Abstract: According to a new study from the University of California, San Francisco, women are far more likely than men to be infected by an HIV-positive heterosexual partner. Nancy Padian, the study's lead investigator, noted in the current issue of the American Journal of Epidemiology that women were approximately eight times more likely than men to become infected by an HIV-positive partner. The researchers estimated that male-to-female unprotected heterosexual intercourse results in about nine infections to every 10,000 unprotected sexual encounters, while female-to-male transmission rates are even lower.
From a different study:
"For regular partners who were active in anal sex, the risk for transmission was 1 in 10. The risk for the insertive partner (the "top") is believed to be about 10 times less than for the receptive partner (the "bottom"). Another study showed 1 in 50 for receptive anal intercourse. [I assume here it is not considering 'regular activity' but a general risk]
The risk of HIV infection during vaginal intercourse is believed to be much less. One estimate was 1 in 200,000 for transmission from infected women to men and 1 in 100,000 for transmission from infected men to women"

I did general blood tests so Ill go pick everything up at once, this is really making me very anxious, and I am not a good stressed individual.
I have never fucked a man, I think Im not gay, anyhow, thats sort of comforting..and no, I dont inject shit into my body because I absolutely despise needles, yes, I am a 10 year old kid.

If it makes you feel any better, the chances of a male contracting HIV from a single act of insertive penile-vaginal sex is roughly 1 in 2000...and that is assuming that the woman is HIV+.

My bail was 4000 bucks. I got that back but had to hire 2 attorneys to plead with the district attorney to bring the case forward so I could go home and defend my position with the company I worked for. So I was left with no bail money 'cos the attorneys cost about 1k each and then I had to pay my own hotel expenses, etc. cos company cut me off. I also got an 8 day jail sentence (I had credit for serving most of that so they let me off) and then I got a 500 fine and had to pay for the door (like 300).
So all in all, it cost me about 7000 bucks but I got off with just a misdemeanour instead of a felony so I can still re-enter America, so it was worth it. I also lost my job but I got a new one pretty quickly with better money.
Sucks about the money but it's better than being locked up. You Irish sure know how to drink!

Well, let me explain. I was very, very drunk and thought some of the people from the party had went next door and when I knocked, that they were partying but wouldn't let me in. So when I did kick in the door I just remember walking straight into their living room with them all screaming and one dude apparently had a big kitchen knife out saying he was gonna use it. That's when the cops came. Apparently. It was a moment of madness, I was just lucky as fuck I wasn't shot by the houseowners 'cos in Texas that happens all the damn time.
So what ended up happening? Did you get off with a slap on the wrist?

Is anyone here familiar with Bell's Theorem and the concept of nonlocality (electrons being able to communicate with each other simultaneously)? I've been reading about it and it is driving me crazy because it just doesn't seem possible (I understand the results of the experiment, just not how this could be so). I figured most of the experts here on Getbig would have a good explanation.
