True story. They gave a guy I work with the wrong amount one time during an injection and he literally was given his last rites.

What are you allergic to?

I've developed hayfever in the last couple of years and it makes May to mid-July a right shit time of year. But, this year I gave up dairy products during the summer and the worst symptom i got was a slight sniffle. :)

I've also started sneezing when my girlfriend's longhaired cat is around. I think I may end having to live in a bubble by the time i hit thirty.

Is that the test they do to your arm? That shit sucks. I am allergic to grass, polin and dust. I mow the lawn all the time and never feel weird. These docs where quacks!

The shot works. It is inexpensive, especially if you have medical insurance. No side affects. If you have alot of allergies and sinus pain you can also use Tylenol Sinus. This time of the year, being cold and all, your allergies will really act up on you, if you have bad allergies. I got some really bad sinus pain in my head and behind my eyes almost to the point of passing out from sinus congestion. I took Tylenol Sinus and it really helped.

I took one allergy shot a week for 7 or 8 years.  I still have allergies, but they are not nearly as bad as they were.  It did get to be a pain taking them (I had someone else give them to me).  The test sucked bad!!  The more you are allergic to something, the stronger the reaction to it.  After being made a human pin cushion, my arms soon felt like they were on fire!

I would recommend getting tested so you can start soon.  It will take a while to have an effect.  I did not have any side effects, other than not having to take sinus medication all of the time now.  The only thing I would change about the shots would be starting them sooner.

Not if he described it to you like he did me. He went blind, lost all his muscular function, shit and pissed his pants. foamed at the mouth, swallowed his tongue, his blood pressure decreased to literally nothing. He would have died if the anti-venom type shit didn't kick in when it did.

Yes, it was a Dr. or nurse error.

My allergies pretty much incapacitated me for half the year as a kid.  I got the shots a couple times a week for 3 years in high school.  I still have allergies, but with 1 x Zyrtec a day I have NO symptoms.  I say do it.
