I agree with Scim, I'd rather take a shot from Fedor over Tyson (in his prime) anyday... at least Fedor seems somewhat compassionate and isn't that twisted and cold inside.. Tyson, would be getting away with murder if he could.

Back in his prime, just for the bling, from Tyson.  If it didn't kill me, I could use the millions that his opponents used to get to fix myself back up real good, and still have plenty left over.

I think Tyson would break my neck and put me in a wheelchair.seriously.

Hey AmericanBull- why is it that the best fighters in the UFC only collect a low six figures, sometimes barely that. someone posted the purse winnings of the last UFC I believe and it was not impressive. Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe, and even the lesser known fighters like Moorer and Bruno all made millions and that was during a time when big name boxing was only available on cable so there was less availability to the public, but yet they got paid. im not trying to knock MAA its a great sport and every entertaining, but you would think that the MMA fighters would
if you took the two best MMA fighters in the world and hyped up their fight as much as the Dela Hoya/Mayweather fight who would get the bigger audience? The Dela Hoya/Mayweather by a land slide.
who do you like in this weekends Icon fight? are you going? im looking forward to it!

The UFC sold more PPVs than boxing did last year.  The published purses do not include PPV percentage shares that the fighters get.  It still doesn't equal what boxing gets, but mma revenues are in their infancy.  I believe we will see that changing as time rolls by.  The 18-34 male demographics are already gravitating toward mma, and with unifying Pride and the UFC, the working of Elite/K1/Strikeforce/Bodog will set up TWO elite leagues wherein athletes can earn more money, with the money, the younger athletes will be attracted, and we will get better and better fighters.  I don't attend local MMA shows simply for the type of crowd it attracts.  After the Marcelo/Egan fight back in 99, I could count on two hands the amount of shows I went to.  Too many riots, too many fights, don't feel comfortable taking my wife and three year old son to......  Trigg/Lawler should be a barn burner, and Charuto and Mayhem on the undercard?   Wow!  Of course, I am a jits based fighter, so I like seeing good groundwork.

In Hawaii it gets out of hand at the Blaisdell.   And I was in the 5th row at the Tyson Bruno fight and I swear to god you could feel Tyson punch when he hit Bruno.  You could not only hear it, but feel it.  Unreal power.  And he knew how to throw with everything behind it.  His hips and shoulders turned perfectly.

Locals from Waianae + Heineken beer+thinking you know how to fight=riot.  NO thanks.  Next big show I see will be a mainland production, with higher ticket prices and no thugs.  Last fight I saw was Rodrigo/Penn, and the Hammer was about to get jiggy with locals.  Of course nobody wanted a piece of Mark.
