What exactly do u want to know...fired eveything from a .22 to an MIA1 120mm smooth bore. U should be able to get plenty of after market stuff for the SKS. There is a guy in Las Vegas that specializes in AK's and SKS after market and conversion parts.

SKS's are nice to own and you can find a ton of websites to dress them up (cheaperthandirt.com,gunbroker.com,Galaniti.com,Firestorm.com,ect) but your kind of limited to the type you have and if you live in the usa what state and state laws. In California, if you put more then a ten round clip on anything its a felony.Be aware of what the laws are and you can find some good stuff cheap. What you really are going to want is to expland your collection. Get some sort of AK knock of (sar-1) from romania, they have so many add on's you can almost put it in the M-16/Ar-15 catagory. Then last pick up a Krinkov (its the shortend pistol version of the AK) all the slips on the AK and Krin can interchange as well as most 75 round drums. You can find some nice mags and supplies pretty cheap. The hard part is getting ammo. Currently if you check websites and call around 7.62x39 is very hard to get and (due to the current middle easy usage) getting harder. Wolf industries is the main supplier and if you can find 500 and 1000 round blocks grab as many as you can afford.Firestorm also has a add on replica 240mm grenade launcher that you can attach to shoot flairs such. Its like a new toy there is really allot you can do.

Oh and adding a scope to a SKS is fine but the problem is accuracy. Most SKS's are shitty after 400 yards so if you going to do any long range stuff buy a bolt action 308 and a nice scope (leaupold) both will set you back about a grand each but you will get 1' MOA.

Good luck and don't shoot yourself..:)

cool I will check those sites out. I dont think that I am going to get an expenive scope because of the lack of long range accuracy. any other reccomendations for a long range rifle other than a .308

Depends on what you plan to do with it. If you just buying to have you can always trust remington or winchester and they won't break the bank. If your hunting depends on game size. .223 for small game or depending you can go lower (squirrles, prairie dogs, ect) if you going deer depends on where your shooting (trees and foliage you might want a round with more weight at short distances or if your in the open or have long shots you can go for something with better distance FPS). If you just want to own invest in a good 12 gauge that can take down flying game and double for home defense.

Guns are for cowards. If you want to go and kill an animal for pleasure, use your fists - then you'll see if you're still at the top of the food chain.

Honestly I think the SKS is one of the least favored and more lousy guns ever made.  Go with a Saiga.

Ha I would kick a rabbits ass... ;D I agree if you are killing just to show your tough its sad but if you hunt for food to support your family or stop preditors from killing live stock then fine. That being said there is only so much sport in killing something without a gun that can shoot back so I always arm my victims and give them a 10 min head start... ;D

That's what Chuck Norris would do.
