Maybe if they stopped complaining about the man puttin em down, stopped havin kids without the financial means, and got jobs they could buy 40 acres and a mule and then the wait would be over.

Well if they do i figure i' entitled to something as well. I'm half Irish and half Italian. The Brits did a number on my people..they tried to kill all of us in the great potatoe famine. And while i can't trace anybody from my family dying i'm sure they did. The Brits owe me mass cash..so they better pay up.

The short answer is no.

Slavery must have really sucked ass (er, unless you were an owner in which case it would be pretty sweet!!) but if we were to compensate them we would have to do shit for the Indians, the Irish(many of whom came here as indentured servants), the Japs who were camp'd in WWII, the many Chinese who died building our railroads.

Furthermore, black people would have to then pay white people reparations for (overall) being leeches on our society for the past 150 someodd years. Then to put things back to status quo, we should really make them use their reparation $$ to pay for a ticket back to Africa because white people would have never wanted them(and by them I mean the blacks dull enough to be enslaved, not the more astute blacks who enslaved them) here if it wasn't to pick cotton.

The fact that they even bring up compensation shows you that they're not interested in progress, but rather whining and bitching. And another thing, the descendants of slaves actually have a much higher standard of living than any native African.
