True Dat. Wandy is taylor made for Mirko. Wandy throws wide looping bombs with his very short arms. Against taller, counterfighters like Mirko, who use range and will counterpunch, he is gonna get KOed. With the exception of a few upkicks that Wandy delivered, he did nothing on the ground. He jumped up for a triangle once, switched out his hips infrequently, and was getting pummeled from guard. Can you imagine Mirko dropping elbows from guard?
Worse yet, Mirko is a southpaw who throws a nice cross. This cross is what closed Wandy's eye and prevented him from seeing the LHK. Wandy likes using the clinch, but one of Mirko's favorite anti TD defense is the "temple block" to a shove setting up a kick or a hook. VERY BAD Matchup for Wandy. He should stick to fighting undersized grapplers. Barring a big right hand, he should beat Hendo.
