You can carry a concealed firearm in MA if you are a registered class A. Most guys I know who have handguns bring them everywhere they go. I do not think I could own a handgun. I would be worried I would do something stupid.

I know you can get a permit to carry in Mass. but I think its really hard to get like in New York. In Connecticut its easy to get a permit which I have had since college. But I never even bothered trying in New York even though its my main residence.

Recently got a permit.  I own my first handgun a nickle plated SnW .357 magnum revolver.  Old reliable, never jams nice home protection and target pistol.  A 12 gauge side by side.  50 years old, but in perfect condition and a .380 beretta with a Pancake holster, for closing up at night.  It's a crazy world and a gas station just up the street was robed at gun point just last month.  Like the old sane goes, "I'd rather have a gun and not need one than need one and not have one".  Pretty soon you won't be able to own one, IMO, so get em while you can.  America

They do a serious back grown check in RI, so it would be tough for a nut to be legally packing, although allot are illegally.  Most shootings are gang related and most by kids with illegal guns.  They have at least a shooting a night in Providence.  Cops and prison guards make up many of my customers so I get info right from the horses mouth.
