Especially that c*nt Nancy Grace who was showing images of abused, vicious / fighting pits during the report.  I wonder if Grace will apologize or air the real story? I wonder why they aired those images when the culprit was supposedly 6 weeks old? I am writing that skunt a letter. BENTON, La. - A woman jailed after four of her infant daughter's toes were gnawed off says the family's pet ferret did it, not their pit bull pup as police had said.

But her husband blames the dog, a city official said.

"The way the bite marks were on her foot, the ferret being out of its cage, I knew it wasn't the dog," Mary Hansche told KTBS-TV on Tuesday.

The month-old girl was injured Dec. 10 as Hansche, 22, and her husband, Christopher Hansche, 26, slept; they woke up when they heard her crying. The parents were jailed in lieu of $50,000 bond each, booked with child desertion and criminal negligence.

The husband had blamed the dog and told police the ferret had been in its cage all night, Bossier City spokesman Mark Natale said Wednesday.

The charges wouldn't change regardless of which pet was involved, Natale said, because the baby "was injured by an animal while in the custody of the parents." The girl has been released from the hospital and is in state custody.

Attorney Pam Smart said she is waiting for results of a hair analysis to back up the couple's statement that they were not using drugs, calling the case a "very unfortunate accident."

The thing is 6 weeks old. I was pissed of about the way the media portrayed this puppy. They did it for shock value. They did not even know the facts!


I have no problem with ferrets, nor am I trying to say they are more dangerous then pits. I do not agree with scum owning pits who turn them into weapons just like everyone else. Ruins it for  the millions of people (including me) who have a perfectly normal bully k9.

I never said they could not. But so cant Mastiffs, so can't German Shepard's etc etc. If you where to be attacked by a 200 lb St Bernard you would be in serious trouble. People do not calls for bans against these breeds because they are cute. Trust me they are dangerous if they want to be. Extremely protective and Territorial if not socialzed correctly. A 60 lb pit can do massive damage. But, a 200 lb Bernard can kill you with MUCH less effort. I never claim pits cannot be dangerous. I always stress how important it is to raise any dominant breed accordingly. It is not the apbt's fault it is the new tough guy toy. Before there was a "pitbull problem",  there was a rottweiler problem. Now no one cares about rots. Soon it will be another breed. But, I am not delusional. Something needs to be done about the type of people who are turning this animals into weapons. I do not blame the breed. I blame the people who use the breed for evil. A pitbull does not naturally have aggression towards humans. It is actually the opposite. When bred they where specifically bred to be loyal and tolerant of there masters ( humans) so they would not maul the pit fighters when they broke a fight. I have never seen a more loyal and gentle dog with humans. Ob all this goes out the window if you have some spaz feeding the pit gun powder, teaching him to fight,inbreeding them in backyards,encouraging aggression towards humans, abusing him and not taking the correct steps to socialize him. How many pitbull stories do you hear where the owner was not negligent? Was just sitting there with there perfectly raised pit and it just went berserk?  You aren't going to find one.

The point of this thread was to bring light to the fact that when Grace reported the story she showed images of violent, fighting pits. The most extreme cases. They where reporting on a 6 week old puppy. About 10 lbs. They where reporting on a story told by two unfit parents. They did not even know if the story was true! Why would they show those images when speaking of a tiny puppy? Ob the parents where to blame either way. Why didn't they show images of parents neglecting there kids? If they are going to show abused, fighting, viscous pitbulls (when talking about a 6 week old puppy), they should show some parents shooting dope and leaving there infant in the stove. That will get the same shock factor, no?
