we're going to check out the church this weekend just to see what the priest has to say.  I don't really care either way so unless he really annoys me and tries to 'convert' me, I would think I'll end up having it in a church, it'll probably make more people happy than it will annoy.  whereever i have it it'll be special, after all I will be getting the bride!  ;D
I know the feeling. If you do have a Catholic Wedding though, be aware that the priest will have about 6 weeks to prepare you for it, and they will ask for certain documents. Baptism and Confirmation papers to be exact.  You'll probably meet with him once a week and discuss issues like children, how to be honest and communicate, etc.
I actually thought it helped out because there were some underlying issues, mostly from things we said to each other that hurt our feelings, that it help to resolve. My wife was pretty shy, so she had a hard time telling me if I hurt her feelings and once I was made aware, I was really sorry. Really helped us to bond more and assure us the decision we were making was right.
We've been married almost 9 years now and I can say that it is the BEST decision I ever made.

Thanks for the comments.

2nd best decision was to be a stay at home dad with my daughter. I really wanted this because I hear so many stories of how females could not relate with their fathers, hence they kept things from them and never really could be open as they are with their mothers. I want to show my daughter that understanding and communication isn't hard to accomplish with family. I don't want to be the guy that just does disciplining when it's needed. Hopefully she will be able to share her joys and pains with me, like I share them with her mother.
