if you can get them for 1/2 the regular price then they are a decent product line....just overhyped and overpriced
Overpriced......IF you pay the full retail price for them.
As far as which products are worth it, here's my take on the MuscleTech products I've used.
CELL-TECH: I'd go with this (first and foremost), especially when the prices are marked down, as will be the case now that CELL-TECH Hardcore is on the shelf. On average, I can get these for $40-$48 per 7-lb. jug. I do miss the days of getting the old 7-lb jugs for as little as $20. That was when MuscleTech first changed its formula, from 10 grams of creatine monohydrate to 10 grams of "Crea-Edge", a blend of multiple creatines.
GAKIC: Good but too expensive. I had about three months' worth of the stuff, which I just used up two weeks ago. The catch is that I got it cheap, because it was the (now discontinued) powdered form. It does its thing, but LORD HAVE MERCY!!!!! IT TASTES ABSOLUTELY VILE!!! Mix it with strong orange/apple juice or you'll never get it down. For $32-$38, instead of the pills which are twice as much, you grin and bear the taste.
Anator P-70: Nice as well. But, get the Orange Cooler, not the Berry Blast. Although both tend to taste like cough medicine, the orange ain't as bad (although, I've never consumed either kind by itself; I mix it with CELL-TECH and a scoop of protein powder).
The MuscleTech fat-burners: Good stuff, overall, but with minor side effects. ThermoShred makes my scalp itch something terrible, like being clubbed with a cactus. And, though it hasn't happened to me, others have complained that they get red feces from the dye in Hydroxycut Hardcore. I haven't used ThermoGain (except for a trial-size bottle I got free with a jug of CELL-TECH).
NITRO-TECH: One MuscleTech supplement I can do without.....UNLESS I can get the RTDs or bars dirt cheap. I just ran out of the bars I got on sale from Vitamin Shoppe. I really miss the bottled NITRO-TECH RTDs, the Grape and Fruit punch ones. Those tasted great and were all whey protein; whereas the canned RTDs are a blended protein (whey and casein). As for the powders, I got them on sale (in the "Trial-Size jugs, for $4), when MuscleTech tried to get cute and come up with designer flavors like Chocolate Cinnamon Swirl and Crange Creme, both of which left me with a bad aftertaste and a headache.
MESO-TECH: The old MRPs (with 52 grams of whey protein) were great, especially when I found a store offering them on clearance for $14 a box. The one with 45 grams of NITRO-TECH don't taste as good, but they aren't quite as thick. I haven't tried MESO-TECH Complete.
LEUKIC: Pretty good, but the pills are huge (reminds me of the old-school aminos). I wish they had this in powedered form (unless it ends up tasting like powdered GAKIC did. The coating on the pills has some weird sweet taste.
Overall, MuscleTech wares are good to go. I've found the best way to get them is on Gold Card day, with the markdowns. For the next two monts, MuscleTech is doing the "Buy one; get one 50% off" deal with all of their products, except the Hydroxycuts and Aplodan. Talking with a GNC clerk earlier today, I've been informed that the discount also applied to their marked-down MuscleTech products. And the Gold Card can be used with this promotion as well.
Come the 1st or 2nd of the new year, I plan to clean up. I already have my sights on getting a jug of CELL-TECH Hardcore and a marked-down jug of regular CELL-TECH. And, since I can't get the discount on Hydroxycut Hardcore, I may give ThermoSystem (ThermoGain and ThermoShred, together) a try.
