Just saw the replay of Greg Valvolino on Tyra Banks show
« on: November 09, 2006, 09:28:09 PM »
He said he had the, "world's largest biceps"  and that "he earned these"

Tyra did a voice over saying that his look is the result of "hardcore steriod use"

I turned that mess off. I can't believe the public (and Tyra) buys his act. Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler have been busting their ass in the gym, but they give air time to this fool.

Damn lair, he comes off as if his steriod use (and synthol abuse) is the result of his "small man's complex". Trying to make the audeince feel sorry for him.

The public only wants to hear about the bad side of bodybuilding.  Gregg reflects all of it.  On the show they also said he was king of the bodybuilding world.

I'm sure someone tipped them that....

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm

Well, they couldn't very well get Ronnie or Jay on that show. They'd have to subtitle Ronnie or have a translator or something, and somehow keep the audience awake for Jay. Hmmm, I can see it now....

Ronnie: "Ain't nuttin' but a peanut!"

Translator: "What Mr. Coleman is trying to express is how happy he is to be here today and he's a big fan of the show."

Ronnie: "Light weight!"

Translator: "It's been a gruelling 20-something years of training to reach these upper echelons of this fine sport, and having lost the title have every intention of getting it back and set the record of 9 Olympia wins beating out Lee Haney who won from 1984 to 1991. I would also like to state for the record that I am greater than Dorian Yates ever was having won twice more than him and now I have every intention of making it three"

I think if you sat Ronnie down with Tyra on a one on one format it would be different. Most of what we see of Ronnie is when he is training, or answering hype questions. If any of us were put in the same situation we would probably have the same responses with our  own catch-phrases.

If Tyra or Oprah were to ask Ronnie, "What inspires you" or  "Tell us about your years at Grambling State", chances are he not going to lean over and let out a "silent but deadly" and start laughing, but he would answer in intelligent manner (albeit with a thick Southern drawl)

Have you not heard him give an interview at the Olympia or anything? The man talks the same lingo 24/7.
