Door to door crackhead
« on: October 18, 2006, 06:18:37 PM »
This young male, obviously withdrawing from drugs, worn and tired, came to our door.  He claimed he was buying children's books for local charities  ::)

it was pretty transparant...

We gave him five bucks with a sorry it couldn't be more.

However.  I think it's wonderful that he's bothinring to come up with a scam, and piece together money door by door, rather than breaking into houses.  I'd hate for my car to be broken into, or come home to a shattered window.  I knew it was a scam, and the money was going to drugs, but I was so glad that he's not breaking into houses that we gave token cash.  He gets a real nice fix, and no one suffers a break in. By the end of the night, he should be all set, and can work on the next fix in a new area

worked for me  ;)

Yeah that's all good until he needs another fix. And remembers that your the good ol guy with the nice house and warm heart that gave him money earlier... And then he comes back...... Better get your gun and tree stand and shoot that f*cking tweeker the next time you see his scrawny ass. J/K but i would think if he couldnt get a fix he would remember your place the guys on drugs...

You had a crackhead ringing your doorbell? What part of Massachusetts do you live in? Are you in Chelsea?

That's a new one.  Man those crackheads will do anything for $$$ for drugs.  Put up a No Solication sign.  If He still has the nerve to ring just point to the sign and have a nice stack of Jehovah Witness testimonial cards.  I save the cards for the same thing.  Give him 1 and start blabbering on how Jehovah is great and the world is comming to an end.  He won't be back.

med,

you enabled this POS junkie to continue his ways.  If you and every other person on your block had slammed the door and called the police to mention the panhandler, he would have been either in jail, in rehab, or sent home at the end of the day.  Instead he has 5 bucks from you and 20 suckers just like you, with enough rock to get him through the night.

You're appeasing him - hoping that the pittance you share will keep your car/house safe.  You know what they say about feeding stray cats, dont ya?
