinkers.  They power down as much as they can on a Friday and Saturday night.  I don't think the classic binge drinker is seen as an alcoholic by the general public.  Alcoholism is an addiction.  Binge drinkers are addicted to getting drunk in a social setting.  I do think that is a form of alcoholism.

The science is quite simple.  Just reverse engineer the "pro physique".  The natural body does not produce enough amounts of testosterone, growth hormone etc.  Further, anabolic steriods are used for recovery purposes and to aid the bodys ability to assimilate protein.  Steriods alone do not increase muscle mass.  However, steriods, along with exercise and plenty of quality food, enable the body to produce more muscle mass.  It's like the old saying "eat, sleep, train".  The natural human body can only do that so much before it becomes burned out and overtrained.  Steriods and hgh allow the body to recover much quicker, thereby eliminating the possibility of overtraining.

Just like any other career, law has its ups and downs.  I have been an attorney for 7 years.  I did my 4 years of undergrad and went straight to law school for 3 more years.  You can make money in the legal profession and work 9 to 5 monday through friday.  The miserable lawyers are the ones that carry the "partners" briefcase and do all of the research.  I am in Court every day.  I like advocating on behalf of my client.  It is an adreniline rush.  I would recommend it to anyone.  But like in any other profession, it is better to be your own boss.

Lets take a good look at the game:

The Steelers played excellent in the 1st quarter.  The cardinals played excellent in the 2nd quarter except for Warner's interception.  Steelers lead 17-7 at halftime.

The Steelers played excellent Defense in the 1st and 3rd quarters.  The cardinals played good Defense in the 2nd quarter.  Cardinals played ok Defense in the 3rd quarter.  The three personal fouls penalties-Roughing the passer was a bad call.  Facemask-dumb penalty on the cardinals and correct call.  Roughing the holder-dumb penalty on the cardinals and correct call.  Steelers lead 20-7.

4th Quarter-Excellent offense by Cardinals.  Bad Defense by Steelers.  Dumb penalties on Steelers.  Personal foul on Harrison-dumb  Holding on Hartwig-dumb penalty.  2:30 remaining Cardinals 23-20.  Last 2:30 Excellent Offense by Steelers, bad Defense by Cardinals.  Another dumb penalty on the Steelers-holding-1st and 20 from the 12 yard line.  Ben marches down the field-touchdown 27-23 Steelers. 

It was a great game.  Cardinals Offense was unstoppable in the 4th quarter.  Warner was fantastic in the 4th quarter.  Roethlisberger was Fantastic in the 1st and 4th Quarter.  All in all the best Superbowl I can remember.  Refs did not decide the outcome of the game.  The game was not fixed.  They were no penalties called against the cardinals during the steelers final drive.  The penalties were called against the Steelers.  Personal Foul put the ball on the 1/2 yard line.  Holding in the endzone gives the Cardinals 2 points AND possession at the 36 yard line.  Touchdown on the next play to Fitz.  Cardinals kick off.  Holding against the Steelers on the 1st play.  Puts them back on the 12 yard line.  Steelers drive down the field.  Roethlisberger avoids the rush on at least 3 pass plays. 

People who say the fix was in are ridiculous.  If so---Warner's fumble is not overturned.  Ben's touchdown in the 1st quarter, not overturned.  They called a fair game.

I deadlifted a three whelled pickup truck in Florence italy.  I was in law school and lifted constantly.  I weighed about 225lbs and that was considered huge when being compared to the realitively small italian men.  All drunk walking down the street and my buddy dared me to try.  I picked up the rear of the truck at the bumper.  The front wheel truned and the truck rolled onto its side.  It was hiarious! Ooops
