2  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Lee Haney still looking strong & lean on: November 29, 2013, 06:14:59 AM
I don't agree. Mr Olympias should still be way bigger than the average musclehead even in old age. How can those guys walk around looking so small?

LOL. Like he is small. Guy maybe looks small with his shirt on but you can clearly see that is he quite shredded and still very muscular. Most guys whish they were that small

Instead of some CEO making 30 mill a year why not cut his check to 25 mill a year and give everyone a raise. Its what happened to hostess

The CEO is offcourse worth every penny of his salary....  Roll Eyes

Isn't Detroit a perfect example of what happens when you artificially inflate wages?  Huh

You create a bubble that has to be deflated or pop.

It's great for a while though, and the politicians look like saints.

The American auto industry ("Detroit") did not collapsed because of ' high'  wages, it collapsed because they failed to invest in better and economically efficient cars.

High wages does not mean a damn thing, unit labour costs is the key paramater. On average the wage of a Chinese employee is still a fraction of his Japanese counterpart, however cost per unit is still lower in Japan for certain goods.

Furthermore, if wages go up people can spend more... Why do you think Henry Ford paid his workers relatively high salaries and thus creating it's own demand.
6  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Fuck'n Hell America really is the bad guys on: August 31, 2013, 08:01:52 AM
Little known war fact - in the fight between Germany and Britain, it was Britain who initiated the bombing of civilian cities in WWII.  Germany had refrained from bombing British cities until Britain started it.

The British also invented the concentration camps to 'lock up' the 'Boers' in the South African war. Unfortunately this inspired the Nazi who perfected this.
7  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Fuck'n Hell America really is the bad guys on: August 31, 2013, 08:00:21 AM
This is the justification / propaganda commonly put out.  It's been said that Japan was trying to make contact to surrender, but the bombs were dropped anyway, as it was determined that they (U.S), needed to see the real world effects of the atomic bomb, which is why those cities were specifically selected.  Regardless, it was wrong, period. People forget that it was a civilian population that got bombed.   People would not condone it if it were their civilian population to get vaporized, but when it's another countries, it's ok.  Nationalism and patriotism makes a populace indifferent towards other cultures, which makes atrocities committed against those populations more palatable.

It's ironic that history in many respects just keeps repeating itself, but people fail to see through the false veneer of righteousness that gets peddled, depending on who the perpetrators are.  Hitler and the Nazis are considered tyrants for invading Europe decades ago, but when the U.S invades countries and destroys them, as in the case of Iraq and Libya, it's about freedom and democracy.  It's incredulous that there is a large percentage of people out there that buy into such grade school level propaganda, but it doesn't help when the corporate media sells it so hard.

agreed 100% Another fine example is the relentless bombing of German and Japanese cities, killing numerous civilians.

So the US will attack Syria and what are the goals....

It's quite sad that the minimum wage is too low in the US.

It's quite sad that the most of the wealth in the US is hold by only a fraction of the population.

It's quite sad that corporations that a bigger slice of the GDP compared to thirty years ago.

It's even more sad that people who are not extremely wealthy defend the tactics of the extremely wealthy.
9  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: George Zimmerman - Not Guilty Verdict! on: July 23, 2013, 01:12:55 PM
lol. I quit voting during my military service. Voting just gives us the illusion of choice, but nothing ever changes, regardless of who is voted ib. Look no further than bush and obama, 2 polar opposites, with Pbama swearing he was going tp change things. Amd what happened? 3xactly yhe same shit bush was doing. obama just kept going with the same policoes he railed against to get elected. Different president, same result.

Your vote means nothing other than to make you think you have a say in things, but the reality is you dont. It wasnt always this way, but it is the way it is now.

I understand what your are saying. But be honest, do you need weapons to protect yourself against the US government? Whom constitutes the US government? Politicians, civil servants, teachers?
10  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: George Zimmerman - Not Guilty Verdict! on: July 23, 2013, 01:11:33 PM
LMAO what a childish & naive comment

It is realistic comment. Not some stupid comment that one needs weapons to protect themselves against the US government. That is why guys like Zimmerman carry weapons. I mean you never know when you need to shoot somebody from the US government....

11  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: George Zimmerman - Not Guilty Verdict! on: July 23, 2013, 12:50:55 PM
No, it's the Citizens protection against the Government. Not the indians.

"When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."

A last resort to protect themselves against tyranny in government. I hope you are not serious. If you do not like the government, you can use the most powerful weapon there is: your vote!
12  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: George Zimmerman - Not Guilty Verdict! on: July 21, 2013, 02:38:48 PM
the ghey is strong with this one

Americans still believe that some crazy Indian will come and burn their house down? If not, then there is no logical explanation for your stupid weapons laws
13  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: George Zimmerman - Not Guilty Verdict! on: July 21, 2013, 02:36:57 PM
people will want guns more now. Because they see this as a case where a person saved their skin by using a gun. And the fear this case created in people's minds regarding race riots. everyone with stores ect... and homes will all want guns now even more to protect themselves and their property.

So basically this is good for the stokes of weapon manufacturing companies.
14  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: George Zimmerman - Not Guilty Verdict! on: July 16, 2013, 02:45:30 PM
What I do not understand is the following. Why don't Americans protest against your stupid laws that enable that every moron can own weapons. I mean common. The Second Amendment was written in a time where Indians were around. And do not give me that bullshit that everyone should be able to defend themselves. You got a police force for that.
15  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Ronnie Coleman - in his prime, could someone defeat him in an MMA fight? on: March 31, 2013, 11:51:26 PM
there is a huge difference between fighting in the ring and fighting outside the ring.

Just look at Bob Sapp, no skills but powerfull. In the ring there are rules, in the real world you should be worried that he would smash you into the ground and would kick you into the hospital. No BJJ skills will help you if you are lying on the ground and someone with his weight would jump at you and use his weight. And even in the ring Bob destroyed some highly skilled fighters.

Boxing same deal. In the ring he would be destroyed, in the real world they are enough boxers who get their ass kicked if somebody grabs them and throws them into the ground.

In the ring they are enough fighters would who defeat Ronnie in his prime. Outside the ring, if you are a smart fighter you will try to avoid fighting a guy like Ronnie. (BTW a smart fighter always tries to avoid fighting outside the ring).

That's damn right. Socialism is gone and wasn't that what "you" wanted  Huh
No different from USA; some people are the richest in the world and next door you have guys living on street.
It's more that whatever Russians do, it's wrong.
Like Russians punishing islamist terrorists and everyone's barking but Americans can openly torture them in secret prisons  Roll Eyes

BTw, it's not right anymore to consider them all the original 90's oligarchs. Small part of them are those guys.
And Russia's rise to largest car market in Europe indicates that more and more "normal people" are beginning to reach reasonable living standards.
It's not the billionaires buying those BMw's MB's Volkswagen's Toyota's etc.  Grin

Sochi  Cool

It's not right to expect Russia to turn 'normal' in 10 years. Middle class takes time to build.

I agree that it takes time to build a middle class. However building a middle class requires that certain conditions are met: good law system, better political system, good educational system, organized markets. These conditions are not yet met.

21  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Random pics on: February 08, 2013, 05:57:37 AM

Russians have bigger private yachts than warships of most countries HAHAHAHA  Grin  Cool

LOL at russion billionaries. Sure those guys are loaded. But how did they get their money... Reminds of the US billionaires in the 19th century.

Most people in Russia do not have shit to spend but some guys can buy yachts the size of warships.

I have to be honest, he seems to making some progress. He is still moving quite akward and slow. But give the guy some time.
23  Getbig Main Boards / General Topics / Re: Europe -- It seems gemany is winning this debt war, even if lost ww1+2 to usa on: December 10, 2012, 12:45:04 AM
lol, germany decomated russia.yeah right, there was never any german flag on moscow, but the russians made berlin their bitch.

remember the wall,  Grin

stalingrad, does that sound familiar? Cheesy

as for the debt, well, if you think germany is winning, think again, maybe go to germany and have a look, ppl are working 2jobs and poorly paid, have to pay alot of taxes, whoever can,is fleeing to switzerland.

and when the others go bankrupt, who will buy the german export goods?and with what

btw debt isnt necesarly a bad thing, debt is the money in circulation.someones debt is some other ones wealth.

Russians made Berlin their bitch... Lol, at what cost? Do you have any idea how many soldiers the USSR lost at the battle of Berlin? Why do you think that the Western Allies were grateful that the Russians attacked Berlin?

Russia defeated Germany alright (with the help of american supplies), But the price was sky high.

1% tax increase for 500k per year earner. How will they survive?

They will not. I hope that the tea party will organize demonstrations. Clearly, this is a communist plan.
25  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Where Do You Stand? With the Rich or Middle Class? on: December 03, 2012, 02:49:10 PM
And what do the poor have in the US?  Well, let's see:

- A home, thanks to subsidized housing provided by the government
- A car, and/or access to transportation
- Access to educational opportunities
- Food...obesity is an epidemic amongst ALL one has died from starvation in the US in recent memory
- Medical get sick, you can go to a hospital and get treated.....broke or not, insured or not.
- Employment.  There is ALWAYS work to be had.  Unemployment is the option of choice for the lazy or the proud or the gravely ill.

Being poor is a direct consequence of inadequate education and/or vocational skills.  Why care who is rich and what percentage are rich?  What are exactly these roadblocks that supposedly exist that keep millions of American in squalor?  Give me a valid reason as to how or why any person in America are unable to obtain all of the above?  Who exactly stands in the way?

" Why care who is richt and what percentage are rich"

In a perfect world that would not be of importance. However, if only the rich profit from the economic growth then something is wrong.

Access to education? I never knew that Yale was for free Smiley
