one calorie = one calorie
I took thermodynamics at McGill University (Canada's Harvard) and TA is right about first and second laws of thermodynamics, but the problem is 300 calories from an organic fruit salad does not equal 300 calories from pizza or cheeseburgers. Although "fat foods" contain a variety of vitamins, minerals and nutrients that are requirements for the human body, they do not contain enough of them, while providing bad cholesterol.
TA says a lot of things that people want to argue: "you can get cut on Mcdonalds, and ice cream, with no cardio" "1 calorie = 1 calorie" "People eat too much"
What people dont understand is that he is right you can get cut on fast food, but the issue is you can't get full on real fast food (not low-cal fast food) and get cut.
If you eat fast food, you have to have smaller meals of it and get hungry randomly throughout the day
TA claims that his diet is easier to follow because you get to eat everyday food but wouldnt it make more sense to eat cleaner foods with the same calories and higher protein levels w/ less bad cholesterol?
Just another scientific approach...

Fucking Protein powder, chicken breasts and rice.
I overate like a pig on purpose. My fault. What a waste.
TA, dont you think that if you ate clean (chicken, protein, rice) that you would have even better results than the ones you have now on your junk food diet? I just think its a bit restrictive to eat according to calories and GI index. Although, I actually believe that your methods do work, I wonder if it is the best, because I think one of the main benefits of weight training was to raise metabolism high enough so that one can eat whatever they want and a lot of it. I think the main problem with your principles is that most people cannot truly get full on rich tasty food (which might contain high fat content) while experiencing a caloric deficit.

rccs, do you think protein absorbsion is more prevalent after a long high volume workout or after a short explosive workout with low reps. Although more muscle tissue is torn with heavier weights, blood flow is greater after volume workouts due to increased heart rate.
What do you guys think on the subject?

Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Training Q&A / HIT and cardio
|
on: December 25, 2006, 12:02:17 AM

I train HIT style for my heavy days and High Volume for my "light" days. I dont really go light but just lighter than normal to get that nice burn and pump. I also do 30 mins of post-workout cardio 3times/week to stay lean I was wondering if the HIT style of training requires a certain amount of cardio or if the workouts are supposed to be so brutal that no cardio is needed
I read Arthur Jones' Colorado Experiment w/ Caisey Viator and Casey said he would go through AJ's workouts 3 times a week and eat greasy food and still get lean. Is this true?
I also never heard of Mentzer and cardio
Is it just me or did it seem like the pros from the 70s/80s didnt have to do cardio to get ripped even though they took a lot less drugs than todays pros.
It must all be about training.
What's your opinions on these issues?

Mr. O
20 blacks 20 whites 1 arab --> Samir in 83
In my opinion, this doesnt show which race is the best at bodybuilding It only shows who the best built man was on a specific day on a specific ifbb stage
Ronnie at the 99 british grand prix Gunther at the 2002 SOS etc
Also a group of men can never represent a whole race for every ronnie or sergio, there's a beetlejuice and gary coleman and to assume the whole white race has the potential to look like Arnold is stupid
BTW the man with the most genetic gifts is Sergio Oliva no doubt He is the most complete bodybuilder EVER no lacking body parts his only flaws can be associated with his era: smaller legs (everyone had smaller legs in the 60s 70s) conditioning (not anywhere close to todays drugs and he was still on par with his peers) drugs were also primitive

Maybe you have NEVER been to a show or met Toney - becuase then you would understand... Here I am done with the crack pipe - your turn to smoke.

no i haven't, i've only taken it with whey but i find most of the creatine is left at the bottom of the blender anyways. Milos, What is Vitargo and what does it do? My breakfast shake is sometimes creatine, whey protein with half milk and half black coffee. I take this and i stay amped the whole workout. What do you think?

How do you guys dissolve creatine? I've mixed it with water, grape and other fruit juices, as wells as put it into my protein shakes but the creatine drink always stays sandy. I've mixed it with warm water and it seems to work a bit but is there another way?
thanks

Who do you guys think looks better in this pic? I think Sergio is totally owning Arnold in this one Sergio's arms, quads, calves and forearms are bigger and his waist is smaller plus Arnold is twisting to reduce his 34 inch waist.

i just read this whole thread and even listened to radio show with Milos.
First things first, I have gained a lot of respect for Milos.
Milos, you sound very intelligent in your posts and you express yourself in a professional manner. you also seem very knowledgeable about bodybuilding.
People come to this site because they have an interest in bodybuilding I think its great that people on this site gets to interact with pros. Pros are the people that a lot of us look up to. If not for them, we wouldnt even know that having a muscular aesthetic physique looks good. There are not many other "Sports" where fans get to communicate with pros. When was the last time anyone spoke to Alex Rodriguez or Jim Thome on a forum.
As far as Shawn Ray is concerned, there is no doubt that he was one hell of a competitor back in the day, but he comes off as such an idiot and a child. At least Milos' posts have substance.
If Milos is accurate about Shawn Ray talking to DEA about false info, then SR is in fact the lowest form of life there is. Shawn, you try to sound all gangsta in your posts. Next time you gonna keep it real, just think what people IN DA HOOD think of RATS. A real man doesnt rat out another man. Especially if they are giving out false info that ends up costing others thousands.
Shawn, you were always a giant on stage. you should have let you physique speak for itself Its when you open your mouth that you show what a midget you are

The guy is HUGE with a huge bone structure. He just isn't low body fat and his muscle shape isn't the best.
just my honest opinion, but if your not really genetically predisposed to bodybuilding, why bother doing it at all. What's the point of reaching your potential to just realize it wasn't worth it.

I don't know, I don't believe in measuring bodyfat %...Why?
you sound as if you're a guy that is kinda of big but who has a thick layer of fat that he can't lose. am i right? by the way, "I don't believe in measuring bodyfat %" dont say that, that's what fatties say if you're under 10% you respond I would bet money you're over 25% though
