Eddie also paired up with with Fender. Each one of Eddie's "Frankenstien" guitars has been duplicated and sells for $25,000!! Here's a link toEddie playing the new amp, his guitar playing is terrible on this video, he sounds drunk when he speaks and plays the same boring solo stuff he played since 1979. I think the whole thing is a joke, especially when Eddie says, "it's great to be with a company that finallt "gets it".

Oh well.

Not having Micheal in the band for this tour is sad too. The Van Halen brothers need mental help.

Like I've said before, I've got over 100 bootlegs of the band from 1974 till the last tour, I have hundreds of vh interviews on tape and cd and video tape and this is just a cash grab plain and simple.

The way the brothers have treated Mikey is a disgrace. Sammy has said many times in interviews that Ed & Al treated him like shit over the years and if you watch some of Van Halen's TV interviews from 85-98, there are many jabs at Mike which are sought of tongue in cheek, but I think some of the jokes ran a bit deeper.

From what I can gather at this stage there will be no new material from the current lineup, this year will mark 9 years since we've had a Van Halen studio album (if you can call VH III an album and not a turd) and they will have only released 4 studio albums in a 21 year span. I hope this tour lasts long enough that they come to Australia, I will be one of the first to get tickets as VH is one of my top 5 bands of all time and always will be, but this is all so much like Spinal tap it's not funny.

Mike actually had to sign over his rights to Van halen to do the last tour. He can't make an appearance as "van halen's mike anthony" anymore..kinda sad. Ed didn't want anything to do with him on the last tour and Sammy basically had to say no mikey no tour and that's what got him in.

it's too bad the band just spiralled out of control over the last few years....just a shame.

Yep, I know. And when you consider than they've known Mike for nearly 40 years, I'm sorry to say it, but it says a lot about Ed & Al. I'm glad Sammy & Mike still stay in touch and have remained friends.
