Why is it, if it's not Valentine's Day or her birthday/anniversary, flowers are an I Screwed Up gift?  A guy with flowers during a non holiday seems to be a guy with his head hung low, who screwed up with his girl and needs to apologize.

Most guys never think about giving their girl flowers otherwise.  In fact, if you want to make a big bang with your gal, the best thing to do is pick a random day, and have flowers sent To Her Work, because all the other women will notice a delivery of flowers with a "just because you're you" note on them, and talk about it amoung themselves, saying...my boyfriend/husband has never done that, she must have some guy!

I've always wondered the same thing??  I get flowers for no reason...and it totally makes my day! 

Guys should know...if you make her day, she'll make your night! (thats my philosophy)

yeah...the idea is not to make flowers a repair job, rather a surprize tool to let her know she's special

Thats not necessarily true. It depends on the guy. If he is a thoughtless jackass like most of the ladies seem to go after, then yes. Unfortunately most women mistaken a "bad boy" for an alpha male. "Bad boy" types are class "A" idiots that make it tougher for decent guys to find a good woman. I don't like tooting my own horn but I always treated a girlfriend with flowers for no reason once in a while just to show I cared. It doesn't take much at all to make a persons day and put a mile on their face. Hope this helps or sheds some light so to speak.  :)

I send or give flowers a lot.... just because .... its Wednesday etc... My grand parents use to own a couple of flower shops and I work for them as a young boy delivering with the drivers etc and I noticed then women love flowers.... especially on just a Wednesday....... when I am seeing a lady I will give her flowers about once a week......

I gave flowers out of the blue a couple of times, to say how much I appreciated her...her favorite flowers (lilac lilies).

that night I got a surprise in a blue thong....
