HAHAHA !!!!! Look at this "fitness experts" claim
« on: January 31, 2007, 03:12:55 PM »
She claimed all of this on a 800-1000 calorie a day diet. Go and check out her and her husbands blog.

In two weeks,

I lost over 3% body fat
I lost 6 lbs of fat
I lost 5.5 inches from head to toe
I gained 2 pounds of lean muscle tissue

This thread is useless without a picture.

Actually, it's still useless.

Until then, it's an overfeed day, so I need to go find some more food.

Looks like she's allowed an extra celery stick today!   ;D

her "overfeed day" should be 1000 calories less than her regular day.

He is indeed quite the rainbow warrior when it comes to personal fitness. I can hear the 20lb kettlebells ringing.

Look at the puffer's journal. Oh brother. Way to "scheme out" to "attract" business. Hahahahah look at the little note I left him 8)

The Results Are In!
I'm fairly certain that this is the most significant change I've ever made in my physique over a 25 day period of time.  Even with the last week being derailed by that damn cold, I can honestly say I was very pleased with what I had accomplished when I looked in the mirror following my final training session.

I know you want numbers, and actually I was a bit anxious to see the numbers myself.  In this case, the numbers tell a story very similar to what I was feeling and seeing in the mirror.  I am incredibly proud of these numbers...

In only 25 days, I melted away 12.1 pounds of fat and packed on 7.7 pounds of new muscle.

Before
October 18,2006

Weight = 184#

18.6% Body Fat

Waist @ navel = 37.75"

After
November 11, 2006

Weight = 179.6#

12.3% Body Fat

Waist @ navel = 34.5"

I don't know that the pictures are nearly as impressive as the numbers, but either way I'm happy.

Interestingly enough the remainder of the measurements around my body remained fairly constant throughout this redistribution of tissue... some up a half an inch or so, others down about the same. The one major change in measurement was the drop of over 3 inches in my waist. Both at the navel, (which is a better indicator for me because it includes the "love handles") and at the belt line the reduction was similar at about 3"

Can I see my abs?  If the light is just right and I'm standing in just the right posture, there is some slightly noticeable definition.  Honestly, I know that in order to truly see definition in my midsection,  my body fat has to be below 10%.  I started out a little too fat to make it below 10% in only 3 weeks.  While I haven't quite made it into "photo shoot" shape,  I am definitely within striking distance and I can live with that.

This program was an overwhelming success!   As far as I'm concerned the results are nothing short of  amazing.... especially when you consider that many "experts" still profess that it's impossible to lose fat and gain significant lean tissue simultaneously.

Would I do it again?  Absolutely!   I will implement what I learned from this experience, so I won't have the trial and error of the first 7-10 days.  I don't know that I could make the numbers turn out too much better, but  slight adjustments to the program will increase the effectiveness next time around.

I may go for another round in a few weeks, but for now I am going to continue with the same general training program and return to a more normal pattern of eating.  The main change to my training will be an increase in the frequency of the weight training sessions to 3x per week as opposed to every 4th day.

Thank you for your support throughout this experiment.  The process of posting to this blog and the feedback that I received was an integral part of the program that was definitely a factor in my success.  I look forward to hearing from you and I will keep you posted as I attack this again in the near future.
