whatever happened to Joe Deangelis

Does anyone know whatever happened to him?   He had a pretty rugged look to him.   Never made it to pro.   I know he had a contract with Universal for a long time

Last I heard, he had retired, and bought a tanning salon somewhere in LA. I remember seeing Cormier in MMI tanning there (at least at the place after he'd tanned).
