There are more spontaneous abortions than there are live births, right?
Can you imagine how productive society would NOT be if we wasted time wondering what each of those embryos or fetuses 'might've been'?
You have a very good point, but no, the abortion rate has actually gone down since it was legalized.
I have very mixed feelings on the subject myself, but I try to keep an open mind.
-My standpoint: Killing fetuses is generally and somewhat morally wrong, depending on the development of the baby. That's true. If I were to get a girl pregnant now (Which I don't want to do), I'd still keep it because I personally would not want to kill my own genes. And besides, it's my freakin' kid.
-To those who would do the opposite: That's fine. America is a free country and should remain that way. If you were to ask for my personal opinion or advice, I would tell you to either do what I would do or make up your own mind, but in the end, it's entirely and purely hypothetically up to you. The second we stop letting our citizens do what they wish with their bodies and lives is the same second that we will cease to be a country of "freedom".
