What is it with people?
« on: April 14, 2007, 05:14:37 AM »
So I'm at the gym and one of the trainers lifts up his shirt to show some love handles. No joke, LOL! Asks what he should be doing for his abs.

Like an idiot I ask "what have you been doing?".

Him, "cardio and Abs every day".

Me, "how long?"

Him, "two weeks"

So I'm trying to be encouraging and say basially, two weeks isn't a lot of time and that he should stick with it. Now, I should have just fucking left right then but had one more set of crunches to do. But no...

"What's your diet like?"

"A lot of carbs and beer"

"Man, how the fuck you gonna lose weight eating carbs and drinking beer?!"

"I've been on vacation" Laughing. "Do you think I should take **?

"No, don't take that shit just cut your carbs"

There was more abuse. Sometimes I swear people just want to get me going.

Bluto

At the gym yesterday, they were talking about Don Imus. I said if a black guy said the same thing it wouldn't have even made the news. Everyone knew I was right. Funny, this older guy was like.. listen to rap music, that's how they talk about our women! Why wouldn't we expect other people to talk about them that way?

Thats because in the USA right now if you are white and male everybody can take shots but you can't say anything. If I was walking down the street and I started trading verbal barbs with a black guy and a fight breaks out and I win its a hate crime, if he wins its just a fight no matter if no racist comments are used by either side. I understand it's backlash for either precieved oppression or real oppression suffered but it is not fair in any sense of the word.

i'm gonna have to disagree. imus got in trouble not because he's white, he got in trouble because he's a political commentator with a TV show. and even on that front glenn beck, rush, coulter, hannity, o'reilly, savage say all kinds of awful things and they haven't gotten in trouble like this.
