Great debate over the cost of adventure rescues...Fat Rosie O'Donnell is on the common sense side this time.
The situation a few weeks ago involving the Kim family was a real tragedy. One can wonder why they didn't drive further down the mountain (father thought they'd run out of gas before reaching safety), but they did nothing wrong. They got lost.
But with the 3 Mt. Hood climbers, we're talking about individuals who deliberately went onto the mountain with inadequate supplies. I know that accidents can happen to anyone at anytime, but this latest tragedy was avoidable.
Should the families be required to pay any of the expense?
