Combination of things = Combination of agendas and opinions on freedom of speech and so forth.

There is definitely a level of contradictory opinion over there and clearly you're being diplomatic with your coleagues by not freely expressing it. 

You could say getbig is ambient.. and MD Boards are ambivalent

If I were you I'd request my own board/section.  At least there you can try to encourage the type of free speaking atmosphere you get here.
